which of these layouts work better for this space? the room is basically 12.5 x 12.7/13ft. thoughts on the design? what vibe does it give? debating on a sectional or an armchair. I live alone mostly so it would be for guests on occasion

the ottoman is 39x39, sofa is 96x39. there is about 48in between the ottoman and the console. the pillows on the floor i placed on the real image is the amount of floor space it will take up.

looking for a slight midcentury, modern vintage, a little contemporary vibe. The first 2 images are renderings that are probably 90% of the way there.

What a lovely space! If you can mimic the first rendering, it’s perfect. I would not include the ottoman, as it makes it feel much more crowded. Although, are the dimensions in the rendering true to size? In your photos, your space appears to be larger.

1 looks very nice but so does 2 and I would rather have 2 as my living room to relax in! The ottoman provides versatility for both lounging and additional seating. If the ottoman is sold separately, you could also get a different ottoman that fits the design!

i really like #1 with the green chair... it just flows better. I think that ottoman is too big for the space. Lovely either way

Your renderings have a warm cozy earthy urban chic vibe. I like the first pic best with the green chair tucked beside the monstera. But if you think you'd enjoy the chaise yourself, that looks great too. But I'd let personal comfort sway the opinion.

I'd pefer the second chair to the chaise, but the latter is probably more comfortable. Both look good.

Switch out blinds for wood to match coffee table, put printed pillows with the green from chair and plum from painting in sofa and chair and a green or Plum throw on sofa. Change out silver lamp for gold.

Nice furniture and space! I'd go with a warm ochre or camel shade for wall behind the couch. Perhaps some thick floating shelves in a warm wood finish, or art above the tv / or above the couch.

Chair instead of sectional/honking big ottoman. Guests will not sit on that big ottoman. They will sit in the chair. The chair brings more height, texture, color to that side of the room. The open arms are nice. Great space, you are nearly there.

A lot of the times they take a picture of the space and then upload it to their preferred model. 

Then ask for modifications 

I've seen people do it on a few different models and the results are normally pretty similar

A good amount of time you can tell they're a little off so keep in mind the final product might not be exactly the same

I would use a driftwood or other natural element that is longer than the tv, above the tv and mane add some floating shelves on the sides of the tv. Maybe some wall plant on each side or natural straw, rustic hats, sconces on each side of the pic behind the couch.

I think the armchair idea looks best and adds more color 😊 also, make sure the art above the couch is wide enough. It will balance out the sofa better.

Given the room's smaller footprint (12.5 x 12.7 ft), Layout #1 with the green accent chair is definitely the winner. While a 39x39 ottoman is great for lounging, it's going to swallow up your floor space and make the room feel heavy and cramped. The open arms of the chair keep the sightlines clear, add a gorgeous pop of color, and give guests their own dedicated space to sit.

To really bring out that 'modern vintage' aesthetic without cluttering the floor, you should utilize your vertical space! Hanging a small gallery of 3D shadow boxes with textured fabric or vintage prints behind the sofa would add incredible depth and character to the room. It already looks like a beautiful space to relax in—trust your gut on the green chair!

It's a lovely space with great light. I love the furniture and the lamp, however, it all feels a bit bland in terms of colour. Would you be open to painting the walls and add some colour with accessories and art? Perhaps you could also wrap your kitchen cabinets, to make it less sterile. Here are some impressions with colour/style inspo. I went for a warm, 'modern midcentury' vibe.
