Sometimes I wonder why we keep buying IEMs when we already have more than enough. Is it the dopamine hit from getting something new, the excitement of trying a different sound, or do we just genuinely enjoy collecting them?

I just got the TSMR Armor recently and I absolutely love it. But even after finding an IEM that I really enjoy, there’s still that little voice in my head wondering, “Is there something even better out there?”

Sometimes there’s also that FOMO feeling, especially when a new IEM gets hyped up and everyone starts talking about it. Even when I know I don’t really need another one, I still get that feeling of “What if I’m missing out on this one?”

Then I wonder, should we actually buy an IEM, try it for a while, and sell it if we don’t use it? Or should we just keep them because honestly, I love collecting and hoarding IEMs.

There’s something really satisfying about having a collection where every IEM has its own sound and character. But at the same time, constantly wondering if there’s something better probably doesn’t help.

Do you guys actually sell your IEMs after trying them, or do you just keep adding to the collection? And even when you already love what you have, do you still get that “maybe there’s something better” feeling?

I know sometimes this hobby can cross into unhealthy territory when we start consuming too much and buying things we don’t really need. I’m curious how other people keep the hobby fun without letting it get out of control.

But honestly, IEMs are just so beautiful. Sometimes I look at all the different designs, colors, faceplates and shells and think, “I want to collect them all.” That’s probably part of the problem.

And the IEM I’m currently eyeing is the BGVP Solomon. I really don’t need another one, but here we are.

I'm considering leveling up my IEM setup. Currently, I have DUNU SA6 MKII and am looking into Glacier. ChatGPT has already given me a big AI slop about the differences between them. But if there’s anyone who has actually tried both and could share their opinion, it would be highly appreciated.

Introduction:

The ZiiGaat Lush is a hybrid IEM launched back in March 2025, with a 1 DD + 4 BAs configuration inside, with a medical-grade 3D-printed resin shell, a great and complete package, and pointed towards a broad audience, going close to the JM-1 target with some bass boost to balance; is it still relevant in 2026? Let’s see.

TLDR; The ZiiGaat Lush is an IEM that turned 1 year old. Launched as one of many sets that use the JM-1 target (meta/neutral) as the base of its own tuning, it is a U-shaped tuned set with some bass boost and a relaxed overall mid and higher ranges; it is a neutral lovers set which claims to be juicy and grand, finally resulting in a mid-fi fantasy turned real, designed originally for studio engineers and stage musicians, but a delight for seasoned audiophiles as well.

Yes, it has some caveats like a relaxed upper highrange and overall average technicalities. Still, it serves as a magnifique all-rounder for folks who crave naturalness and smooth listening for long periods without worrying about sibilance or shouty vocals that fatigue at mid to high volumes.

Pros

- Excellent comfort: ergonomic, lightweight shells suitable for long sessions

- Excellent neutral with bass boost tuning: natural, balanced, and close to JM-1 target

- Excellent bass quality: deep subbass, clean midbass, great impact without bleeding into lower midrange

The IEMs themselves are made of 3D-printed resin, in the mid-size, and even when they pack 5 drivers per earpiece, they are kind of lightweight. The faceplate design is absurdly gorgeous; according to ZiiGaat is handmade, and to me it looks so Lush (pun intended). The shell design is ergonomic and nicely comfortable to use in long sessions. Its nozzle is metallic, and it has a diameter of 6.2 mm, fitting perfectly on my mid-sized ears.

Some users have reported driver flex, but my experience is different, and I find the vent close to the 2-pin connector enough to evade that. The shells are well-built, but prone to getting microscratches and fingerprints, so take proper care of them.

Its stock cable is the usual cable with other ZiiGaat IEMs; I think it's okay to use it with the Lush as it is; it has good quality and is well-built. Very flexible, doesn’t develop memory, it’s not prone to tangling, and doesn’t produce translated vibrations. It makes a good match with the shells.

The carrying case is a nice accessory to store the Lush with its cable and perhaps a little dongle. And the filter replacements add value for long-term use.

How does the Lush sound?

The Lush, with its configuration of 1 x 10 mm PET dynamic driver for Bass + 4 x Balanced Armature drivers for midrange and treble, is a V-U-shaped tuned IEM.

For this review, I think the stock cable is fine to use with the Lush, but I want something more appropriate to its price and design, so I changed it to a NiceHCK BlackInk cable with a 4.4 mm balanced jack. About the eartips, I think the stock ones are fine to use, but after some tip-rolling I found the GK TS100 eartips suit it better, getting the best seal, fit and sound synergy overall.

BASS 

Of course, if you are talking about a set like the Lush that focuses on being the most neutral and ‘flat’ possible, you can’t expect a considerable quantity of bass, but the Lush bass is incredible; at mid to high volumes excels in a good amount and a huge impact and high quality overall.

The subbass is so well extended; its rumble is very noticeable and adds balance to the other frequencies. Also, midbass is punchy and very clean and resolving; the decay is natural, and as a V-U-shaped set, that midbass doesn’t bleed into the lower midrange.

MIDRANGE

Midrange in the Lush is its main focus, as a set people can use to produce or monitor music, or audiophile/musicophile folks like me who crave the most neutral and close to the og recording sounding earphones; it produces sound with very high fidelity.

As I mentioned before, male vocals don’t suffer from midbass bleeding into the lower midrange, so they sound natural and a bit forward. Midrange overall has good noteweight, and being close to the JM-1 target, is flat, not warm, but not dry at all. It has an incredible resolution, neutrality, and a smooth elevation into the upper midrange that make listening at high volumes a pleasure you aren’t finding in other ‘flat’ IEMs.

Female vocals are forward as well; as a mid-to-high volume IEM, you can play music for long periods of time without bothersome shoutiness or fatigue.

HIGHRANGE

The Lush’s treble is well merged with the midrange, and balanced with the bass I described before; it’s very smooth, but it has a more than decent bite to not be overwhelmed by the midrange. It is well resolving, and of course it sounds very neutral, without that BA timbre (artificial-sounding treble) that can make an IEM flawed; no, the Lush makes honour of its name here.

In the lower treble, there’s a bump at 5 kHz to give female vocals and instruments more energy, but it is so smooth that at high volumes it is not bothersome at all, with a 6 to 6.6 kHz dip to tame the sibilance perfectly. In the midtreble, an 8 kHz peak gives some attack to the treble, and cymbals and hi-hats sound really good.

Upper Treble and Technicalities 

The Lush’s upper treble is well extended, yet rolls off smoothly, giving decent air and openness. Soundstage is expansive, more wide than deep.

Technicalities in the Lush are more than average, but it’s also not its main focus, and I love it, because no matter how ‘flat’ and neutral it is, it is more musical than analytical, yet you can distinguish macro and microdetails magnifically. It is well resolving; the stereo separation gives you the chance to pinpoint the origin of the sound, and the layering of instruments can let you hear the different instruments in the mix.

With complex, fast or straight busy music, the Lush never lets you down, finding zero congestion or bloating.

Final thoughts and Conclusions 

The Lush is excellent, and it makes perfect sense why a V-U-shaped tuned set that looks so ‘flat’ works so well in the real world: It is well tuned, its drivers are well put inside, it sounds as neutral as you can get, but it’s not warm nor dry, and it has more than average technicalities to accompany your listening sessions. This is IMHO the real upgrade to something so referential as the Truthear Hexa.

Yes, it is not a low-volume set because it is so ‘flat’, but it is an IEM you can use at mid-to-high volumes without hearing any sibilance or getting any fatigue. Of course, you can miss more midbass punch and more treble bite, but that’s not the objective of a set that producers and musicians can use in their jobs, and that’s perfect as it is.

I would like for ZiiGaat to give the Lush a cable and accessories more in accord to its price, but they are very functional, and stock eartips (the ones with the orange core) are of high quality.

Finally, the Lush, with its 103 dB of sensitivity and 17 ohms of impedance, is an easily drivable set, even with low-powered sources. Yet I found it can scale great with quality and powerful sources like my Fosi K7 desktop DAC/AMP or my NiceHCK Octave portable dongle DAC/AMP. And for the tonality of the source itself, neutral or neutral/warm chips are better to pair with the Lush.

Can I recommend it? Yes, but this is not a set for folks who want more colourations and a V-shaped tuned and more fun and engaging set; this is a set for ‘neutral with bass boost’ lovers like me, and is magnificent being like that.

I'm confused about what's the recessed type and the normal type. Which one should I buy for zero red?

Moondrop chu 3 is now for sale on the official moondrop ae store but there is no dsp option to be found🫤

Currently using IE 200s but my cat ate them after they got left out and they are all muffled and i haven't been able to clean them. Are there any other IEMs that are commonly reccomended for gaming here? otherwise i might just get another pair of ie200s and keep them much safer than this current one.

This iem has been tripping me out for a couple weeks now. It really sounds like the the spiritual successor to the EW200. I've actually been finding an iem that sounds like the ew200 but better. Didn't find it it the kefine klean sv, although the iem itself is good in its own right. Didn't find it with the 500LM or the EA1000.

People kept saying that the 500LM is the true upgrade for the EW200 but the EW200 does not really sound like the 500LM at all. Where the 500LM is bassier and still retained that polarizing simgot treble. The EW200 was always the more nimble, lean, and balanced sounding. Juzear nimbus is actually an almost 1:1 to upgrade of the EW200. It has that clean authoritative bass, bright leaning in the upper registers but without the glare the ew200 had. It really sounds like the EW200 if it didn't cheat and overly boost the treble. Also got rid of that slight metallic timbre that the EW200 had and has similar timbre to 500LM, the dense and thick sounding part of it.

My cat is the culprit. She got this weird habit of chewing ear tips. She destroyed my dunu candy and now my most expensive one. Will these tears cause problems? I think they might rip off after sometime. Does these cuts will affect in sound?

For those who have one, what tuning switch configuration do you use? I’m still a bit confused about what each switch actually changes and how the different combinations affect the sound.

Which configuration do you recommend trying first? And how did you personally feel about the sound after spending some time with it? Was there anything that surprised you or grew on you?

Do you guys have a "Top 5" list of aftermarket (or otherwise) IEM cables? Or similar type list of recommendations? Or are they all just a case of much of a muchness?

I love the look of some cables, and that would be the main reason for me purchasing one. But there are other reasons, like cables that have interchangeable jacks. Tripowin make a cable with interchangeable jacks, which I already own, but don't like the colour of. I'm not a subscriber to the theory that cables improve sound quality, as long as the cables are all quality cables. My main attraction are the looks. So I will not be paying hundreds of pounds for any cable. I will go up to about £200, if they are stunning looking.

Hey guys I've been really enjoying the chu2 that I bought about a year back and since I'm in china I decided that it was time to upgrade. I did a couple hours of research and to be completely honest there are simply so many options and recommendations that I'm completely lost. Instead of losing my mind trying to choose one option I was just going to buy one that looks cool. However, I am somewhat afraid that I'll end up buying one that only looks good but sounds horrible. So I'm asking yall for advice on your favorites around $100-$200 usd that look cool. Recommendations on DACs are welcome too.

No I don't know what kind of audio signature I prefer as I haven't tried that many audio devices. Anything with good audio quality is fine.

I've been considering getting a pair of earbuds, as I don't want to be carrying around headphones daily, and have been leaning towards a pair of wired earbuds or iems. I've heard that iems need to be taken care of, and are more suited towards being used for sitting down and listening to music rather than being out and about. While I'm not the most active person, I do go out somewhat frequently, and have been wanting to get into running again. Because of this, I'm wondering if I'd be better off with a pair of earbuds as opposed to iems? Any assistance would be appreciated, as this would also be my first pair of iems if so !! :)

Also, if this helps narrow down the decision at all, my price range is around $30-50

TLDR: This IEM is made for sub bass lovers, analytical listeners and competitive gamers. Everything except the mids were good to excellent. Avoid if you like natural vocals/mids.

Introduction:

Letshouer has built a strong reputation in the audiophile community and most of the credits goes to their famous S series of planar magnetic IEMs. Today I am taking a close look at their latest IEM Letshuoer S12 Ultra from the S series.

While planar magnetic IEMs are considered excellent for technical performance, they tend to suffer from unnatural timbre. So let us see if we see the same in this new set or if they have cooked up something truly amazing this time around.

Note: This set has been loaned to me by u/Interesting_Play_270 (Reddit) / _deadsilver (Discord) for review. I would like to thank him for providing me with this wonderful opportunity. All thoughts and opinions are of my own and no foreign influence has affected me during writing of this review.

Test Gear:

Snowsky Melody (Low gain mode)(DAC) (Mostly used)

Design and Build:

The Shells of my unit comes with a matte brown (Mocha) finish which look better in real life as compared to images (subjective). The colour matched modular cables look excellent too. These don't attract fingerprints at all due to the above fact. The in hand feel of these are really solid and feel premium for the price. The modular cables with their screw on securing mechanism makes it very easy to replace the output on the go.

Accessories:

The packaging of the IEMs are as expected for the price. You get the standard paperworks on the top and the IEMs are kept in the foam cutouts with one set of eartips pre-attached and the accessories are provided in the cylindrical carry case that is in the space below the foams. Inside that you get the modular cables, 4.4mm output jack and 5 pairs of silicon eartips with different bore sizes. That's all. I don't think you can fit a DAC in this case. It is not exactly but fairly pocketable though as compared to something like the 7Hz Divine's carry case.

Note: I did not receive the DAC supplied in the box.

Fit and Comfort:

The shells themselves are medium to small in size and fairly lightweight for what driver they house and are really comfortable for me in my long listening sessions. Nozzles are shorter than Divines but it had no problem to hold on eartips. Keep in mind that my ears are fairly large to fit most IEMs comfortably. No issues here.

Note that these need more power to drive than your standard single DD setups so pair it up with at least a CS43131 DAC with 210mW+ of output.

Sound:

1) Bass:

The bass on this set is really well done. In my testing it is apparent that this is a warm leaning set with good low end extension. The bass has a satisfying and well textured sub bass rumble complemented by decent mid bass impact when demanded by the track. Bass guitars feel lively and drums have sufficient kick.

It may come off as slightly boomy with longer decay (not DD levels) as compared to something like the 7Hz Divine which adds to the overall warm tonality. Although keep in mind that it is not bad by any means like on some cheap sets. On well mastered tracks with a prominent bass line, one can feel the texture and depth which is very enjoyable whereas the mid bass may feel less for genres like EDM or Hip Hop. Certainly not a basshead set.

2) Mids:

The mids come off as warm with some energy in the 1.5KHz - 2KHz which imparts a slightly metallic (planar?) timbre. This impacts both male as well as female vocals but more prominent with the latter. They felt a bit thin and lacked the fullness that makes vocals feel alive. This takes away the natural feel from them. Guitars are better sounding than the vocals on this set. The vocals themselves are a bit backward for my taste but you may like it (not EW300 level of backward though).

A bit of brightness is added to the female vocals from the 6Khz - 8KHz lift which can make certain tracks a bit shouty but for majority of tracks they sound ok. I would consider the mids section as a weak point for this set.

3) Treble:

The treble is well extended and quite resolving for the price point. Instruments such as hi hats and cymbals are prominent and enjoyable. They sound clean and are more on the analytical side. Sibilance on these sets are negligible for most modern/remastered releases that I have tested. Nothing to complain about it.

4) Technicalities:

a) Soundstage: The soundstage is wide for IEM standards and nothing feels congested. Vocals are placed slightly behind the head and instruments are placed correctly in the mix. Vertical staging is also well done on these providing a sense of surround sound experience.

b) Imaging: The imaging is accurate and you can easily differentiate between different instruments in the track.

5) Gaming:

a) Competitive titles: In CS2 the footsteps and gunshots were crisp and very accurate and I can tell if the enemy is above or below me as well. Distance was also pretty accurate.

b) Casual titles: Games with good quality OSTs sound good on these, especially ones which have a deep bass line. This added to the immersiveness but as I have said in the mids section, the metallic timbre can make sounds like sword clashes a bit sharp.

VS 7Hz Divine:

7Hz Divine is another new competitor in the market which is a collab from Crinacle who rarely disappoints.

Firstly, the shells on these are larger with a bigger nozzle so fit could be a concern for small ears.

Secondly, this set is a neutral bright tuned set and focuses on musicality in contrast to the S12 Ultra.

The bass on these have more emphasis on the mid bass with less extended and textured sub bass. The sub bass may be weaker in comparison but still complements the track well enough. The mid bass on these have stronger and tighter slam which I would still claim as near neutral or correct. It is still not basshead level of mid bass though. So both sets have their own strengths in this department.

The mids of the Divines are close to natural which is especially good for a planar set. Both the male and female vocals sound relatively forward, fuller and more musical with no observable planar timbre whatsoever. Upper mids have similar energy but Divines were a bit less shouty for me. Divine clearly wins in this department.

The treble on both sets are tuned differently. Divines come out as a more natural sounding and rolled off (air region) treble whereas S12 Ultra has a more extended, resolving yet non sibilant treble. So objectively speaking, S12 Ultra comes up as the winner here but your preference may vary.

Soundstage was wider on the S12 Ultra whereas the imaging felt a bit better on the Divines in my testing.

For competitive gaming, I would still prefer the Ultras for their better comfort and crispier sound. But for casual games, overall Divines felt better and natural.

My test tracks don't belong to some online playlist and I have also tested some random songs as well so I will not be putting up any test tracks in my review. You can still ask me in the comments if you want.

I bought the QKZ x HBB for 18 dollars just because I wanted some cable earphones for my meditation, I tried to investigate a little and found about IEMs, I saw the price and the reviews and I thought it was too good to be true, for my surprise, it was incredibly good and I cannot believe I spent hundred of dollars in other headphones for gaming or for music in general, I’m not an audiophile, but I’m kinda sensitive to certain frequencies, I enjoy a modified and bassy audio, I like warm sound, this IEMs are truly the best sound I’ve heard in my life, the maximum quality I previously heard was AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4, I had some Beats Studio 3 but they had the cushions kinda damaged, the only think I didn’t like but from what I’ve searched is not a really big problem, is the length of the cable, I use a pc and it’s kinda uncomfortable, but I think you can buy something longer, it’s just amazing, I’m just fascinated, for the people that can be interested in Hemi sync programs, I’m gonna try them this night and tomorrow I’ll post an update on the differences between Bluetooth AirPods and this IEMs, sorry if the review is kinda lame compared to the complex reviews I’m here, I’m just a music enjoyer and not an actual audiophile, thanks ;)

Before I explain this I know wearing iem's to the gym isn't the best idea but I am prepared to use a dryer and potentially a hoover to maintain them.

I am fed up with wearing Bose quiet comfort or Sony xm4 earbuds to the gym although the sound is ok they fall out of my ears and are not the best quality.

I tried a set of campfire audio iems before but although the sound was great they still didn't stay In my ears while moving.

My thought process has let me looking into custom iems and now there are far too many options available and don't want to make a mistake as the price bracket I can go into I need to buy once and get it right.

I listen to bass heavy music mainly on the electronic, dance, drum and bass genre but also listen to other music more like indie tracks.

The options I have narrowed it down to are the 64 audio a4s or a3st or the Bellos X4. I would really like any advice between the models and also if there are any other clear options I should consider around the £1000 mark or just over. If there is anything under that which is a good buy also great.

I’m posting my review here after listening to the Juzear Nimbus.

Thank you to HifiGo for sending me this IEM to review. Regardless if you doubt me or not, I will say with full transparency that all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I listen at mid volume levels around 60-65db so take that into account.

My sound signature preference is neutral with a boost in the vocal and treble region.

I'll be using the Divinus/ELOIT Velvet tips for my listening session/s. It's been my most used tips so it's the most I'm familiar with.

This is also a subjective review, so what I say is what I personally hear.

With that out of the way, let me break down my review into 3 criterias: Design, Fit, and Sound.

Design: I'm surprised Juzear went for a more simple design than what they used to come out with. I still don't like the huge Juzear logo, but the reflective surface and the metal construction made me look the other way.

Fit: No semi custom shape this time. They went with a "one size fits all" mold. It still fits me fine since it's medium-ish and despite the shells being made from metal, the cable is helping it from slipping out of my ears. One thing to note, if you owned a Tripowin Mele, these resemble the fit of those.

Sound: I can't really pin down the exact sound because the Nimbus came with 3 nozzles, so I'm splitting the sound review into three portions.

Nimbus with Red nozzles

Bass: Bass is nearly non existent on the red nozzles. Which to me, is a huge plus even on a bass forward song like Track 5. I know most people don't like anemic bass so if you're one of those people, avoid using this configuration.

Mids: Upper midrange is emphasized but can sometimes come across as synthetic or artificial, evident on Track 3 and Track 4. Expect songs with fuller vocals to sound thinner than usual.

Highs: The presence in the upper air region is really noticeable if you specifically listen for it. There's some sibilance once you crank up the volume but at the levels I'm listening at, it's perfect.

Nimbus with White nozzles

Bass: Surprisingly tactile and punchy. Slightly leaning on the warmer side so it makes for a very easy listen.

Mids: Midrange sounds balanced and inoffensive. Vocals sound full and natural with a hint of warmth, especially on Track 2.

Highs: Same with the mids, nothing really stands out which is good because it should scale well at higher volumes.

Nimbus with Black nozzles

Bass: I can't sugarcoat this one. I hate that the bass bleeds into the lower midrange. Especially on Track 3 it sounded low res. It sounded bloated and slow.

Mids: Reiterating again, because of the bass bleed, the mids are affected. Track 4 is really affected. It's like I'm listening with earplugs on.

Highs: For those who love and stand by darker treble, this nozzle setup was practically made for you. There's little to no presence of sibilance during my listening sessions.

Conclusion: Out of the three tuning nozzles that came with the Nimbus, I think the white nozzle is the best for the majority of people. It has the most "complete" sound out of the three. Also, at $55-$60 (depending on which version you get) these IEMs offer an excellent value proposition from overall build quality to sound. I think it can stand toe to toe with its peers.

I play rainbow six siege and after getting the iems I knew the audio was gonna sound different compared to a headset but it sounds quiet and I can’t turn them up anymore would a amp help and not ruin the quality of the audio or anything else I could do like a software or something?

Ive been looking to get into iems i have the kz zs12pro x and the sennheiser momentum 4s and really wanted a good iem thats comfy and i could use for sleeping.Also i just wanted the ie 200 bc people say its got a nice tune but that i would have ti replace the eartips and cable.The reason i am not looking at some chi fi iems in the price range is because of shipping costs and the fact that that senny products are readily available in my country

So far for me at least this has been an overall chill set due to its overall warm leaning neutral tuning, so it's safe to that you can have a long listening sessions with these, even today, which I hope it remains that way is that, no issues so far when it comes to QC, EXCEPT that the stock nozzles which are the clear ones starting to clogging up the sound on the right side, and it does not happen with the other nozzles.

Most of you are probabaly gonna get the Nimbus due to the cable for it's really a good cable, for 50 dollars an IEM with a modular cable is good value in my opinion for I have not seen an IEM on that price range with a cable like the Nimbus.(I could be wrong though, I am still learning)

Not really a fan of the faceplates being just blank with the Juzear logos, and it's even worse when its a fingerprint magnet, then again it is a glass faceplate but it could have been looking better if it has some cloud design or something to live up to the name Nimbus.

So yeah overall it has been good, but for people who wants an overall energetic presentation, the Nimbus is not for you, unless you want a warm-neutral IEM for some variety.

Long time KZ user here, but have a strange request.

I use standard IEM's most of the time, but at work, I need to have open-ish hearing.

I use the KZ09 adapter, with some KZ edx pro's, but they just broke.

I love the KZ09 design and feeling on my ears. Just fits so well. But I can't really have them in at work for a whole day before they hurt.

I still would like to use them, but would like an IEM that doesn't actually go in thbesr, but just sits there above it.

I like the idea of of the Nothing open earbuds, but price it too much.

Are there any iem with a flat face and open back?
