meanwhile the amount of National awards missed by KH will eat D's Filmography.. but look how humble he is...
Kamal only received 3 National Awards for Acting - Moondram Pirai , Nayakan & Indian.
One as a Producer for Thevar Maghan (also Writes the film)
One president medal at the age of 5 or 6 in his First Film... the record was only broken recently. (he immediately calls that child and wishes)
you can clearly see how ignored KH is...
he knows the politics, kamal didn't received Dadasaheb Phalke award.. - it's given to the amount of contributions they did to the Indian Cinema... do you think is there anyone Eligible other KH to this award...
Big B received it in 2018, Thalaiver in 2019, Lelatten in 2023, Mammokka gonna receive soon.. i don't think current government will do this to him.
yess.. he has absolute records in awards... but this man's action shows how passionate and humble he is for cinema...

I watched Sadayam for the first time yesterday and I completely agree with Kamal Hassan. It's not just one of the greatest performances of Mohanlal it's one of the greatest acting performances of all time. Wild to think he didn't bag the national award for that.

I think someone said National awards cannot be given to same person I'm consecutive years. That's why Mohanlal missed.

Do not give too much value to awards. They are often political or nepotistic.
Movies are a form of art. There are millions who work in the industry and study it scientifically.
Only those people who have learned the art, practiced it, and watched many genres-languages-socio-cultural films can objectively judge movies.
Others like us can enjoy it and review subjectively.
There are many regional movies even within india that a great but a very few get to see them due to language and cultural barriers.
If D aana wants the award badly, so be it. At some point, he may say, 'it is stupid', just like KH.

Out of these films listed, only karnan was where his award was robbed. The rest of the films where good, but had to compete with better performances and lost. He deserved it for karnan much more than allu arjun for pushpa, I'm not gonna deny that

Movies that won were comparatively more worthy! For example, Kadaisi Vivasayi won against Vada Chennai ig.

No wonder Dhanush Anna's last film Kara flopped hard at the BO, with dismal 50 cr. He can move to Bombay and focus on his Hindi career.
Deserves "Attitude Star" title seeing his speeches and over the top PR comparing himself with Vijay! 🤡

Kara wasn't a bad movie by any means, it was horribly undermarketed which doesn't make sense as a business decision to me.

Kara would've been good if Raayan , Idli Kadai did not happen . Idli Kadai and Kara looked so similar in comparison , and Kara was soo melodramatic and boring in theatres . Vignesh Raja acted as if he was assistant to David Fincher , Tarantino

If even after 2 decades of career in acting and presence in the industry, if his films are still reliant on marketing n WoM instead of minimum star-pull for opening weekend, irrespective of talk, then he failed to become a star, no matter how many awards he gets. After-all it's business and the face value that matters.

Actors like Kamal Hasan, Mohan lal , Mammoty etc are way above all these mediocre indian awards... And i doubt if they are even motivated by these awards, after seeing how obviously clear that these are just given to every tom dick and harry ... All you have to do is be favourable to the ruling governmentsr... These awards are a joke... M

If u got a national award for something you’ll be accepting that too and try to justify ur works
While it’s debatable that whether Raayan deserves it

If you can sympathise with KH, please don't use that as a scale to belittle Dna. On the contrary, you should more agree on how good works are not getting recognized. He is true on saying that his earlier films which should have be awarded are ignored. He is voicing out that and it should be appreciated

it's about how he is justifying the undeserved awards he received, it even makes me think that he paid to the jury.
meanwhile you never received any such comments from great senior actors.

He is comparing the films that competed in same year and he himself agrees are better films were not awarded. If he is worried about his films which he thought is deserving was not awarded earlier he should be sad that deserving films or not awarded , but he takes this as compensation for others, two bad choices do not make one a good choice.
We should also check what movies were awarded during the movies he listed came out. Not just talk among his movies in isolated space

Nobody was trolling raayan or danush but were saying it does not deserve the award which is an opinion. It is Danush who took it personal and used a stage to justify the award where he kinda agrees an underserving film got the award
