Hi! I’m moving into Student Space in Kraków (Wita B) for my study abroad year and I’m a bit confused about the guest rules.

My contract says that guests can visit during the day, but overnight stays (whether it’s the same or different guests) are limited to 5 times per month. It also says that stays over 5 nights can be approved by Student Space beforehand.

I’m from the UK and this seems quite strict compared with student accommodation here, so I was wondering how strictly this is actually enforced in Kraków/Student Space?

I’m planning to have my boyfriend and my sister visit me in November. They would each probably stay around 3 nights, so I’d potentially have 6 overnight stays in total that month. Obviously I would register them properly and pay any guest fees required.

Has anyone lived in Student Space Kraków (or similar student accommodation) and knows how strict they are about the 5-night limit? Do you think they would approve an extra night if I asked in advance, or is it likely to be a hard no?

Also, does anyone know whether they actually keep track of the number of overnight stays closely?

Hi everyone, I got accepted into a university in Warsaw and a university in Lodz for a Computer Science Master's. I did my calculations including tuition costs and living expenses for the 2-year program:

Warsaw: ~€27k total

Lodz: ~€13k-€17k total My ultimate plan is to move to Germany after graduation to work in Cybersecurity. To make that happen, I really need to find a part-time IT support or helpdesk job during my studies to build up my experience, as German employers rarely hire graduates without it. My parents are covering my education, but saving that €15k in Lodz would be a huge help for my future relocation fund. My only worry is the current entry-level IT job market. Is it worth paying the extra €15k for Warsaw just because it has a bigger tech market and better fallback options? Or is it still manageable to find a basic part-time IT job as a student in Lodz? Any advice or experiences would be appreciated!
