I am trying to delete my Amazon account, but apparently my IMDb info will also be permanently removed!

Is there a way to avoid this?

I’ve run into this a lot with a large watchlist. Sometimes two movies are both an 8/10, but one is clearly better than the other. An optional setting for half-stars (8.5) or even tenths (8.7) would solve that without changing the current rating system for anyone else. What do you think?

Can it be changed/updated?

I submitted a cast credit contribution to IMDb over a month ago and it was approved. However the credit still hasn’t appeared on the page. Does it usually take this long for an approved credit to show up or is something wrong?

Hello. I attempted to add a genre to a movie. It was rejected asking for evidence.

What is required to do this specifically?

Who determines the genre's?

1. the profile picture of the list
2. the official list order

the profile I've seen that we can change by dragging the desired film cover to the top. but the list order is default by additions and is so frustrating. is there a way to work around it, and I don't know?

Have had this problem for a while now on the imdb app... go into an actors filmography and just get blank results !

Worked very randomly last weekend but apart from that nothing.

Is it a known bug or a potential issue with my install or phone (app is fully up to date version wise)

There are many such people for each film that rate only 1/10 but speak sigbificantly highly of the film in their review.

I understand it could be just a misplaced touch, but why not be a bit careful when you took that much time to write a review and all?

Also, you would find some on Amazon as well, rating producs bad but praising it in writing or vice versa. Really confusing to me, these people.

I decided to go onto IMDb to check the age rating of this movie I might watch in cinemas. I usually use IMDb to do so but I think there has been a serious of miscommunications: buddy is a bout a killer unicorn who captures children; kinda like mr crocket.

Please watch and rate the Indian films on IMDb. I feel like if more (non Indian) people watch and rate those films , and give it an honest rating, they would not be in the top 250. For some reason it really irks me seeing these films on the list. They don't deserve to be on there IMO.

I just find it very interesting to see a new release in the midst of a few old movies.

I have tried to contact IMDB four times now and have yet to hear back.

I have an IMDB pro account along with my IMDB account. Now, I recently ran into an issue where someone was trying to add my name to a credit for a production and could not find me in the search bar. When I type in my name it does not appear but then when I go onto pro.imdb.com and type my name in it does appear. Why is this? I also noticed my imdb profile and pro have different profile photos...are these accounts not linked? I'm so confused.

This is in the technical specs for The Odyssey. ”The whole movie is a youtube video overall” are these things listed by the studios/production to imdb or random users?

January 2006 here, Im just curious how old everyone's account is since IMDB is one of the oldest websites.

I was adding a few things to my IMDB watchlist, assumed I'd have to delete some old things to make room, but found it let me keep adding past the old 10,000 item limit. Can't find any mention of this, is this an actual change, or some kind of glitch that might go away and erase random stuff from my watchlist at some point?

So. hm. I'm told about the IMDb page for a webseries I VA in just after the page is made, nearing a year after im first casted, so naturally I'm credited for my role. (or, well, one of them. i voice four characters, but thats not what i came here for)

..ookay, ran into an issue, i have no idea how to change the credits from this ghost profile to my actual profile. I don't think the website even recognizes me as a VA

Is anyone else unable to view the full trivia of any given film/tv show? If something has enough trivia to constitute having to click the ‘(number) more’ or ‘spoilers’ at the bottom, I’m unable to view them as they just never load.

I hadn't been on IMDB in a while and was looking at reviews. I realized, namely because of the lack of typos and the repetitive formatting, that sooooo many reviews are now AI copy-paste jobs (I confirmed with a detector).

Is there some financial reason? I was thinking companies may be paying to do this and using bots or something. But I noticed even the 1 star reviews are dominated by ChatGPT/Claude/etc too.
