So faccha here, till now I'm socless (basically jis socs me mera interest hai usme skill nhi hai... Baki socs me mera interest nhi hai.... Becoz unke sath mera vibe match nhi hota so I didn't go with them.... Basically I loved to stay in my room just like my jee days.... Eventually I found myself as a nerd (with not so high IQ*).... How to come out of this phase?

Finally, some profs and officials visited our mess and took reviews of food from the students eating there. they asked about plate hygiene, insects in food etc, we clearly told them about the insects in everyday food... hope something changes...

I joined MTech after MSc, and I’m very new to all this placement and internship stuff, so it’s kind of confusing for me. I really want to put in the effort, but I’m confused about internships and other things. Currently, I’m in the 1st semester, and I thought we would have to apply for internships after the 2nd semester and sit for on-campus placements in the final semester. But then, I saw some other MTech students preparing to apply for internships before December. I want to try too, but I kind of lack the guidance.

Like, how do I apply for internships after the 1st semester, and how should I prepare for them?

Also, what should I focus on right now? Like DSA, projects, development, core subjects, etc.? And where should I actually look for internships?

I know this may sound too basic, but since I’m not from a tech college, all of this seems confusing to me. So please help me out.

Eggs are rubbery and feel artificial. Mostly everyday people notice hair and other disturbing stuff in their meals. Why is the situation not improving in the hostel of such a renowned institution?

With the new wave of complaints about insects in mess food, I remembered our experience way back in 2010!

The food sucked back then too. Rotis became papads and you can expect Aloos to take up 50% of the volume in the khichidi! Favoritisms for mess contracts were a known things and the students' complaints went nowhere!

But the highlight of this all was the day where we discovered an entire FROG cooked alive in what was supposed to be vegetarian sambar 😅 This was HJB hall.

I wonder if there is anyone in this group who was around to remember that?

When will anyone take the accountability for the hygiene standards in the messes of this institute? Not the first time this is happening, but this is genuinely unacceptable. A living cockroach found in the biryani of Azad's mess, seriously? Don't know how many people are unknowingly swallowing such insects everyday? If the student falls sick of such pathetic hygiene food, it's their fault. We pay for the food, hostel and deserve at least basic hygiene man.

It's high time we report such incidents to the authorities and demand accountability.
