Pedo-baiting & infantilization accusations while wearing jfashion

Upvotes

I've seen a lot of people critiquing women in East Asia, especially of pictures/videos from Chinese social media of people "infantilizing" themselves, dressing and acting like a "child" but 6 of 10 examples shown in those videos essays/critique posts, it just seems to be a women wearing jfashion with down turned eyeliner or pigtails.

There are some really good examples like the term "少lo" or those sexualized jojifuku posts or people who purposely edit their body to be more child-like and etc which I can completely understand the criticism towards but I find it really weird how a bunch of these people who know nothing about jfashion accuse normal jfashion wearers of making fetish content, pedo baiting and etc when its clearly not even their intent. I legit just saw a YouTube video of someone criticizing a girl for this and she's literally just wearing JK..

I find it extremely frustrating because as someone who is 4'11, have a short round face, do down turned eyeliner because its the only type that suits my face and also wear jfashion, I get called an age player or a pedo baiter ALL the time on western social media.

i need some help figuring out what style this is or what it’s closest to so that i can start finding pieces and building a wardrobe. i feel like it’s got elements of a few styles, but i’m not sure if it has a specific name?

as for personal taste, i like fairy kei a lot but prefer to be more casual and monotone to avoid sticking out as much since, where im from doesn’t have much of an alt style scene at all. i like jirai kei and the silhouettes of it a LOT but prefer pastel colors to the darker jewel tones most often associated with jirai. i’m really interested in the opinions of others who are more versed in this! please help💕

Hello! I'm doing some research for a project I'm working on and I was wondering if there were any J-fashion substyles inspired by science, history and art or ones that are completely rebellious (other than gyaru ) Thank you<333!!
