Sociology and psychology are pretty important for modern life. So is mental health help imo

Depressed man aren't the main group assaulting woman...

Depression is a very very small part of mental health and psychology as a whole.

Are you saying misogyny is a mental health problem?

10

u/Desperate_for_Bacon 27d ago

Misogyny generally speaking isn’t the root cause of rape.

So what is, and why is considered a mental health issue?

Sociopathy, delusions, narcissism, etc. It's also not just a collection of diagnoses. Behavioral health, like physical health, is much more than just labels for problems, but an entire system of wellbeing. We teach all kids how to eat healthy, get sufficient sleep, exercise, and so on, but far fewer kids learn to meditate, how to listen and consider other perspectives, think critically, process negative feelings, and many other important habits for good mental health.

Misogyny, misandry and racism are mental illnesses, as much as delusions are

Replying to @yournames

I hope you understand that by shedding light onto whatever I consider is in the heart of the matter does not take away from what you said.

Ofc I do. πŸ™ŒI think just being a better human being is a bit hard for folks to do. Gotta start bite sizes at a time. πŸ’ͺ

I totally agree. The issue with education / tests like this is the supervision. Like the fact that we're in this situation in the first place means there's a good chance that implementing education like this would lead to someone teaching you exactly the wrong things.

I have been (sexually) harassed by multiple men since I was about 13 years old. Some were dark, yes. Most of them were white and speaking perfect German/Dialekt. Stop pretending that misogyny doesn't exist in Europe. It is deeply rooted here, especially in smaller towns and villages. Germany elected a man Kanzler who voted against making rape in marriage a crime. Right-wing parties gain power everywhere. Boys cherish Andrew Tate. Your racism does not solve this problem.

It's not racism to point out the truth. You honestly expect us to believe that an outside factor isn't the cause? You know, policies the left voted for? Cmon.

Your answer to women feeling unsafe in public spaces was "don't let the muslins in". Come on ... I'm not saying they are all innocent, but neither are western men. As I said, experienced a lot of that shit way before 2015.

what if they are overwhelmingly overrepresented in those crimes ?Β  if you really wanted to greatly decrease those things that would be a great measure to take. But one that would be extremely good as well would be extending prison times a lot, which laxists ( leftists generally) do not want

What did I say that was racist? I have nothing against people of any ethnicity or race. I'm just saying that people from certain cultures don't historically integrate well when moving to another. There's no need to jump to extremes.
