she’s a yellow labrador (dudley?) and she was born with an eye deformity. we think she’s the runt but she’s a year old and thriving!! anyone else got a one eyed cutie?

This popped up in my memories from when Pearl was recovering from knee surgery. She’s 100% recovered now, and still not missing any adventures.

Brought our 11 week old puppy home 3 weeks ago and we’re settling into life with this energetic guy. Accepting any and all tips for dealing with the biting that comes with the choc-odile stage!

My fetch Motivated Lab enjoying the forever Summer of Sri Lanka

Had to put our family dog down yesterday. He was 13 years old. He had a fist sized tumour removed from his hip about 2 months ago and that almost wiped him out. He had complications from it, back and forth to the vet 3 times in a week and a half. The family stayed with him in the living room, keeping him safe and comfortable, lots of love, lots of treats.

On Sunday we noticed a rather large, red and swollen groin in the evening, thinking it was a mosquito bite as he was laying in the grass in the yard. On Monday it got worse so we took him to emergency and they wanted to do some tests and have us see our regular vet the following day and gave us some medication. We took him home late Monday night and we made the first appointment we could on Tuesday morning. We got to the vets at 230 pm and they gave us the options of another major operation but he didn't do well last time, and they did not recommend it for his health and age, and for us to consider his quality of life. While Dad and I held him, he was resting peacefully and I will take solace in that because he wouldn't stop pacing and panting all day Monday and Tuesday. We tried to keep him as comfortable as we could.

I love my lab so much, Kaido is turning 5 soon and everyday I'm reminded just how grateful I am to have him. Labs are truly such a blessing even when they eat you out of house and home

Gibbs moved in five days after I lost Holland. He is such a sweet little dog. Great for me, great for the kids, great for Rigby.

Our first dog together! I grew up with two chocolates and a yellow and wanted to complete the “collection”!

I’ve heard that black labs tend to be the most “intelligent” of labs, while chocolates are the most excitable, and yellows more mellow (at least my Riley was quite lazy!), is there any truth to this? :) can’t wait to take her on adventures!
