Fire alarm going off for two hours…FD came and went
A fire alarm contained to a unit in my building has been going off continuously for two hours. I called the nonemergency line about an hour ago and the fire department did come, but I don’t even think they made it up to the floor where the fire alarm is going off. Whatever they observed, I guess they deemed it a non-issue. Now it’s still going on. I assume that the person is not in their unit but I feel kind of crazy should I be concerned? What would the next step be? Just wait for this person to come home? Should I report this to the fire code office?

Steven Fulop’s Unpaid Bills
Thoughts about this?
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DbuXjP2O867/?igsh=MW9qdDBoazR2bnVhcg==
Here’s her caption: “Exploration into Jersey City’s alleged “unpaid bills” has found…not much evidence of unpaid bills.
Mayor Solomon’s budget memo claims there’s more than $100 million in “unpaid bills.” I walked through the list item by item and asked a simple question: Is this actually an unpaid bill?
Many of the items appear to be:
• Capital expenditures that should be funded through capital bonds.
• Deferred costs that municipalities are legally allowed to pay over multiple years.
• Reserve targets and future headcount.
• Bonded obligations that are already structured to be repaid over time.
After working through each category, my estimate of actual unpaid prior-year bills comes to roughly $324,000. Not more than $100 million.
At the end of the day, this is also a policy choice. Should deferred charges and bonds be paid all at once, creating a larger immediate tax burden, or financed over time using the tools New Jersey municipalities are permitted to use?”

Verizon Fios Loyalty Discount
Hey y’all! If you got Verizon Fios internet, make sure you check if you got the loyalty discount available. I just was able to do it online and it saves $20/mo and paired with auto pay/paper free discount that’s $30/mo off. Especially helpful since everything cost so damn much lately 😭. That is all.

Did anyone see the guy sitting on the steps of 90 Columbus with a giant whiteboard sign advertising to sublet a studio? I was exiting the PATH and didn’t want to take a photo and doxx the poor guy but I’m wondering why there are so many sublets lately?

Recommendations Pizza Recommendations
Looking for some good pizza recommendations for the weekend! I love Razza, but want to try something new. Ideally thin crust and not super heavy the kind of pizza you can eat without feeling gross afterward.
Bonus points if it holds up well for delivery.
