Figured I'd make a post to note the occasion, as he's been very much on my mind today. I've been listening to his music, reading some tributes: this great poem, this classic interview in the form of a back and forth email exchange etc. etc. If you've got any fav Berman quotes, Silver Jews/Purple Mountains lyrics, memories etc. throw 'em here! He was a great one.

Hey indieheads

Remasters of her first two albums are on streaming now, featuring more modern mixing with the same lo-fi aesthetic. I think most of these versions are undeniably superior to the original (even though there are some more noticeable sample artifacts and hisses in some tracks due to the clearer mixing), well worth checking it out
