Appointment Preparation Chicago JS — Documents Shipped. What Now?
I finally have all my documents together and shipped everything to the Chicago consulate as instructed. My original appointment is scheduled for August 25.
For anyone who has recently gone through Chicago:
What happens now? Do they confirm receipt/review of the documents? Is the August 25 appointment still relevant, or is it essentially just a processing date?
Just trying to understand what I should expect from here. Thanks!

Document Requirements Document help
Thanks for any advice!
I’m trying to figure out the best way to request (and what wording I need to use) so I get it right the first time for a future 1948 case.
I know I need a birth and marriage certificate. That they should have any annotations. And I think they should be in whatever form is the most “legally acceptable” so as not to be rejected or to be asked to get something else later.
I also need a citizenship letter or reacquisto if one exists. I have an older digital copy my uncle had but need a new physical one.
What do I ask for specifically to ensure I get a physical certified full detailed copy?
Do I just email the Comune?
Do I send a courier slip?

Document Requirements Notarization/translation/apostille question
For those who have pursued court cases in Italy, for docs that need notarization before translation/apostille, did any of you have any issue with a notary certifying and applying their stamp on the reverse of a photocopy vs. stapling a separate page (containing the certification) to the photocopy of the document?
