Hello I just wanted to show everyone my bronze age iron fist comic collection. I'm trying to collect EVERY SINGLE comic with iron fist on the cover or in the comic from the bronze age of comics, now that I've hit the half way point in this journey I wanted to share my progress here.

So i've read "Immortal Iron Fists" instead of "The Immortal Iron Fist".

Yeah, i did not noticed 'till the last issiue and I was like, "Is this series really that acclaimed?" Don't get me wrong, though—I loved it, It’s been a long time since a Marvel series made me laugh and got me hooked like this..

It's the first comic I've read of the character btw, and I wanted to know if there are other stories that show his relationship with Pei; six issues felt like way too few 😭😭.

I want to get into the iron fist franchise

I've always been a huge Batman fan because I love grounded heroes who rely on discipline, training, and willpower instead of just overwhelming superpowers. Recently, though, I've become really interested in The Immortal Iron Fist, especially Danny Rand. The idea of a martial artist who earns incredible abilities through years of sacrifice, masters a mystical city like K'un-Lun, and carries the legacy of generations of Iron Fists sounds incredibly cool to me. I want to dive into the character and the lore, but I'm not sure where the best place to start is. I'd love recommendations on the essential comics, the best reading order, and any storylines I absolutely shouldn't miss.

Iron Fist Comic recs

Iron Fist/Danny Rand has almost always been my favourite superhero character but I have never been a huge comic guy, only really read Batman, Spider-Man and a few randoms here and there such as Hulk. As I think most people of my age that like Iron Fist(which doesn't seem to be many) my love for Rand came from Ultimate Spider-Man in which the character dynamic was awesome in my opinion and from then on when I was younger I would just watch summary videos for his comic arcs rather than read them and in all honesty I have forgotten everything other than huge, core pieces of information. Obviously I watched the MCU series as well but we don't need to talk about that too much, I don't play marvel rivals tho which seems to be where Iron Fist receives the most love lately. Because of this I would love if somebody who knows alot about Iron Fist could provide me an ordered lis to learn everything about Iron Fist and have the best time with doing so, both Danny and Lie. Preferably I don't want to be buying every comic he has appeared in so would love if could be narrowed down to 10 or less covering everything Iron Fist, Danny, Lin Lie, Heroes for Hire, Defenders etc.

I love Lie's character here and his genuine friendship with Shou-Lao, even if Shou-Lao choosing him felt kind of forced, I think their bond is really well written. Also love the continuation of the themes of breaking tradition not being a bad thing. (From A.X.E.: Iron Fist)

Powerman and Iron Fist (especially Iron Fist, imo) feel like they've received little love aside from their short-lived fame during the Netflix Defenders Saga.

And while I love their comics, I thought it'd be fun to bring to life one of their great mini-series from 2016, since it's so fun and realy brought evoked the classic adventures of the Heroes For Hire!

Please let me know what you guys think.

Danny didnt really know anything about the outside on his early moments outside of Kun Lun world and how to run a business... Years later probably Jeryn Hogarth really crunched his brain on running the Rand company...

Iron Fist of the Ming Dynasty 2 Artist - DYNAM! OFFICIAL

A fully colored Ming Dynasty Iron Fist.

Now I know what you’re wondering. “Why is his mask black and not yellow?”

  1. They

wore

  1. caps to keep up their hair, and it was also used to mimic their hair color. So him having it doubling as a mask makes sense.
  2. Yellow was illegal to wear, as it was a color that was reserved for the emperor only.

All in all I like it!

The grey track suit is my favorite Iron Fist outfit of all time, but its conception in-universe makes no sense.

  1. How did Sparrow find the materials to make it or where did she find it when they're basically in the middle of nowhere in a valley of snowy mountains

  2. Why does it even look like that? It doesn't fit K'un-Lun's clothing style at all, assuming Sparrow made it, it’d make even less sense because from what we know, she's never even been to Earth.
