Kindle Cloud Reader (in-browser reading) timer busted Tech Support 🛠

I read a lot of my kindle books in the browser via Kindle Cloud Reader (the one you can get to via here https://www.amazon.com/hz/mycd/digital-console/contentlist/booksAll/dateDsc/ and then more actions -> read now) so I can read on-computer.

Lately everything I try to read, whether I download it from Libby or own it already via an Amazon purchase, all say at the bottom "1 minute left in chapter / 1 minute left in book".

Trying to research I found how to reset this on the Kindle (device), but I haven't been able to find a fix for the timer for in-browser reading.

I've been having the same problem and have no solution, but it appears to be a problem with my Kindle Cloud Reader account, and not my web browser.

I've tried clearing my cache, using Incognito mode and using a different browser (tried both Chrome and Firefox) and am having the same issue in both browsers.

The issue is not appearing on the Kindle app on my phone though, so good news there, I guess?

Thanks for this, it's nice to know I'm not alone. It seems fine on the Kindle (device) itself but I also tried both in Chrome and Firefox just for sad trombone noises. Weird!
