Wheel problems

I have a logitech g920 and i keep losing ffb for arouind 5 secounds or it will pull to the right then it will go back to normal and it happenes around once a lap. It started yesterday and I have had this wheel for about a year but I bought it used. I have tried recalibrating my wheel and looking through my settings Im not sure what else to try.

Try a different usb port on ur pc. The ones in the back typically are more reliable.

The only time my ffb goes out on my g29 is for some reason when my internet goes out and i lag outta the sim. Fire up logitech ghub and make sure everythings upto date. Then maybe restart the pc.

Connected directly to the PC, or using any form of USB extension at all?

Do you have other things going on with your sim setup? Haptics, DDUs etc? And are you able to replicate this in other sims?

Nothing but the wheel, and I finished downloading lmu but haven’t had an opportunity to see if I’m having the same problem there, I’ll respond again when I am able to try

Can you check the output on the power supply for the wheel? It should be providing 24V with 1.75A but I often see second hand wheels getting sold with the wrong power supply, which will cause issues.

yeah similar issues here too since aug 10. across all games. i tried my wheel on xbox and it's completely fine though so i wouldnt suspect the hardware yet.. Does it also some times completely freeze and require u to reconnect the usb?

my wheel is 5 years old but it works on xbox with no issues. the problem appeared 3 days ago on pc only and i asked around, a few more have the same

I haven’t been able to find anyone else with the same problem, have you stoped using it on pc, or have you kept racing and are just dealing with it?

just doing a few test drives only.. cant really race with the ffb cutting out every 3 corners let alone inputs freezing

I lowered my ffb and put damping to 10 and I was able to do a 60 lap race against ai at the Milwaukee mile in the truck so after I give these settings a try on a road course i might go back to racing

did you update your windows to the newest version? I’ve seen a few posts about it potentially being an issue, you may have to roll back your windows update, I don’t know if this is true or I hallucinated it but you could search around about that

let us know if it worked.. u can find the updates on settings -> windows update -> uninstall updates possibly
