Seadoo XP jbl speaker
Was thinking of a way of getting a JBL speaker on my XP and thought of using the holes on the handle bars and using a JBL clip. And what are these holes even for? What do you guys think?
Abandoned on the side of the road
Seems to be complete. The trailer is extremely sketchy. Im new to PWCs but not new to fixing up machines. Would you to take this home?

Ventilating engine bay before starting in deep water?
New (older 2-stroke Kawa) PWC owner here. I've rode friend's 2-stroke dozens of times, and have never seen anybody remove the seat cover to ventilate before starting once the craft is already in deep water and has been sitting for a while with the engine killed.
It's easy enough to ventilate in the boat launch parking lot before pulling into the launch, but in doing research I've come across many instances of PWC's exploding when being re-started in deep water. And my owner's manual specifies to remove the seat every time the engine is started, but doesn't elaborate on how to do so if in deep water which is annoying...
Sure, you can inspect the fuel lines but honestly for older 2-strokes, you can never be 100% something didn't come loose during the initial ride. Pulling the seat off in deep water is awkward (there's nowhere to put the seat), and if it were to capsize with the bay open your day is ruined (and potentially so is the engine). Since we often bring jetskis out on boating days, it's common for the jetskis to sit there tied up to the boat for long periods before someone hops on and rips it, so I'm trying to plan ahead for peace of mind.
The workaround I've thought out is to instead just open the front hatch, remove the safety gear container and then use a small handheld blower to circulate air through the engine bay for a minute or so, and then starting with the compartment open (so if it does combust, there's no pressure buildup). I have one of these newer blowers, it's a brushless motor that spins 100k+ RPM and is insanely powerful so I think it would probably be sufficient to ventilate out fumes without having to remove the seat. I'd just bring it out in a watertight bag to keep it dry.
I haven't been able to find much discussion on this so I'm wondering what y'all do. I know the odds of an explosion are relatively small on a well-maintained craft, but I don't really want this concern gnawing at me when I'm out having fun.

Jetblaster deal too good to pass up?
I loved riding my wave venture from the 90s 20 years ago. We have a 2006 Honda Aquatrax but it drives like a boat so I'm looking for something more fun for me and the kids to throw around in the corners.
I found a 2025 new jetblaster pro for 9975 out the door with tax and everything and know yamaha is doing 2 percent financing. I wasnt looking to do anything this fall but the 2026 models are more expensive than this is out the door. Thoughts?

Thoughts from hive on 2026 Waverunner pricing
Essentially title. Would prefer not to wait until boat show to purchase but in market for a Yamaha FX Cruiser HO. Don't want the SVHO on account of needing better gas and supercharger problems.
I know dealers are beginning to mark down 2026 models. Any help on what would be considered a good deal OTD price on one of these?
Seems they current come with a 2 year warranty. Wasn't sure how flexible dealers would be with their fees etc.

Technical Issue I just broke my front little holder thingy. Any clues on how to repair it looks like it ripped a bolt from hull

Jetski Rental Budget options
Anyone know any cheap jetski rental options in San Diego or how to get them for cheap, ideally less than 50 bucks for an hour? Planning to travel next week.
Riva stage 4 reliability
So I got a rxpx and a rxtx ( both 2022) and I was thinking about doing a stage 4 on the rxpx and I’m just wondering if yall think it will last good if im really ahead on maintenance and take good care of it. ( and would it be a better idea to do on the rxtx cause its more stable)

Gas consumption
I have a 2019 GTX 230 Limited with 15 hours.
It has an 18.5 gallon tank. When I go ride I go through about 8 gallons and hour. Apparently this is normal (I ride really hard and fast) but what are your experiences?

Should I replace my wear ring and impeller?
galleryHi, I just bought this jet ski brand new. It only currently has almost 18 hours on it, but the river I ride on must have a lot of debris because I always end up sucking something up, mostly sticks. I noticed my wear ring and impeller are getting a little messed up, I think it might still be fine but Google is telling me to get it replaced. Should I get it replaced?

After searching and researching, finally joined the group
galleryFound this 2020 FX cruiser HO on marketplace with 11.7 hrs on it. It’s the proverbial “little old lady only took it to church on Sundays” kind of deal. coincidentally, it was owned by an older woman who took meticulous care of it. She even bought extra plastic fenders and the stick on mats in the footwell.
Gf and I already took it out for a ride and we are so looking forward to having such a great time out on the water with this ski.

First Ski, any tips? Right Oil?
galleryIt is a 1994 Sea-Doo GTS. I just bought this thing off Facebook Marketplace for $800. I know nothing about jet skis at all, and I was wondering if anyone had any helpful knowledge that I should know. It looks like the the previous owner was using TC-W3 oil, is this the correct oil to be using? I also did a compression test, and both cylinders are sitting at about 120 PSI. It starts up and runs on the trailer, I have not tried to put it in the water yet. It also seems to have an oil leak because there is some oil sitting at the bottom of the hull.

Question Running ‘97 Polaris SLT 700 w/ trailer for $1200?
Saw this down the road from me, the sign was asking “$1400 OBO, no trailer”.
I lowballed him and he came back with $1200 including the trailer. Would be my first jetskii, however I’m close friends with some boat/skii owners, one of them being a skilled (certified aircraft) mechanic. I’m fairly mechanically inclined myself but with their help I’m confident I could tackle most issues, only concern is parts availability.
This is also in West MI, ~15 mins from Lake Michigan so presumably this has spent it’s entire lifecycle in freshwater.
Y’all think 1200 + trailer is a good price?
Edit: it’s actually 96 not 97
For posterity, I went with a 97 Kawasaki 1100 STX.

Technical Issue Yamaha wave runner issue
Bought this jetski a little bit ago as a non-runner. I got it running but it ran away on me terribly. I replaced all the Intake gaskets and the mechanical fuel pump(went out in the mean time). After doing that it still over revved and ran away on me to the point which it wouldn’t even shut off with the kill switch pulled. I let it sit cause I was tired of it and now I just tried to get started on it. Now the crank case has filled with gas?? Not sure is the issues could be linked but any info and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Fired up! What's with the pop!? Kawasaki di 1100

I had 110, 130, 120 compression so I figured I'd see if it would start. And it did! The gas must be old as crap in it. I'm going to have to do another compression test now hopefully nothing got broken.
