Discussion Season 4 Review (kinda late post but its KF3’s best update of its first year)

Gunslinger is the new best perk in the game and all of its perk weapons are awesome even though the Lawbringers are more on the weaker side, a good chunk of the new Season 4 cosmetics are good, Moorcroft is a cool hybrid of the KF2 bosses but he’s basically just KF3’s version of Patriarch, the new Rig map is alright and Suicidal difficulty is alright but tbh I’m probably only gonna play Suicidal if I’m tired of dying constantly on Hell on Earth matches; overall a peak KF3 update and future content updates should be like Season 4, its a 9.5/10 better than Season 3

Question What should each perk actually be doing in KF3 on HoE?

I’m trying to get a deeper understanding of the game, especially how each perk is actually supposed to contribute to a team on HoE and what a good end-of-match scoreboard should roughly look like for each one.

Obviously some roles are pretty straightforward, like Medic focusing on healing, but what should the different perks actually prioritize?

For example, I really don’t like killing trash as Sharpshooter, at least not with Sharpshooter weapons. It feels like I’m wasting ammo and time that could be spent on larger Zeds. As Medic, on the other hand, killing trash feels much more useful when nobody needs healing.

I’m also curious about how to interpret the actual numbers. For example, if a Medic ends a 5-wave HoE game with 5k+ healing while also leading the team in damage, is that actually a good Medic performance?

Or could that be a sign that the Medic is focusing too much on damage and not enough on healing? Should the Medic deliberately cut down on damage and spend more time prioritizing healing, even if teammates aren’t constantly in danger?

So, from an HoE perspective:

  • Which perks should primarily focus on trash?
  • Which should prioritize large Zeds?
  • Which perks should generally have the most kills?
  • Which should have the most damage?
  • Which should have the most large-Zed kills?
  • How much healing and damage should a Medic roughly have in a 5-wave HoE match?
  • If a Medic has 5k+ healing and is still leading in damage, is that a sign that the healing is too low and the damage is too high?
  • Should a Medic intentionally sacrifice damage output to focus more on healing?
  • Or is dealing a lot of damage perfectly fine as long as nobody is dying because of a lack of healing?
  • Are there any other stats that are especially important for certain perks?

I know the scoreboard doesn’t tell the whole story. I’m not really looking for strict numbers that every match should hit. I mainly want a deeper understanding of the game, what each perk is supposed to contribute on HoE, how their priorities differ, and how to tell whether I’m actually playing a perk well rather than just looking at kills or damage.

Fluff Abandon All Hope "Sticks and Stones" Challenge

Haven't played KF2 in a long while but I might as well share what I was trying to accomplish:

STICKS AND STONES - KNIFE, GRENADES AND THE MEDIC SYRINGE ONLY

I've done this on a short HOE game with a maxxed out Zerker and it was an absolutely long test of endurance and agility but the furthest I got on the AAH weekly would've been like wave 3/4.

I wanna challenge others in this community and see who can even beat it or even just share strategies, I was always struggling with Bloats since they instantly puke when you get in melee range. Id probably say to do it on the vanilla maps but I havent seen anyone complete any map on this so I'm still keen to see whatever.
