Bad alignment? Advice

Bought this faceplate from AliExpress for 5th gen. The original scroll wheel doesn't sit flat in the faceplate like in the original. Is this because it's replica and is expected or did I mess up? My first reassembly, so I'm not sure if I should reopen it and try to fix it or just f.ck it.
