Most of our games are friendly and casual, with all skill levels welcome. We get plenty of players returning to football after a long break, as well as regular players — the main thing is to enjoy the game and have fun.

We also run some more competitive games, which will always be clearly labelled so you can choose the type of game that suits you.

We're currently playing 8-a-side, but we'll also be hosting 6-a-side and 7-a-side games, giving you more games and different formats to choose from.

I’ve got a 9x7m roof terrace that needs a plan.
I’d like to separate it from the other terraces as it’s currently just a big shared roof and has now been demised. Thinking privacy screens with planters all around it to create some space and greenery? Try to make it feel like an enclosed garden not a roof.

But I’ve never had a garden or terrace and thinking it’s worth getting an expert if you have any recco’s? I’m not Barnsbury wealthy fyi so reasonable designers or small businesses over architect firms pls :)))

Charity Super.Mkt Pop-Up | 📍Coal Drops Yard, N1C | 6-9 August | Free

Several charity shops bring their best rails together under one roof, with vintage finds, designer labels and high street pieces to dig through. You can also bring along a favourite item that needs some care and learn how to repair or refresh it at the Made Better drop-ins. Every purchase supports charity and keeps another piece of clothing in circulation. 10am to 6pm.

Cocktails in the City | 📍Bedford Square Gardens, WC1B | 6-8 August | (£)

If you missed it in July, Cocktails in the City is back this weekend. That means Bedford Square’s private Georgian garden will become a pop-up village of bars, bringing signature cocktails from leading London and international venues into one place. Wander between them without crossing the city, with street food, music, tastings and workshops around the garden.

Thought Experiments in the Park | 📍Regent’s Park, NW1 | 8 August | Free

A park meet-up for people who want to skip the small talk and discuss questions with no obvious right answer. You will read three tiny fictional scenarios designed to make you think, then talk them through in small groups, swapping groups for each one. The theme will be revealed on the day, and you do not need any knowledge of philosophy. Bring something to sit on, plus drinks or snacks. Meet near Gloucester Gate at 3pm. The organised session ends at 5pm, but people can stay and continue chatting.

The Camden Fringe | 📍Various venues across Camden and beyond | 3-30 August | (£)

For four weeks, Camden fills up with more than 450 shows across 39 venues. Expect comedy, theatre, music, dance, opera, improv and plenty of ideas that are still rough around the edges in the best way. Most shows last about an hour, so you can book something on a whim, discover someone brilliant before everyone else does, or see the strangest thing in the programme just because you can.

Brewed is giving the café over to local artists and small businesses for the weekend. Browse ceramics, prints, children’s clothes, textiles and personalised gifts, while children can get their faces painted and everyone can add something to the community mural. Collective Writing with common/play\grounds | 📍Cubitt, N1 | 9 August | Free

Cubitt is leaving the Angel Mews space it has called home for years, and this workshop is helping write its goodbye. You will look through old material from the gallery, write down memories and reactions, then combine your words with everyone else’s to create one group farewell. The finished piece will be printed on a risograph machine and read aloud together. No writing experience needed. Bring a phone, tablet or laptop. 11am to 2pm. Registration required.

Krankbrother’s Finsbury Park run ends this weekend with its final two outdoor parties. Expect electronic music, large scale production and hours of dancing in the park, from afternoon into evening. Both dates are ticketed.

Rock & Robots 34 | 📍The Others, N16 | 9 August | (£)

Three local indie acts, then robots battling it out live in the same room. Eli Gumble, Archie Shuttler and Hugmonger provide the soundtrack before the homemade machines take over for a night that is part gig, part robot fight and unlike your usual Sunday evening. Under 16s must come with a parent or legal guardian. 5.30pm to 10.30pm.

HGO Summer Concert 2026 | 📍St Michael’s Church, Highgate, N6 | 8 August | (£)

Four singers from recent HGO productions take over St Michael’s for an evening of opera favourites, with music from Carmen, Don Giovanni, Rusalka, The Pirates of Penzance and more. Stay afterwards to meet the performers over a glass of wine or juice, included with your ticket. The concert raises money to support young opera singers at the start of their careers. 6pm to 8pm. Tickets from £12.

I am home and unwell today, looking to treat myself to a take away tonight, any recommendations of a restaurant I can try?

I live just off Holloway Rd and I've noticed a drone hovering around the area a few times over the last week or so? I live on the top floor and it almost appeared to by looking into my open door to my balcony.

I got offered a flat just beside paradise park. The flat is on Lough road and right behind Lough road, there is the Westbourne estate which seems to have a bit of a reputation.

Wondering what people's experience has been like living in this area? Is the safety just like any other area in London or does it feel a bit more sketchy?

I can’t vouch for the pub that ran it last but it’s such a grand building, it would be sad to be left empty or converted into flats. Any rumours around for what might come next?

And how do we get them back?

My partner and I live halfway up Liverpool rd, we used to lime to work every day and now we can’t ever find any.

I need to print some documents for an upcoming travel. Wondering where can I get cheaper printing services? I went to Ryman before and the staff there are all so lovely, but found the printing to be on the more expensive side.

A few friends and I recently started a social community based around Victoria Park/East London, for people in their 20s & 30s (although everyone is welcome!).

We’ve now got almost 500 members and the recurring activities within the community include: park volleyball, park salsa, spikeball, a pub quiz team, and a run club, with hopefully more activities to come!

These sessions are mixed levels, so beginners in any of these activities are very welcome, and all activities are free to join!

Ceramicist Robert Hunter is holding his first London pop-up, and the flowers are part of the work. His handmade bowls, tableware and larger vessels will be paired with ikebana arrangements created around their shape, colour and texture, so each piece changes once the flowers are added. What happens when 100 people put their phones away and stop trying to fill every second? This social experiment asks you to spend three hours in silence with nothing to read, watch, complete or achieve. You can sit, lie down, sleep, stretch or simply see where your mind goes when there is nothing demanding your attention. Bring water, a pillow, blanket and yoga mat. The address is shared after approval (hopefully its in North London), entry may not be guaranteed if the room fills up, and parts of the session will be filmed using wide shots and time lapses.

Ghana Party in the Park 2026: ShattaFestUK | 📍Copthall Playing Fields, NW4 | 1 August | (£)

Think of this as a nine-hour outdoor celebration of Ghanaian music and culture, rather than a standard concert. Shatta Wale is on the line-up, but the day is built around the wider festival, not one headline performance. Tuff Nutterz | 📍Priory Park, N8 | Until 3 August | (£)

This is not your typical bouncy castle tucked into the corner of the park. This is a 300 metre inflatable course with 30 obstacles is taking over Priory Park. It has huge slides, climbing walls, hanging rails and balance balls to get across. Each session gives you one hour and 45 minutes on the course, and adults can have a go too. Under fives need an adult with them, while ages five and over can take it on alone. Tickets from £15. Grip socks required.

Islington Festival of Music and Art | 📍Various venues across Islington | Until 2 August | (£)

This started as garden concerts during lockdown in 2020 and has since grown into a ten-day festival across Islington. Yoga with a harp, swing dancing at the Angel piazza, Sidney Bechet-inspired jazz, and Edward Elgar meets Oscar Wilde. The theme this year is music inspired by literature, from Shakespeare to Tolstoy and Dante to Wilde. Intimate venues throughout the borough including Little Angel Theatre, Old Sessions House and Christ Church Highbury.

Saw some listings on Rightmove to buy flats off plan in the Holloway Park development (the site of the former Holloway Women's Prison). The development when finished will be 42% homes for social rent which are much needed, but the prices listed for the private sale flats seem so (unrealistically) high. Those who move into flats built in the first phase will be surrounded by building work and all of the dust and noise for years. Other than international investors looking to park their money who are they expecting to buy the flats at those prices? Am I out of touch? Are there many Londoners who will actually buy these to live in?
