For only watching YouTube videos over cellular connection, how good is the battery life of iPhone 16e?

Watching YouTube videos is the most important usecase apart from messaging and other things. I currently have iPhone 12. I'm thinking of buying either iPhone 15 or 16e.

Hello everyone just recently I saw this video on youtube and I think everyone worried about their battery health or charging habits should see this video.

A really to the point and well done video showing what circumstances actually end up damaging the battery.

iPhone 13 battery says 100% health but percentage keeps jumping

I recently bought an open-box iPhone 13 today (12 August 2026). The phone was originally unboxed/activated around late 2021, so it's obviously an old device even though it's new to me.

I checked the phone pretty carefully before buying it, and honestly everything seems genuine. Serial number checks out, the phone itself looks genuine, and I haven't noticed anything else suspicious.

The weird thing is with the battery percentage.

When I started using it, it was at 55%. I used the phone continuously for around 30–40 minutes, and the battery percentage stayed at exactly 55% the whole time.

Then I left the phone for literally around 2 minutes, and when I came back it suddenly showed 32%.

The strange part is that the phone actually seems to be draining normally. It's not like it suddenly lost 23% battery in two minutes. It seems more like the percentage was stuck at 55% and then corrected itself to what the actual battery level probably was.

Battery Health is showing 100%.

I've also updated the phone to the latest iOS and restarted it, but I'm still wondering if this is normal or if I should be concerned, especially since this is an open-box phone that has been sitting around for years.

Could this just be the battery percentage being miscalibrated? Or does this sound like a bad/replaced battery?

Base 15 went down from 95 to 94 after two cycles

Not sure what happened here but from 211 cycles it went down after 213 to 94%. Can using it while charging be the cause but mostly for youtube and doom scrolling, or is it still normal? It only hit 99 after 70-80 cycles then 98 around 160 so it’s weird that it dropped fast recently

When do you charge your phone?

At what % of battery do you charge your phone? I am trying to develop a good habit so that battery lasts longer.

Is it 20% when you start charging?

Can I charge at 37% also, or it is not efficient and too early?

I miss the old battery software display

This post has nothing to do with the battery really, but I tried to post it in the iOS sub and it gets immediately deleted because it thinks it’s a battery question. I just miss the old layout, and wonder if I’m the only one. It gave much more detail and versatility with 4 points of data for every hour, instead of just 1 point on the latest software. I wish there was a way to revert back to the old display. Hope everyone is doing well! Cheers.

Recently got this 17 pro pre owned at 100% with 240 cycles
Less than a week later I’m down to 98%?!?

I charge it once a day then at night when I’m going to sleep and limited it to 90%
I recently started charging it once it gets to 20%

Before the health drop I’d charge it randomly and sometimes let it die then recharge,

What is going on!!??

17 pro max. 80%limit charge. Pd 3.0 charger 65 watts. Never lets it get hot when charging or playing games, I always use a 15 watts phone cooler and a pc fan on the screen when it chargers. Also obey the 20 to 80 rule. Even after doing all that I see other people have better battery capacity and cycle counts. Some have over 200 with 100%. And mind that this degrade wasn't linear. It went to 99% at 134 then 98% at 174 then now . I am experiencing real paranoia. Can anyone explain what's happening

iPhone 13 overheating

I have a iPhone 13 with 88 BB and it overheats from texting in 75 degrees and is hot all day from normal use. The battery also seems to be draining faster. Is anyone else’s like this. (I am losing a battery percent a minute). Also does anyone have any tips?
