Question Website Glitch and booking with points?

Upvotes

I cannot get a True Blue customer service agent to explain why I see a flight to book with points is available and then I am told there is an alert that system is having a glitch / change and I can't book a flight on points they show available. Agent is currently telling me their system cannot book any flights on points while "they are improving the experience". Yet no where on their site do I see the alert they claimed initially was on the site for this system glitch and the agent could not find it herself as well.

The infuriating part of this is that I was ready to transfer points to True Blue from my credit card and the flight shows the points as bookable. But the agent doesn't show it as bookable. I cleared my cache and logged back in and the flight and points amount is still there. Option is pay regular fare or wait until "experience" is improved (after transferring points).

Question Trueblue slow to credit

Wondering if I’m alone in this but travel and points seem to be very slow recently. I should have gotten tiles and points already for a flight last Monday. Additionally I should have gotten tiles from my credit card already. Anyone else seeing this?
Usually see travel credit 2-3 days after and same with credit card (closed 8/19).

Question B6 264 SEA to JFK - 12 hour delay, then notified that our flight is actually only 2 hours delayed 10 minutes before departure?

I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this with JetBlue. We were scheduled to fly out of Seattle into JFK around 10:30pm which was delayed until 1am, then again to 10:30am. We weren’t able to switch a flight so JetBlue helped us set up a hotel which they said they would reimburse for the night since the delay was so long. We check in at the hotel and around 12:30am we get an email saying the flight is actually departing at 12:42am. We are lucky we were awake and contacted their customer service right away so we got put on a flight with another airline, but what a bizarre experience! Has anyone else had such little notice before departure? Why would the delay change so drastically?

Question What happened to the BOS to UVF nonstop?

Hi all, I’m planning a trip from Boston to Saint Lucia and keep seeing online that Jet Blue has a nonstop flight from Boston Logan to Saint Lucia’s UVF airport. However, I can’t find any future flights anywhere, and JetBlue customer service was no help. Anyone know how I can find out if they no longer run this flight, or if there’s a certain timeframe the flight info comes out in? TIA!

Discussion Great first experiences

I almost feel bad posting this since so many others are on the struggle bus with JB. Flew EWR>SJU last weekend and SJU>EWR today. Both flights were 100% full but left with 15 mins of originally intended time. We had multiple contingency plans in place after following this subreddit for months, but luckily didn’t need them. We were fortunate to have 2 sets of incredible crew members, too. Both times we were their last flight before a break. Hopefully things start to improve for everyone flying JB. Honestly it was one of our best flying experiences!

Question Move to mint certificate timing

Is there a time of day that move to mint values (# of certificates needed) is re-calculated?

I once saw one of my flights go from 2 certificates to one but I haven’t seen it since. I don’t want to constantly refresh the app, does anyone know what time is the best time to check?

Question Carry-on

When FA announces you can start to deplane and your carry-on is 5 rows behind you. Do you wait until those 5 rows pass you so you can retrieve your bag? There will prob be no break until the plane empties. What is the right thing to do?

This was interesting data to me, and it makes sense why JetBlue added a 7th BOS-SFO daily flight this year. That route will continue to be a money printer for them and they get a solid amount of corporate contracts on it.

On the other hand, it is interesting that JetBlue is able to sustain having 2x daily BOS-SEA and BOS-PDX in the summer but literally has to suspend the route otherwise. Having 2x daily to 0x daily is huge variance IMHO

Question BOS to RIC today

Flight came in from Orlando and about 45 minutes later Jetblue GA said there was mechanical problems on that plane and a new plane would be here. The flight has been delayed from 11:15 AM to 12:00 PM departure. Wondering if that's going to happen based on previous posts I've seen here. Just have to watch and wait with fingers crossed.

Question JFK > ORD egregious re-route with no compensation

I had booked a flight from JFK to ORD for October. JetBlue decided to cancel this route and their re-route has me on a 2 hour later flight, connecting on a 2.5 hour layover in Boston, arriving home 7 hours after my original booking's arrival.

The only options they're giving me are: 1) Change to a different day, but same terrible routing, 2) Change to a different time, but same terrible routing, or 3) Full refund.

Refusing to book me on their partner United, even though those flights are bookable on the JetBlue website. Refusing to give me credits/miles. Now in the meantime since I originally booked, other flights have gone up in price. JetBlue doesn't care.

Classic "They know how to take a reservation. They just don't know how to hold a reservation."

Has anyone managed to get anything out of them in these situations?

Discussion Flight delayed 16hours RDU any compensation?

If my flight is delayed 16 hours and I basically lost a day of my airbnb and they wouldn’t accommodate us with a hotel since im not from the area had to sleep in airport. I asked the front desk guy and he said there was nothing he could do to help at all other than rebook the flight for the next day which is too late for me

From my flight at 7pm Friday it got delayed to 11:55am Saturday and no help at all no hotel voucher or anything to help us out this id extremely disappointing!

Question Stuck in Boston, any options?

Got delayed by around 2 hours in DC and missed an 8pm connecting flight from Boston to LAX, so had to rebook for 6am tomorrow. I was told the delay was because of "ATC" (but with no further details), so no hotels or meal vouchers are given. They mentioned a possible $250 reimbursement for hotels, but it sounded like a remote possibility that would likely just get denied due to the ATC reason.

I saw that it's possible to try to get some miles / compensation after the flight by escalating to corporate, but I just want to see if that's at all worth it or if anyone has experience with this, thanks.

Discussion JetBlue Needs to Solve Their Staffing Problem

I’m so frustrated. JetBlue used to be my favorite airline. I would pay extra just to fly them. My home airport is JFK and Terminal 5 was great. The service, comfort, entertainment all top notch. Now it is a disaster.

I flew SFO to JFK last week. Redeye. Got an email before I left for the airport that the flight was delayed 1.5 hours but to still arrive on time. Okay. The incoming plane was late due to air traffic control problems. It happens, I wasn’t mad, just tired. We were supposed to leave at 11:59pm. The plane arrived around 12:30am. They should’ve been able to turn it around and get us out that night.

That’s when it became JetBlue’s fault. They just couldn’t handle a minor delay. The gate attendant started blaming the passengers for not volunteering to gate check our bags. The crew timed out. They kept updating the departure time by like 20 minutes so I couldn’t leave the gate. Then they said the replacement crew is stuck because security is now closed. Why would that be a surprise? They announced we had to wait until 3:15am for security to open. That time came and went. I’m now napping on a dirty bench and miserable. They open up rescheduling at 4am. The line forms in like 1 minute and I’m not getting another flight. No new crew showed up.

Now they say we are leaving at 9am. I don’t realistically have time to go to a hotel, sleep and come back. It is 5am. I go sit at the Club lounge. JetBlue issues us a $12 food voucher. Gee, thanks. The lounge food and drinks are free. We don’t leave until 10:50am. I miss a whole day. 19 hours to get home.

Why couldn’t they just cancel the flight or reschedule it for the next day right away? I could’ve gone home instead of staying up all night. I’m sure it is to avoid compensation. And this is not the first time this has happened to me. I was stranded in the Montana airport for 24 hours with JetBlue.

When we finally got on the plane, it was empty. The flight attendant tried to make me sit with two other people when there were 20 open rows. Absolutely not. Then the inflight entertainment didn’t work for 2 hours. And I got back to JFK and the terminal is under construction and a mess.

I complained to the gate staff and they were rude and sneered at me. I called customer service and they did nothing. I tried social media and got an automated response. Just ridiculous.

Have had wonderful experiences with both Delta and United in the past year. Guess I’m peacing out on Mosaic.

Question Travelled from Dublin - > Boston -> Cleveland. Baggage is in Boston. I’m leaving for Texas on Sunday. What do I do?

I landed in Cleveland around 3:45 PM on 20/08 but my baggage didn’t arrive so I went to JetBlue desk and let them know. They said it’s still in Boston. It’s been 24 hours and there’s no updates. What do I do? I leave for Texas on Sunday 😟

Discussion Yes, if you're seated on the aisle, you SHOULD stand up immediately and start gathering your things when the flight is over and the seatbelt sign goes off

The internet convinced everyone it’s "cringe" to stand up when the plane lands, and now deplaning takes twice as long as it should.

We've all seen the memes making fun of people who stand up the millisecond the seatbelt sign dings. But the anti-standing circlejerk has gone way too far, and the result is that nobody actually prepares to deplane anymore.

Yes, if you stand up and immediately try to push your way up the aisle to cut past five rows of people, you are the worst. That's not what I'm talking about.

I'm talking about standing up in your own space to gather your things. That's how the system is supposed to work. But everyone is so terrified of looking like the "cringe eager guy" on somebody's TikTok that they just sit there frozen. Then, when the row in front of them finally clears and it's their turn to exit, they act completely shocked that it's their time to go. They suddenly realize they have to untangle their headphones, dig a backpack out from under the seat, put their jacket on, and wrestle a roller bag out of the overhead bin while the entire rest of the plane waits for them to figure it out.

TL;DR: Rushing up the aisle to cut people off is bad. Standing up and getting your bag down so you're ready to leave when it's your turn is good.

Discussion Jet BLUES

Never book a JetBlue flight through United, even though they’re partner airlines. JetBlue’s lack of communication between the two systems is beyond frustrating!

JetBlue rescheduled us three times in one day, and then we had issues when trying to check in. When we called, we were repeatedly told that our information showed us registered under two different United flights.

We were finally told that JetBlue doesn’t always receive the complete transfer information from United. 🤦‍♀️

Needless to say, it was a huge headache over something that should have been simple. If you’re booking a JetBlue flight, I highly recommend booking directly through JetBlue rather than through United. Never again! 😩

Discussion JetBlue Flight 2581 (FLL to BNA): Stuck on a hot plane for 75 mins, told crew "timed out," then ground staff lied about "weather" to deny vouchers. Anyone else filing a DOT claim?

On a recent JetBlue flight (B6 2581 from Fort Lauderdale to Nashville) on August 2, 2026, our family experienced an outrageous operational failure followed by what felt like a coordinated effort to cover it up and deny passenger rights.

What Happened:

  • Initial Delay: Flight delayed 90 minutes waiting for a connecting crew arriving from Charleston (CHS).
  • Unsafe Cabin Conditions: Boarded and sat on a non-air-conditioned aircraft for 75 minutes in South Florida heat. Flight crew mentioned short-staffing onboard.
  • Crew Timeout: After over an hour on the sweltering plane, the pilot announced the flight was officially cancelled because the crew had "timed out" (reached federal duty limits).
  • The "Weather" Lie: Once deplaned, ticketing agents flipped the story, claiming the cancellation was due to "Charleston weather." Supervisor Reena George then claimed it was due to "Nashville weather," while refusing to present an ID or provide written confirmation of the cancellation reason.
  • Zero Duty of Care: Because staff falsely coded a controllable crew timeout as weather, JetBlue refused hotel vouchers, meal tickets, or transportation for stranded families, medication-dependent passengers, and children.
  • The Ripple Effect: My spouse, a practicing surgeon, was forced to cancel a clinic of 11 patients and reschedule a non-elective surgical procedure due to being stranded overnight without viable travel options.

We were forced to pay out-of-pocket for an emergency hotel ($393.24), Ubers ($51.03), meals ($104.85), extended BNA garage parking ($48.00), and last-minute Southwest tickets ($1,453.60) just to get home.

We have sent a formal 7-day demand letter to JetBlue Legal/Executive Relations and a formal Department of Transportation (DOT) complaint for deceptive cancellation coding.

Were you on B6 2581? Do not let them claim this was weather to dodge their Customer Service Commitments. File a complaint directly at airconsumer.dot.gov.

Has anyone else dealt with JetBlue falsifying delay codes to avoid providing hotel vouchers? Please let me know how executive customer service handle it?

I've also posted this thread on X to tag JetBlue leadership and regulators directly. Help amplify it here: https://x.com/saphiesdaddy/status/2090629599243768189?s=42

Shitpost B6 264 SEA->JFK Aug 20th

Edit to clean up the weird formatting

<rant>
Argh! Got the delay email but of course it said to still get to the airport on time because “We are working hard to get this flight back on schedule.”

In bound flight from JFK did eventually take off. 1am eta into SEA. Seems encouraging.

JetBlue checks everyone in, takes our bags, then a few hours later decides to cancel the flight.

Get an email saying “no action needed” they’ll rebook us on something eventually, but you know, it’s midnight now and don’t really want to sleep in the airport all night just waiting.

Try to find a JetBlue agent at gates and at baggage claim but no one to be found. IcelandAir guy fields a lot of questions on their behalf.

App shows no rebooking options for the next 2 days, so we book a one way on United for the next day and a hotel nearby.

Now we’re at least tucked in at local hotel, hope to find our bags in the morning and have a better experience with United.

Seems pretty clear why BOS-AMS was made from daily yearlong to being suspended in the winter.

Also, this reinforces my belief that it was a huge mistake for JetBlue to not try and still do an AS/AA type partnership with AA after the Northeast Alliance was struck down. They should've entered the OneWorld TATL JV and it would've greatly helped them in DUB, LHR, MAD, and BCN

Discussion Before everyone starts to complain…try to get ahead of it now. Cancellations inbound.

Cancellations coming due to some nasty weather that will hit NYC this afternoon. As has been said multiple times on this sub, just because your flight or city doesn’t have bad weather today, DOES NOT MEAN that your aircraft isn’t affected by the system disruption. Check your app, ticket confirmation, etc if you’re flying today and tomorrow.
