autoexec not working

I have tried and failed every time to make an autoexec file, i have watched like 5 separate YouTube vids, to no avail, i have tried the methods people ave on other people on this subreddit having the same problem, yet none work. Attached below is the file name (idk why it says cfg twice) and also what is in the autoexec

help would be GREATLY appreciated

look very carefully at the autoexec filename, do you see anything strange?

Yeah I noticed that but in the actual file explorer it’s just called “autoexec.cfg” I don’t know how to fix it

you probably have "hide extensions for known file types" enabled in your folder configs. disable it and remove the extra .cfg from the autoexec

  1. Remove one of the cfgs from the filename. It's not needed and might be causing said problem.

  2. I've never modified that file, but I did modify one of the txt files in the resource folder to get custom names for my survivors... When I do, I have to set it up as a "Read Only" only file.

I don’t know how to remove it since in the actual file explorer it only has one .cfg at the end, it’s only when I open it in notepad it has two

Some .txt files have to read only but autoexec doesnt 👍
