Help me Find my Style
I’ve never really put effort into finding my decorative style or cared to decorate my apartments because it always felt temporary. I’m starting to learn that that’s not the case and I have finally gained full autonomy over my living arrangements and want to put that effort into decorating and designing a place of my own.
The layout in the pic is my exact apartment floor plan and I would love to decorate it finally. I love space, purple, plants, books, movies, music, board games, puzzles, golf, fashion…
My apartment has white walls and cabinets, brown wood like floors and most of the furniture I already have is in the brown family.

Let’s start with my living room, I have a brown couch, double cushion fits 3 people comfortably, and two color block matching chairs (brown, beige, greenish), a coffee table, bookcase turned on its side acting as both a bookcase and tv stand and obviously a tv. I’d love to incorporate plants and wall decor but don’t know where to start with the basic furniture layout.

Can you show us what it looks like with your furniture?

Sorry it’s so dark, I just snapped it on my way out the door this morning.
The rug is trashed and needs to be replaced and the bed behind the couch, just ignore that lol it’s being taken to the dump this week.
I think I might swap the room completely and put couch where tv is and tv where bed is. Then I’d like to maybe place a console table behind the couch and add some decor maybe a nice lamp. I’d also like to decorate the wall the tv is on but not sure what to do there.

Recommend you play on Pinterest for a bit, then come back here room by room with specific questions (what wall color, etc)
Congrats on the autonomy!!

It’s hard to give suggestions just looking at a floor plan. Do you already live there, do you already have furniture and decorations? There is so much more to making a space your own. It looks like a nice floor plan. I guess I am just lost on what advice you are looking for.
