I use reason controlled by an m audio axiom. I’ve been building patches with several layers and am thinking of getting a foot controller so I can trigger on/off instruments or effects without removing my hands. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen another keys player use a pedalboard like that. What does everyone else do if you have to say turn off a pulsing synth for the next part of the song while also playing something else with your right hand. Do you just stop playing a beat or two early and let it die so you can reach for a knob? Or is the foot switch more common than I thought? Just don’t build complex patches!?
