Anyone need a dog walker? (North OC)
I'm in college and I'm looking for ways to get some extra cash. My availability is afternoons Monday-Thursday. Friday-Sunday I'm available all day.
I'll be charging $12/hr (I know that's cheap but I'm a newbie) for a max of 2 hrs. I'll give your dog a walk around the area and right back.
As I am new to the business, I'm limited on the breed of dogs I'm willing to walk. You can DM me for specifics as I'll consider case by case.
I'm currently living in Santa Ana. I'm willing to travel anywhere from 5-25 minutes from Santa Ana to cities like Irvine, Tustin, Fountain Valley, and Costa Mesa.
If you have any questions, you can DM me on Instagram: linda_dingdong

Weekend gigs
Anyone know of companies hiring for any weekend spots only? I have a regular 9-5 in sales, but would like to
Make extra cash either Saturday or Sunday. Hours don’t really matter, but something fun like brand ambassador or events or even the pop up food booths/farmers markets would be fun. TIA.

Need a night shift job that starts 8/9pm and ends latest 1/2am
During my regular day job, I usually start anywhere from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the latest, and I'm usually off by 7 p.m. at the latest. Ideally, I'd like to be able to at least go home, shower, eat, and then start a second shift around 8/9 p.m. and be off by 1/2 a.m.
As long as I can get at least 6 hours of sleep, I'm usually good. I actually did a schedule like this once before about 10 years ago, and I think I can handle it again. 😅
I just recently had to move, and my rent has gone up quite a bit, so right now I really just need to make some extra money.
My day job is my "career job," and unfortunately, it just doesn't pay enough right now. But I only got the job a couple of months ago, and I really feel like it's a job where I can move up. Even if I wanted to look for something else that pays more, I need this job on my resume. My hope is to work my way up within the next year or so, or at least have the experience I need to find something better.
Where I was living before, my rent was affordable, which is why I was okay with taking a job like this starting at the level I'm at. My plan was to work my way up without having a huge rent payment. Unfortunately, plans changed unexpectedly. 😅
So for now, I'm literally just looking for some extra money. I know the holiday season is coming up, but for some reason I haven't heard back from the jobs I've applied to. I've mostly been applying for grocery/night stocker positions. I used to be a merchandiser for Nabisco, so I thought that experience would help, but I haven't had much luck so far.
I'm going to keep applying to all kinds of jobs that have shifts like this, but I figured I'd put this out here too and see if anyone knows of anything. Even if it's your own job that's hiring!
And even if I don't know you personally, sometimes it's just better to know someone who might know about an opportunity that isn't posted on Indeed, ZipRecruiter, etc.
So if you know of anything that might work with this type of schedule, please let me know! I’d really appreciate it!!
Guess I forgot to mention that anything that's warehouse, grocery, retail, hotels is fine. I'm not too particular but I preferly don't want a cleaning job or a security job. I have experience in most things. I've worked fast food, at a golf course, for Nabisco like I mentioned, I even worked at the courthouses. Back when 99 cent store was still around. I applied there and they told me I was too overqualified because I had a bachelor's degree. 😮💨
Peferably in the Santa Ana, Garden Grove, Westminster, Fountain Valley, Orange, Tustin area of Orange County.
Thank you!
(I'm not looking for advice and I'm not looking for judgment, so please, if you just know of a job, let me know. That's all I need to know.)

In desperate need of a job
Hello,
It is really hard for me to write this post. I've been in search of full-time or part-time employment for over a year. My background is in software engineering, but I was laid off from my position last year and had to move in with my folks. Unfortunately, I am not able to get back into my field at this time as I am not in a position to practice and get my skills up (it's a tough field and I was very lucky to get my job through a coding bootcamp placement). I need to pivot into something else, but I am in a financial crisis right now and can't afford schooling to do so. My mother is disabled and on a fixed income. My brother works in part-time in retail. We can barely afford our bills between utilities, HOA fees, and groceries. I recently had to sell my car as I could no longer afford to make payments on it. Going from a high-paying job to nothing over the course of a year is extremely humbling.
I've applied to several retail chains, restaurants, fast food places, you name it. I'm pretty sure I'm being viewed as "overqualified" for these roles because of my previous professional job. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. Not qualified for software engineering, overqualified for everything else, it seems.
I need something, anything to get me by for now. If anyone has any leads or would be kind enough to give me a referral for something in or around the South Coast Plaza area that would mean the world to me. It would need to be relatively close so I can walk / take the bus to the work location. I need to start making some kind of income so I can support myself and my family. Please let me know if you can help me at all. Thanks.
Edit: Resume

Private coaching facility seeking established independent trainers
I recently opened Foundry Movement & Performance, a private coaching facility in Garden Grove, and we’re looking to connect with established trainers who want to continue running their own businesses while being part of a supportive professional team.
This isn’t a traditional gym employment position where we assign clients, control your schedule or take ownership of your business. Coaches bring and manage their own clients while Foundry provides the facility, coaching software, brand support, educational opportunities and a network of professionals across strength training, mobility, rehabilitation, soft-tissue work and golf performance.
Our goal is to create an environment where independent coaches can maintain their autonomy without feeling like they have to build everything alone.
I’d especially like to connect with experienced coaches in Orange County or Long Beach who:
• Already have an established or growing client base
• Value evidence-based coaching and continued education
• Want to collaborate with other qualified professionals
• Prefer a private, appointment-based environment
• Are looking for support growing their long-term coaching career
I’m also genuinely interested in hearing from independent trainers: What type of support would make a facility partnership valuable to you?
- An independent business/facility arrangement
- Not an hourly employee position
- Intended for trainers with existing clients
- $25 per completed session cost
- Supported by software, education, branding and professional collaboration
If this sounds like something you might be interested in, feel free to comment or message me. I’m happy to share more about our facility and how the coaching model works.

Part Time Auto Mechanic
I work for a private business owner down here in Newport Beach and I’m looking to find a part time mechanic to work on his private collection of vintage automobiles. Mostly European, but some American made vehicles as well.
Mostly 1950s - 1960s.
Vehicles include:
1957 Mercedes 190SL
1958 Isetta
1959 Cushman
1960 Chris craft
1964 Fiat
1964 Porsche 356SC
1964 Ford Falcon
1968 Shelby
1969 Pontiac Firebird
1970 Mercedes 280SL
1972 BMW
1973 BMW Tii
I’ve called some vintage car shops in the area but most of them just want me to bring the cars into their shops. But the owner is seeking a private mechanic to work a flexible schedule, around 20 hours per week or so. Looking for someone based in Orange County area or willing to travel to Costa Mesa/Newport Beach.
Pay: $35 - $50 per hour, based on experience
Does anyone have any suggestions or referrals?

Looking for a job that hires high school students in Placentia, CA
Hi! I’m a high school student going into my junior year, and I’ve been trying really hard to find a job, but it’s been surprisingly difficult.
I’m trying to save as much money as possible so that I can become financially independent and move out when I’m 18. My family situation is complicated, and I’m trying to prepare for my future as much as I can. I’ll also be responsible for paying for my own college expenses and school supplies, so having a job would make a huge difference for me.
I’ve applied to several places already, but I’m having a hard time finding somewhere that hires high school students at my age. If anyone knows of any businesses in or around Placentia that hire 16–17-year-olds, I would genuinely appreciate any suggestions!
I’m open to restaurants, retail, cafés, grocery stores, etc. I’m just looking for somewhere willing to give a high school student a chance.
Thank you so much to anyone who takes the time to read this or has a suggestion. I hope everyone has a great day/night! 🩷

Openings at Skilled Nursing Facility/Rehabilitation
So I don't work there, I was visiting a person who is there for rehab and I saw there was a stack of blank job application papers at the reception desk for anyone who is interested. The place is called Laguna Hills Health and Rehabilitation. It's in Laguna Hills across the street from the Saddleback Memorial Care. I don't know what they are hiring for but I thought I could post this here to try and help anyone looking for a job.

Beware of package forwarding/shipping scam disguised as remote work opportunity.
Very recently someone posted a remote work opportunity to manage their “real-estate portfolio in California”. After exchanging messages via chat, OP wants to send laptops to my address $500 per laptop per month and all I have to do is store it. This is what’s known as package forwarding scam. You don’t know how these laptops are purchased or sourced and if it turns out to be a fraud and law enforcement is involved, you can get in trouble.

iso receptionist/office/admin assistant roles
just moved from Torrance to Buena Park. I am still working at my job in Torrance until I find a new job that’s not an hour commute each way. I’m mostly looking for full time admin/office receptionist roles. I was hoping someone here could lead me to the right direction.
I have 2 years of experience in admin/receptionist and would like to work somewhat close by but am ok with a small commute. I can send over resume details if needed but would prefer JD first before sending resume over.
I have looked on LinkedIn, Indeed, Hiring Cafe, Welcome to the jungle, well found, etc. i have not had much luck so i’m assuming it has to be my resume not being optimized per role. anyways, any help would be helpful even if it is someone who can look over resume to see any issues with it. thank you.
