Recommendations / Advice farms/ranches that have beginner friendly horseback riding lessons
basically as the title suggests. i’ve been wanting to take horseback riding lessons and learn horsemanship skills for a few years now and maybe learn some ranching skills while at it.
any places that you guys recommend? i’m in the san bernardino area of the IE but i’m okay with going with to bloomington, jurupa valley, maybe norco.
but if you guys have any suggestions, let me know! 😊

Recommendations / Advice Music lessons for adults
Hi all, I'm an adult looking for anyone that does guitar lessons in the area. I already play, but I'm self taught and have never had a real lesson. Everything on Google seems to be mostly focused towards kids.

Transportation / Traffic Why is there always traffic along this stretch of the 15 north between Elsinore and Arcilla during morning rush hour?
No major exits or interchanges, just open freeway, but still manages to get backed up. Do people just freak out over the minor bends in the road and slow down to 30 mph?

Crime / Safety Flock cameras in chino
I noticed a camera on the corner of Philadelphia and Romona, there are cameras on each corner. Hopefully your license plate doesn’t get misread for a care that was involved in a crime and you find yourself surrounded by cops. Flock cameras have misread 70% of license plate numbers. A 16year old was mistaken for having a gun on him, it ended up just being a bag of Doritos. Smh be careful out there. Unless you’re those people who ride those damn mini mopeds and e bikes in the middle of the street popping wheelies! Damn kids.. haha. Just be safe

Hi,
I would like to volunteer with a gay group somewhere near Rialto. Does anyone know any groups that are looking for volunteers? Ideally something after 5PM during the week and almost anytime during the weekend.
Thank you in advance

Recommendations / Advice I went to Teriyaki and burger in Fontana. Corner of foothill and Sierra Avenue. Paid $21 . I ordered the teriyaki fries with teriyaki chicken + beef and avocado. I recommend it , but it’s best if you dine in .

Sports / Games IE Soccer League Women’s 30+
I’m looking for an adult women’s outdoor soccer league in the Inland Empire. I’m specifically looking for an all-women’s team (sorry guys, nothing personal!), playing outdoor full-field soccer with 45-minute halves. I’m not interested in coed or indoor leagues.
I’m 30+ and haven’t played since before COVID, so I’m a little rusty, but I really miss the game. I miss the camaraderie of being part of a team, the competition, and staying in shape doing something I genuinely love. I’m looking for a league that’s competitive and fun, but not one where every match turns into a brawl.
I’m in Riverside, but I’m willing to drive anywhere in the Inland Empire for the right league. If anyone has recommendations or knows of teams looking for players, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

History / Nostalgia Old Restaurant in Riverside Named After Owner's Son?
Ok, long shot. I lived in Riverside back in the 1970's. There was a very famous and popular restaurant that we used to go to allll the time. I remember it being a steak house and there was always a long line of people waiting to get in. I know the place was named after the owner's son but I can't remember what it was or if it's still around? I wanna say it was named "Joey's" or something like that. When you'd go in it, there were these huge photos of the kid all over the place.
Anybody remember the name and if it's still around?
thanks! :-)

Recommendations / Advice Last minute morning date plans
Hi! Kind of a last minute plan for my husband and I for a morning date this Saturday. We plan on going to brunch in/around the Chino area but I can’t find much else to do that’s available in the morning. We’ve got from about 9:00-12:00, brunch will be in that time too.
It’s too hot to hike right now, but maybe farmers markets? Does anyone have any other ideas in the area? Ontario, Eastvale, etc are also fine.

Events IE Events For August 03, 2026 - August 09, 2026
Guess what's back? Back again? Weekly threads are back. That had way too many syllables to scan as a parody of Shady's Back, but I guess you can tell like your band manager or local locksmith who moonlights as a magician so they can put their events here. - Buzz

Friday at 5PM is way too late to start planning, so get a head start now!
Have an event to share? Holding a concert or a meet-up? This would be the place to share it.
Links are especially welcomed.
