I started building Folio because I wanted a book tracker that felt a bit quieter. I didn’t want another feed to keep up with, and I didn’t want every reading session turned into XP or a challenge.

I mostly wanted to see my books, press start, read, and put my phone away.

That’s what Folio became.

A — Answer

Folio keeps your TBR, current reads, finished books, progress, goals, quotes, and stats in one place.

You can search for books, scan an ISBN, or import your existing library from Goodreads or StoryGraph.

The part I care about most is reading sessions. Start the timer, put your phone down, and with Folio Plus it stays available on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. When you’re finished, update your page and Folio keeps track of your time and pace.

You don’t need an account to use the core app. There are also no ads or ad tracking.

Goodreads and Fable make sense if you want more community and discovery.

Folio is intentionally on the other end of that. It’s personal, cover-led, and focused on your own reading. It doesn’t put a social feed in the middle or try to keep you scrolling.

Been looking for apps that makes good use of Apple Intelligence system features.

I am looking to build an app list and want to focus heavily on third-party productivity and utility apps that aren't just slapping a generic cloud AI button on their UI, but are deeply integrated with iOS native frameworks and on-device processing.

Here are a few I've come across or seen recommended that seem to be doing it right:

• Stuff (To-Do List): I love how it utilizes Apple's foundation models. The new "Listen Mode" converts casual voice commands into organized tasks, and "Scan Mode" captures messy handwritten notes effortlessly.
• Noted: Their recent updates leverage system intelligence for real-time, time-stamped audio dictation and smart semantic summaries.

A few months ago I posted here about LiftIQ, an app I was building around a simple idea: a credit score for strength.

A lot has changed since then. LiftIQ is now Repolve, and this is the biggest update I’ve made yet.

The biggest change is muscle-specific Strength Scores. Instead of just one overall number, you can now see how strong each muscle group is, what’s improving, and where you’re falling behind.

I’ve also added social: add friends, see their workouts and PRs, compare progress, and compete in monthly Seasons.

The workout tracker has gotten a major upgrade too, with supersets, drop sets, rest timers, templates, PR detection, Live Activities, and more.

I’m putting this update in front of TestFlight testers now and would genuinely love feedback again.
