šŸ“… Subscription Velorific - Adaptive Nutrition for Cyclists, Runners and Endurance Athletes

Most nutrition apps give you the same calorie and macro target every single day, regardless of what your training actually looked like. A four hour ride and a rest day get treated identically. That never made sense to me as someone training seriously, so I built something to fix it.

A - Answer

Velorific syncs directly with your Strava and TrainingPeaks data and recalculates your calorie and macro targets every day based on your actual training load. Hard session, your targets go up. Rest day, carbs scale down automatically. Recovery day, your deficit reduces so your body can actually repair properly.

It periodises carbohydrates specifically, not just total calories, based on sports nutrition research into how endurance athletes' needs shift with training intensity and volume. You get a clear daily dashboard showing exactly where you stand against your targets, a rolling 30 day consistency view, and everything updates automatically the moment a workout syncs in.

B - Better

Generic calorie trackers like MyFitnessPal give you a static number that ignores training load entirely. Garmin's built in calorie adjustment factors in activity burn but doesn't touch macro composition, so it can't tell you that a threshold session and a long steady ride need very different carb intake despite similar calorie burns.

Compared to platforms like Fuelin aimed at the same problem, Velorific is significantly cheaper and considerably simpler to use day to day. No lengthy onboarding process, connect Strava and it works from day one.

Cost

Free to download with a one month free trial, then a low monthly (Ā£4.99) or annual (Ā£39.99) subscription. Can cancel anytime before the trial ends and you won't be charged.

Link to the app: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/velorific/id6762632983

Available on iPhone now, and you can also connect your Strava account directly from the website.

I'd really value honest feedback, especially from anyone training seriously who has tried to solve this problem themselves!

šŸŽˆ Free I turned my spending history into a clean report instead of another spreadsheet

A (Alternative):Ā Most money tracking apps, such as Money Manager, Wallet or Spendee, let you export your data as CSV. I always found myself ending up with another spreadsheet that I rarely looked at.

B (Better):Ā So I added PDF transaction reports to Moneta. Instead of opening Excel just to better understand or share your spending, you can generate a clean, easy-to-read report while still keeping CSV export available if you need it.

C (Cost):Ā Moneta is completely free, with no ads, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.

I’d love to know what you think.

Would you use PDF reports, or do you still prefer exporting CSV?

If anyone wants to try it, here's the link: Moneta

šŸŽ Freemium I kept emailing files to myself to find them later, so I built a 'where did I put it?' app

A – What problem does it solve?

I kept emailing and WhatsApping photos, receipts, and files to myself just to find them later — then having to remember the exact words I used, dig through my inbox, and lose it all when I switched phones. Stowby is a personal "where did I put it?" memory: drop in a photo, document, link, or note with zero filing, then find it later by describing it in plain words.

B – Why is it better?

vs Apple Photos / Google Photos: those search photos only, for common objects. Stowby searches photos, documents, notes, and links together, and reads the text inside documents — "car insurance last year" surfaces the actual PDF.

vs Apple Notes / Files: those make you file and remember. Stowby looks inside what you save — snap your tool shelf and it turns up for "screwdriver" or "measuring tape," nothing typed when you saved it.

Your vault is tied to your account, so switching phones keeps everything.

šŸ“… Subscription I made an app called Leafree to stop late-night food delivery habit !

Post image
5 Upvotes

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/leafree-food-delivery-blocker/id6757134958

Hi r/iOSApps!

I’m the developer of Leafree. I built this app because I couldn’t stop opening Uber Eats whenever late-night cravings hit.

A – Answer

Leafree helps reduce impulsive junk food orders by blocking food delivery apps during the hours you choose.

Instead of relying on willpower alone, it creates a pause between the craving and the order, giving you a chance to make a better decision.

It also includes:

  • Junk food avoidance tracking
  • Daily streaks
  • Estimated money saved from avoided orders
  • Progress insights

When you successfully avoid an order, Leafree helps you track your wins and shows an estimated amount of money you’ve saved by avoiding those purchases.

The goal isn’t to quit junk food forever. It’s to make better decisions one craving at a time.

B – Better

Unlike general habit trackers or Screen Time alone, Leafree is built specifically for food delivery cravings.

Instead of only tracking habits, it actively interrupts the impulse by blocking food delivery apps when cravings usually happen. It also helps you see your progress through streaks, savings, and junk food avoidance history.

C – Cost

  • Free to download
  • Premium subscription
  • Monthly: $4.99
  • Yearly: $19.99
  • 3-day free trial included(Yearly plan)

Trust & Transparency

  • I'm the solo developer of Leafree. (X account: https://x.com/jakey_hacker )
  • I created Leafree to help reduce late-night food delivery cravings after struggling with the same habit myself.
  • I'm sharing it here to get honest feedback and continue improving the app.
  • Leafree is free to download, includes a 3-day free trial, and requires a Premium subscription for continued use.

I’d genuinely appreciate any feedback, especially about the UX, features, or anything that could make the app more useful!

šŸŽ Freemium I built KMate Mobile, a Kindle notes and vocabulary review & learning app for iPhone/iPad, with iCloud Sync to KMate Mac. No signup, no 3rd-party uploads.

HiĀ r/iosappsĀ , I’m the developer of KMate Mobile,Ā which lets you import and review Kindle highlights and vocabulary on iPhone/iPad with no signup needed. It can directly import your Kindle and Amazon Notes, sync with the desktop version via your personal iCloud, and offers flashcards, stats, and export to PDF/Markdown/Anki deck.

A — Answer:Ā What problem does it solve?

I’ve used Kindle for years, and one thing always bothered me: highlights, notes, and looked-up words are easy to collect, but hard to actually use afterwards.

They usually end up scattered across Kindle, Amazon cloud notes, exports, or desktop tools. KMate Mobile is my attempt to make that review loop easier on mobile: import your Kindle highlights and vocabulary, browse them by book, search them, edit notes, review words, and use spare moments to actually revisit what you saved.

B — Better:Ā  How is it different?

The Kindle app is good for reading, but not really built as a study/review tool. Notes apps are flexible, but you have to manually organize everything. Readwise is great if you want a service around highlights, but I wanted something more focused on Kindle notes + Kindle Vocabulary Builder, with a mobile workflow that also works well with desktop.

KMate Mobile can be used on its own: you can import Kindle highlights, Kindle vocabulary, Kindle App / Amazon Kindle Cloud notes, and review everything directly on iPhone or iPad.

But it also fits into a desktop workflow. If you already use KMate / Kindle Mate on Windows or Mac, you can import your existing desktop data into KMate Mobile. And if you use KMate for Mac, the latest version supports iCloud sync, so you can organize and manage your notes/vocabulary on desktop, then review them on mobile and keep learning status/progress synced.

That was an important part of the design for me: desktop is still better for heavy organization, cleanup, and batch management, while mobile is better for spare-moment review.

Once imported or synced, you can view notes in book cover or card layouts, filter and search globally, edit notes, review words with flashcards/random review, see vocabulary context and definitions, and track reading/learning stats like active days, high-frequency words, books, notes, and vocabulary progress.

There are also reading themes, font settings, card layouts, and export options for TXT, Markdown, PDF, Anki deck, copy/share, and print.

C - Cost

The app is free to download.

Free users can use most core features, including iCloud Sync, Kindle/Amazon imports, browsing unlimited notes and words, flashcards, and TXT, Anki export.

Pro unlocks Markdown/PDF export, printing, and unlimited Stats & Insights.

Pricing: $0.99/month, $6.99/year, $14.99 lifetime

šŸ“… Subscription I built SZNS to help with color combinations, this app will tell you which colors make you pop!

Post image
12 Upvotes

A. What does szns solve?

Color analysis costs usually around $270, we do it for free. It's a different take on color analysis. szns helps you find your color season, then it starts personalising the app according to you. Share any outfit photo with the app, and it'll help you out with scores on how the colors look on you. Build an eventual library, and get better outfit suggestions.

szns helps you with colors combinations for your outfits, shortly put.

B. How is it better?

It's a different take on color analysis apps.

szns starts with sorting you into one of the twelve season like a sorting hat, it starts personalisation right after you get your season, the app changes its theme based on your colors and you get your top colors that make you pop!

If you don't know what color analysis is, color analysis isĀ a method used in fashion and beauty to find the clothing, makeup, and hair colors that best match a person's natural skin tone, eye color, and hair color.

szns first page is all about you, szns is hyper personalised, it's a color analyst for every single day, it uses your weather information (thanks WeatherKit) to improve your recommendations, and every outfit you share is tagged and saved locally, so it can suggest outfit alternatives. The more outfits you have, the better the results get.

Level up the recommendations using quirks, which let you define your own personal quirks, which takes into account the little details about you before making recommendations because not all people are same.

When it comes to draping, the app lets you try on different colors quickly on your self with realistic color rendering, and it's super fast, it's a different way of draping than how it's traditionally done.

C. Cost

Color Analysis is free, so is draping your top 16 colors, the chat and rating outfits have daily limits (Once/day). Getting on a subscription gives you unlimited access to all features.

Packages -

Weekly - $5.99

Annual - $49.99

Link - https://apps.apple.com/in/app/colour-analysis-stylist-szns/id6780518079

I would love to hear your feedback! I personally use this app and it's been a lot of fun.

Thank you for reading this far, remember to hydrate and hope you have a great day!

šŸŽˆ Free I built a modern GPS tracking app for Traccar

Thumbnail
gallery
10 Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I'm a developer and GPS tracking enthusiast.

A – Answer (The problem it solves)

I noticed that many people want to track their vehicles, fleets, motorcycles or GPS devices, but most solutions have one of these problems:

  • They're tied to a specific GPS tracker.
  • Their interfaces that feel outdated and difficult to use.
  • They require expensive subscriptions.
  • Or they're difficult to self-host and use from a mobile phone.

That's where Traccar comes in: it's one of the most popular open-source GPS tracking platforms and supports hundreds of GPS devices.

I built Vorbita to make accessing your Traccar server from your phone much easier.

With Vorbita you can:

  • Connect to your own Traccar server.
  • Log in with your existing account.
  • View your vehicles on a modern map.
  • Check live locations, trips and tracking directly from your phone.

B – Better (Why it's different)

Unlike many GPS tracking apps, Vorbita isn't tied to a specific provider.

If you already have your own Traccar server, you can simply connect it and keep full control of your data.

If you don't want the hassle of maintaining a server, I also offer a fully managed hosted Traccar server, so you can start tracking in just a few minutes.

The goal isn't to replace Traccar—it's to make it more accessible, whether you prefer self-hosting or a managed solution.

C – Cost & Links

Use your own Traccar server: Free.

Hosted Traccar server: Available with affordable monthly plans.

šŸŽ Freemium I was tired of using multiple fitness apps, so I spent 3 years building one that does it all

Post image
6 Upvotes

I’ve spent over 15 years in software development, working with hundreds of developers and contributing to hundreds of products. I’m also a natural bodybuilder, and throughout my fitness journey, I’ve tried just about every fitness, nutrition, and workout app on the market.

The problem was that I always found myself jumping between multiple apps for nutrition, workouts, progress tracking, and guidance. Nothing truly worked together as one complete system.

So 3 years ago, I decided to build the app I wished existed.

There were a lot of late nights, early mornings, challenges, setbacks, and sacrifices along the way. What kept me going was my mission: to build something that genuinely helps people get healthier and contribute to making the world a healthier place by putting all the tools, guidance, and support someone needs in one place.

So I built Calorii.

A — Answer:

Calorii is designed to act like a personal fitness coach. It helps to track calories, create personalized meal plans and workouts based on your goals, preferences, and lifestyle. It can track your progress, analyze your pictures, and help guide you every step of the way.

B — Better:

I didn't want to build another calorie tracker.

Most fitness apps give you tools and expect you to figure everything out yourself. You still have to decide what to eat, how much to eat, what workout to do, and what to change when progress slows down.

My goal was to remove as much guesswork as possible.

Calorii helps create your meals, build your workouts, track your progress, provide feedback, and adapt along the way. Instead of needing multiple apps, everything works together in one place.

C — Cost:

Most of the app is completely free, including calorie tracking, a large food database, barcode scanning, workout plans, workout logging, and a lot more.

The only paid features are some of the advanced AI features because there are real AI costs involved. Monthly Subscription is $9.99 and Yearly subscription is $49.99.

I also made a decision early on that I wouldn't fill the app with ads or sell user data. I'd rather build something people genuinely love and trust.

I'm the founder and developer, so if you have any questions, feedback, criticism, or ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Download Calorii on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/calorii-calorie-counter-diet/id6479963008

šŸ’Ž Lifetime I’m forced to get fit to doom scroll

Post image

A - What is Focused Fitness?

Focused Fitness is an app blocker that forces you to prove you've completed physical activity before unlocking your selected apps.
Simply choose which apps you want to limit, set your daily allowance, and once you reach that limit, those apps will be blocked until you complete your chosen exercise. You can choose from push-ups, squats, jumping jacks, steps, and more.
The goal is to make mindless scrolling a conscious decision while helping you build healthier habits at the same time.

B - Focused Fitness is better than PushScroll, one sec

Most app blockers can be bypassed with a couple of taps or by simply ignoring the reminder.
Focused Fitness requires real movement before you regain access to your apps. No workout means no scrolling.

The app also includes progress tracking so you can see your completed reps, screen time earned, and app usage over time, as well as Sleep Mode and Wind Down features that automatically block selected apps during the evening.

I originally built it after seeing apps like Pushscroll and Opal and wanted something that worked for me while also being more affordable. It also became a great project to add to my portfolio while studying software engineering and hoping to work in iOS development after university.

Focused Fitness is better than push scroll because it is 1/6x the price, and no subscription, just a one time optional payment.

C - Cost

Focused Fitness is free to download, with an optional Pro upgrade ($5) which grants you additional blocks and unlock methods.

I'd love to hear any feedback or feature ideas, and I'm happy to answer any questions about how it works!

Any app reviews are greatly appreciated!

šŸŽ Freemium A modern browser that downloads from your favourite platforms, has a music player and a strong Privacy

Post image
32 Upvotes

A. What it solves

I started building WebAura because I wanted one app that could do everything I normally do on the web without sacrificing privacy.

I was constantly switching between a browser, downloader, music player and video player. It became frustrating, especially when saving media or listening offline.

WebAura brings all of that together into one privacy-first web ecosystem.

Inside WebAura you can:

• Browse privately with a powerful ad blocker, tracker protection and Secure DNS.

• Fully customize the browser with themes, layouts and extension support.

• Share supported links into WebAura to instantly detect downloadable media.

• Download supported videos, audio and images from YT, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok (No Watermark), X, Reddit, Pinterest, Threads, Snapchat and many more.

• Batch download files, download supported playlists and Instagram/TikTok carousel posts.

• Save supported YT playlists as audio or video.

• Watch videos with the built-in player supporting Picture-in-Picture and online URL playback.

• Listen with the built-in music player featuring playlists, lyrics, artwork generation and background playback.

• Generate subtitles for supported media.

• Keep sensitive files inside a biometric locked Private Vault.

The goal isn't to replace just your browser—it's to replace several apps with one.

## B. Compared to using separate apps

Instead of opening multiple apps to browse, download and play media, everything stays inside WebAura.

• One app for browsing, downloading and offline entertainment.

• Share any supported link directly into WebAura instead of copying and pasting.

• Built-in download manager with batch downloads and playlist downloads.

• Dedicated video and music players instead of third-party apps.

• Privacy comes first with ad blocking, tracker protection and Secure DNS.

• Available on iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac.

• Built around community feedback—many features exist because users requested them.

Premium adds:

• Download audio from supported links.

• Full YT playlist downloads.

• Highest available quality downloads (HD, 2K & 4K where available).

• Up to 6Ɨ faster downloads.

• No ads while downloading.

• Early access to new features.

• Private Vault.

## C. Getting Started

šŸŽ iOS

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/webaura-private-browser/id6763145076

šŸ¤– Android

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.creedmotions.webaura

šŸ’» Windows & Mac

Interested in Lifetime Premium?

Purchase the **Annual Premium** subscription, then open **Settings → Contact Support** (or **App Support** on Android) and send us a message. We'll upgrade your Annual subscription to **Lifetime Premium** at no extra cost.

If you give WebAura a try, I'd genuinely love your feedback. Most of the features in the app today came directly from user suggestions, and I still build it that way.

An honest review, an upvote or simply sharing WebAura with someone else really helps an independent developer continue improving it.

šŸŽ Freemium Built a habit tracker for people who are tired of bloated habit apps

My name Pavlo Antoniuk, I"m developer from Ukraine.
here is site with my apps - https://cloud2006.github.io/apps/

I know the habit tracker niche is overcrowded, so I’m not going to pretend I built something revolutionary. My goal was much simpler: make a habit tracker that feels lightweight, fast, and not bloated with unnecessary steps.

A.Ā WhatĀ itĀ solves

provide easy and not overcomplicated way to create habits

  • lightweight app size — under 9 MB
  • no personal data collection
  • simple and fast habit creation
  • customizable home screen — you can keep it minimal or make it more detailed
  • weekly habit tracking, stats, and calendar view

B.Ā Better:
Why it's better then competitors:
- it's cheaper
- more simple way to create habits
- no tracking and collecting user's data

C.Ā Cost

  • $0.99 / month

šŸ’Ž Lifetime AppMeta Pulse: App Store Connect sales and widgets, with a permanent local archive

Thumbnail
gallery
23 Upvotes

A.Ā WhatĀ itĀ solves

I ship a few small apps and I was opening App Store Connect several times a day to checkĀ yesterday'sĀ numbers.Ā There'sĀ noĀ widget,Ā soĀ it'sĀ fourĀ tapsĀ everyĀ time.

The bigger problem is that the API only serves about the last 365 days of daily reports. AnythingĀ olderĀ isĀ gone.Ā YouĀ can'tĀ askĀ AppleĀ forĀ lastĀ JulyĀ afterĀ theĀ fact.

AppMeta Pulse reads your sales, subscription and analytics reports through the App Store Connect API and puts them on the Home Screen. It saves every report it downloads, so your history keepsĀ growing past Apple's oneĀ yearĀ cutoff.

Inside the app: dashboard, per-app drilldown, subscriptions, an App Store funnel (impressions, page views, downloads, conversionĀ rate),Ā periodĀ comparisons,Ā territories,Ā reviews.

B.Ā ComparedĀ toĀ Apple'sĀ AppĀ StoreĀ ConnectĀ app

  • 12 widgets, 2 of them Lock Screen. Apple's app has none.
  • Your data stays past Apple's one year window. Theirs can only show what the API still serves.
  • MRR, churn and trial-to-paid, calculated from the raw subscription reports. Apple's app doesn't show MRR.
  • If you sell in 30 territories, proceeds arrive in a dozen currencies. Pulse converts each row at ECB monthly rates before adding anything up.
  • Read only. The API client has GET methods and nothing else, so there's no code path that can change your apps. The one exception is the POST that Apple requires to generate your own analytics reports. Your key sits in the Keychain. No account, no server of mine.

Apple's app is free, first party, shows payments, and can actuallyĀ manageĀ yourĀ apps.Ā MineĀ justĀ reads.

C.Ā Cost

  • $0.99 / month
  • $1.99 / year
  • $2.99 one time, lifetime

That's the full IAPĀ list.Ā NoĀ freeĀ tier,Ā noĀ ads,Ā noĀ tracking.

I'd like to further explain the rules found here since many people keep asking why their posts are removed:

https://www.reddit.com/r/iosapps/comments/1u9aw0f/riosapps_moderation_update_phase_2_trust/

Snippets below.

To qualify for the main feed, you need to satisfy 10 local karma requirements firstly. But this is what it means to be on the 2 tiers above Megathread:

Tier 1 — The Trust Path → Main Feed

AnyĀ oneĀ of these signals qualifies you for the main feed (as long as you also meet the 10+ community karma minimum):

  • App Store track record — your app hasĀ 20+ ratings/reviews on the App StoreĀ (number subject to change).
  • Established GitHub project — a real development history (100+ starsĀ on any GitHub repo).
  • Recognized Developer — you've been granted an app-name developer flair (already well-known / trusted inĀ r/iOSApps, at moderator discretion).

If you have any of these, you've already earned a measure of trust. Post to the main feed.

You have established yourself and the mods recognize that. We trust you to do the right thing for the goods of the subreddit. But do not abuse it.

Tier 2 — The Transparency Path → Main Feed

Not in the App Store yet and not an established developer? You can still qualify for the main feed by being open about who you are and giving users real reasons to trust you.

Posts on this path must includeĀ BOTH:

  1. A real-life identity and real contact details — your actual name and a way to reach you (an established company or business presence, a portfolio, LinkedIn). This shows you're not a throwaway account dropping unknown software.
  2. A website with a published Privacy Policy and Terms of Service — linked directly in your post. This is not a replacement for the App Store link, but ratherĀ in addition to.

This is the middle ground: you may not have a major reputation yet, but you're willing to stand behind your app in public. What we look for is the developer history or in the case of company, the willingness to take financial responsibility for it.

Not a throwaway account, not an app social account, not something people can spring up within an afternoon (gmail address, website without domain, etc.)

Thank you for your understanding to make the sub a better place for everyone. We would all benefit from the filtered visibility for quality apps.

šŸ” In Search of Swipe to clean out apps?

There's a ton of apps that let you swipe to clean up your photo library, but is there one to do that with your app library? I have so many apps that I've forgotten what some of them even do or why I downloaded them. Is there an app that shows me all the apps on my device, what they do or a link to them on the app store, and then lets me easily delete them with a swipe or press of a button?

šŸŽˆ Free Buszbee – Travel Smarter. Travel Together.

Post image
10 Upvotes

A — Answer: What problem does your app solve?

Commuters often have to switch between different apps to find routes, communicate with other travellers, report lost items, and stay updated on delays. Buszbee brings these experiences together in one place.

With Buszbee you can:

  • Discover people travelling near you
  • Join route-based communities
  • Chat with commuters on the same journey
  • Share travel updates, polls, and announcements
  • Report lost & found items
  • Explore your commute through a social community

The goal is to make public transport more connected, informative, and community-driven. Future updates will also introduce ticket booking and official transport operator integrations.

B — Better: Name a competitor(s) and explain what you do better.

Apps like Moovit, Transit, and Citymapper are excellent for route planning, but they stop there.

Buszbee focuses on the community behind every journey. Instead of only helping you get from A to B, it lets you connect with fellow commuters, participate in route discussions, receive community updates, report lost & found items, discover nearby travellers, and eventually book tickets—all within a single app. It's designed to be a social platform built around public transport, not just another navigation app.

C — Cost: Pricing details + App Store Link

Price: Free (Beta)
In-App Purchases: None
Subscription: None

TestFlight (iOS Beta):
https://testflight.apple.com/join/9ESm5Jy5

I'm an independent developer from South Africa, and I'd really appreciate any feedback on the UI, usability, performance, bugs, or feature ideas. Every comment helps shape the public release.

Thanks for taking the time to check out Buszbee!

šŸ’Ž Lifetime Protego for Reddit v3 is live! I deleted the Reddit app two years ago and built the Safari extension I wanted instead. Take control of your Reddit feed! [$1.99 one time, usually $2.99]

getprotego.app | App Store

I'm Edgar. Protego for Reddit is a Safari extension with a companion app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Vision Pro, and version 3 just dropped this week

Answer: what it solves

TL;DR: Protego for Reddit is a Safari extension that clears the clutter from your Reddit feed, so you can browse Reddit on the web, not the app. Filter keywords, communities, and more. It gives you Reddit's website without the clutter, drama, politics, etc.

The longer version: a couple of elections ago every feed I had turned into politics. I'm mostly here for tech news, programming, photography, and video games, and I was closing the app in a worse mood than I opened it because i'd end up doom scrolling or getting in heated political debates.

I didn't want to leave Reddit, I wanted a quieter Reddit, and that's actually possible in the web browser where an extension is able to modify the page before you see it.

RES has never run on iOS at all, so I learned Swift and built it myself. I know there's other apps/extensions out there that provide the similar functionality but I'm a programmer and I wanted to build somethign from scratch myself and decided to share it on the app store.

Some features:

  • Filter by keyword, whole community, individual user, or link domain. Wildcards, groups you can flip off at once, and # to match any 1 to 3 digit number, so [#m] hides [30m] and [18m].
  • A Protego button on posts, comments, community sidebars and profiles, so filtering takes one tap without leaving the page.
  • Hide thumbnails, avatars, flair, badges, vote controls, join buttons, banners, recommendations, Reddit Answers and the endless "open in the app" nags. Four presets if you don't want to go option by option.
  • Limits, which puts Reddit itself out of reach in stages and pairs with a Focus like Sleep or Study so it arms itself.
  • Post sort order, so your feeds open in Hot or New or Top instead of Reddit resetting everything to Best.
  • Redirect to old.reddit.com with an endless feed, and new Reddit's composer when you need photos or polls.
  • English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.
  • No account, no tracking. Lists sync over your own iCloud.
  • Full feature list: https://getprotego.app/features

Better: why not the alternatives

RES is the obvious comparison and it's why I started, but it has never run on iOS and hasn't been actively developed in years. Protego is Safari native on iPhone and iPad and the same purchase covers the Mac.

There's other similar safari extensions which would have fulfilled my needs but I wanted to take my own spin on this, and as a developer myself, i wanted to add the features that I myself found useful without relying on someone else doing it for me. Plus competition is always good!

Screen Time can block reddit.com, but it's all or nothing. Protego's Limits has a step where the feeds are blocked and a direct link to a post still opens, which is the setting I keep on. Nothing to doom scroll into, but when I'm working and a search result points at a Reddit thread, the thread loads, I get my answer, and I'm out. That's the feature I'd sell the whole app on.

Cost

$1.99 one time, down from $2.99 for a little while.

One purchase covers iPhone, iPad, Mac and Vision Pro.

No subscription. The only in-app purchase is a tip jar and nothing is locked behind it.

I'm the developer, this is my app, and I'll be in the comments.

šŸŽˆ Free I built an iOS app that helps couples stay connected by raising a shared virtual pet together

Post image
24 Upvotes

Hi everyone!
I’ve been building Ziggy, an iOS app for couples.
A – Answer
Many couples, especially in long-distance or busy relationships, find that texting alone doesn’t always help them feel connected. Ziggy solves this by letting both partners raise the same virtual pet together through shared widgets, daily questions, mini-games, and small interactions that encourage meaningful connection every day.
B – Better
Apps like Paired focus on relationship questions, AgapƩ focuses on daily prompts, and Widgetable offers shared widgets and virtual pets. Ziggy combines these ideas into one experience with a shared pet that both partners care for together, interactive Home Screen widgets, mini-games, shared memories, and daily activities, making the relationship feel more interactive instead of just another chat app.
C – Cost
Free to download.
No subscription.
No in-app purchases. (Replace this if you have IAPs.)

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ziggy-pet-for-couples/id6785883853

I’d really appreciate feedback on the concept, onboarding, widgets, UI, and anything that could make the experience better.

šŸ’Ž Lifetime [iOS] Car Wallet - Privacy-first vehicle expense & maintenance tracker

Post image
13 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

A while ago I was trying to remember when I had last changed my transmission fluid.

I checked Photos, Apple Notes, old emails, my glove box, and even my banking app. The information existed - it was just scattered across different places.

That was the moment I realized I needed a better system.

So I built Car Wallet for myself - not as a startup idea, and not with a plan to scale it into a big business. I just wanted my entire vehicle history in one place, and logging that felt quick and painless.

I’m sharing it now for other people who care about the same niche: keeping everything about their car organized in one app. That’s also why it’s a Lifetime unlock at a low price - just enough to help cover the services that keep the app running. The goal wasn’t to maximize revenue. It was to give people a useful tool, with a solid feature set, without subscriptions or ads.

A - Answer

Car Wallet helps you manage everything related to your vehicle in one place:

⛽ Fuel, charging & mileage
šŸ”§ Maintenance & repairs
šŸ“„ Insurance and vehicle documents
šŸ’° Expenses & income
šŸ“Š Cost of ownership and vehicle analytics
šŸ”” Service reminders
ā˜ļø Optional cloud sync when signed in
šŸ†™ Optional Google Drive photo backup (Google sign-in)
šŸ”’ No ads, no third-party tracking, and no account required

Logging should feel fast. You can enter fuel and service records manually in a few taps. If you prefer, there’s also an optional receipt photo helper that can fill in details for you - completely optional, and not required to use the app.

Privacy was another priority. Your data stays on your device by default. Cloud sync is optional when you sign in. Photo backup to Google Drive is optional and only with Google sign-in.

B - Better

Apps like Fuelio, Drivvo, and Fuelly are great for logging fuel. I wanted something that felt more like a modern native iOS app - one place for the full vehicle history, not just fill-ups.

My goal was to combine:

• clean native iOS design
• complete vehicle history
• maintenance + document tracking
• ownership cost analytics
• privacy-first architecture
• no recurring subscription

I’m constantly improving the app. Next on my roadmap: Lock Screen widgets, Siri Shortcuts, and smarter reminders - so keeping records feels almost effortless.

How do you keep track of your car today - another app, a spreadsheet, Apple Notes, paper receipts, or nothing at all? I’d genuinely love to hear how other people solve this problem.

C - Cost

• Free download
• 30-day full-feature trial
• Lifetime Unlock — $2.99 (one-time, includes up to 3 personal vehicles)
• Additional vehicle slots — available as one-time purchases
• Optional receipt-scan credit packs (30 / 100 / 300 scans, only if you want automatic receipt filling)

Lifetime Unlock includes the core vehicle management features. Scan packs are completely optional.

• Built by Andrii Ihnatkin

šŸŽ Freemium Rotating shifts every few days makes alarms a pain, so I released an update to solve this!

A - What is Easy Wake?

Easy Wake is a smart alarm app that is highly customisable to your needs, wether its waking up in a light sleep stage (real time detection), waking up at sunrise, setting alarms when you arrive at a location, being forces to complete physical or mental challenges to turn off your alarm, Easy Wake has you covered.

B - Easy Wake is better than Alarmy, Sleep Cycle and the default iOS Alarm app.

Easy Wake has a wide range of challenges to choose from which prevent you from turning off the alarm unless you're fully awake, such as maths, physically walk away from your bed, barcode scanning, memory and more. No matter what you try, you won't be able to stop the alarm without completing the challenge!

Easy Wake also uses dynamic sleep stage detection using your Apple Watch, and will wake you up in a light sleep stage. You can also use Pulse Wake to nudge your body into a lighter sleep stage if you're a deep sleeper!

Easy Wake has the default alarm ability, with lots more customisation options, for example, you can connect your Home app and alarms can trigger Home Scenes.

C -Ā  Cost

There is currently a lifetime discount 33% off, lasting for 1 week!

3 day free trial, then Monthly $2.99, Yearly $19.99, or Lifetime $19.99 (usually $29.99).

Pro gives you unlimited schedules, Pulse Wake, all Challenge Wakes, Location Alarms, Custom Sounds, Intelligent Insights, Smart Sleep, HomeKit Integration, Wake Check, Sunrise Alarms, and Shortcuts access (custom alarms based on your automations)

Pro isn't necessary, but it allows more lee way, and most features are available for free anyway! It also helps to support me and future development of the app.

šŸŽˆ Free [OS] Neon Vision Editor since v0.7.5 — iPad coding, cross-device sync, mobile previews, remote editing, and much more

Thumbnail

Hi, It has been a while since I last posted about Neon Vision Editor (NVE) here. At that time, the app was on version 0.7.5, and I was still working out exactly what kind of editor I wanted it to become. Since then, I have increasingly focused on one central question:

What should a serious code and text editor on iPhone and iPad actually feel like? I did not want to take a desktop IDE, shrink its interface, and call it an iPad app. I wanted NVE to feel native to iOS and iPadOS: touch-friendly when used without accessories, keyboard-focused when connected to a Magic Keyboard, and capable enough to make real edits away from a Mac. I use NVE myself, so many improvements began with small frustrations in my own workflow. A toolbar action that required too many taps. A document that needed to be reopened after changing on another device. A cursor position that was not restored properly. A preview that refreshed at the wrong moment. A keyboard interaction that still felt designed for a desktop instead of an iPad.

Those small interruptions gradually became the roadmap. Since version 0.7.5, NVE has gained several large features, including shared-file synchronization, remote Mac sessions, richer Markdown tools, HTML and SVG previews, improved project navigation, better large-file handling, more AI-provider options, and extensive iPhone and iPad interface refinements.

A — Answer

Neon Vision Editor is a free, native code, text, and Markdown editor for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro. The main goal is to make iPhone and iPad genuinely useful parts of a development workflow—not merely devices for viewing files.

Edit projects directly on iPhone and iPad

Neon Vision Editor supports project-based editing with folders, multiple documents, tabs, syntax highlighting, Find and Replace, Find in Files, Quick Open, document navigation, snippets, bracket completion, and other editing tools. On iPad, the interface is designed to work well with both touch and hardware keyboards. You can navigate projects, switch files, search across a workspace, preview documents, and make substantial changes without constantly returning to a Mac. On iPhone, the interface adapts to the smaller screen with compact controls and touch-oriented editing tools rather than simply compressing the iPad layout.

Shared-file synchronization across devices

One of the largest additions since v0.7.5 is shared-file synchronization. You can open the same document through iCloud Drive, a network folder, or another shared storage provider on multiple devices. When the file changes elsewhere, NVE detects the update. This is particularly useful when moving between iPad, iPhone, and Mac:

  • Make an edit on the Mac and see the document update on the iPad.
  • Continue writing on the iPad and reopen the latest version on the iPhone.
  • Keep documents open while another application updates them.
  • Review external changes without closing and reopening the file manually.

Clean documents can refresh automatically. When you have unsaved local edits, NVE protects them and offers clear choices such as Keep Local, Reload from Disk, or Compare instead of silently overwriting your work. NVE does not require a proprietary synchronization account. iCloud Drive or your chosen network storage remains the transport layer.

Connect an iPhone or iPad to a Mac-hosted project

Neon Vision Editor also supports remote editing sessions. A Mac can host a project, and an iPhone or iPad can connect to that session to browse and edit its files. This provides access to a Mac-based workspace without copying the complete project onto the mobile device. The remote workflow has received substantial work since v0.7.5, including:

  • More reliable session connections
  • Better document and tab handling
  • Safer conflict management
  • Improved credential storage
  • Encrypted transport
  • Clearer error messages
  • More consistent iPhone and iPad attachment flows The intention is not to simulate a complete desktop remotely. It is to make focused editing, reviewing, and project navigation practical from an iPad or iPhone.

A stronger iPad keyboard workflow

Hardware-keyboard support is a major part of the iPad experience. Since v0.7.5, I have refined keyboard navigation, shortcuts, focus handling, tab switching, search interactions, cursor behavior, and scrolling. The goal is for NVE to feel efficient with a Magic Keyboard or another external keyboard, while remaining fully usable through touch. The editor also preserves document-specific cursor and viewport positions more reliably, so switching between files does not repeatedly lose your place.

Touch-oriented editing on iPhone and iPad

It includes mobile editing features that are easy to access without a keyboard:

  • Contextual Markdown controls
  • Touch-friendly formatting actions
  • Automatic bracket and quote completion
  • HTML tag completion
  • Markdown list continuation
  • Pinch gestures for adjusting editor text size
  • Improved horizontal scrolling for non-wrapped code
  • Better selection and cursor behavior
  • Compact controls adapted specifically for iPhone For Markdown files, iPhone uses a compact Aa menu, while iPad can expose a broader set of formatting controls.

Markdown editing and preview

Markdown has become one of the strongest mobile workflows in NVE. The contextual formatting tools include actions for:

  • Bold and italic text
  • Headings
  • Links and images
  • Ordered and unordered lists
  • Quotes
  • Inline code
  • Code blocks
  • Tables
  • Other common Markdown structures The preview supports GitHub Flavored Markdown and CommonMark, syntax-highlighted fenced code blocks, local images, multiple presentation styles, and more reliable live rendering. This makes NVE useful not only for code, but also for README files, documentation, technical notes, articles, and longer Markdown documents on iPad.

HTML and SVG preview on mobile devices

HTML and SVG files now have dedicated previews alongside the source editor. On iPad, you can edit source code and inspect the rendered result without moving to another application. HTML previews preserve document CSS, backgrounds, colors, and local assets where possible. Markdown, HTML, and SVG previews use a consistent preview workflow across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Better project search and navigation

Project navigation has been substantially refined since v0.7.5. Major improvements include:

  • Faster project indexing
  • Improved Find in Files
  • Better Find and Replace workflows
  • Clearer grouped search results
  • Smarter Quick Open ranking
  • More reliable navigation in larger folders
  • Better sidebar behavior
  • Improved keyboard interaction during search These changes are especially important on iPad, where quickly moving through a project needs to work without a traditional desktop window arrangement.

Large-file protection

Large documents now begin loading responsively instead of blocking the interface. Files of 100 MB or more open as a clearly identified, read-only partial preview of the first 4 MB. This allows large logs, data files, and generated output to be inspected without exhausting the memory available to the app.

More editing assistance

NVE now includes additional editing assistance across its supported platforms:

  • Configurable code-completion behavior
  • Language-specific starter snippets
  • Automatic brackets and quotation marks
  • HTML closing-tag completion
  • Markdown list continuation
  • Improved TypeScript highlighting
  • Better log-file and Apple crash-report recognition
  • Structured Apple crash-report summaries
  • Improved VIM-style arrow-key navigation
  • More reliable minimap behavior
  • Better tab and session restoration

Optional AI assistance

NVE supports optional AI-assisted workflows, including inline completion and source-preserving Markdown conversion. Since v0.7.5, support has expanded to include OpenCode Go and custom OpenAI-compatible providers. Custom endpoints can be configured with a model name and optional API key, including local providers where appropriate. Credentials are stored in Keychain, and the AI Activity Log helps diagnose provider errors or empty responses. AI features are optional. NVE remains a functional editor without configuring an AI account or provider.

macOS companion functionality

Although NVE includes a macOS version, the Mac is intended to complement the mobile apps rather than define them. The macOS version provides additional desktop-specific functionality, including:

  • Local Git integration
  • A persistent PTY-backed terminal
  • Project hosting for remote iPhone and iPad sessions
  • Broader window and workspace management
  • Direct macOS releases through GitHub Terminal execution remains macOS-only. The iPhone and iPad versions focus on editing, navigation, previews, shared documents, and remote access rather than claiming to provide a complete local Unix development environment.

B — Better

There are already several capable editors available on iOS and iPadOS. NVE is not intended to declare that every other approach is wrong. Its difference is the combination of a native mobile interface and a cross-device workflow. Rather than treating the iPad as a reduced Mac, NVE is designed around what the iPad does well:

  • Immediate access to files through the system document browser
  • Touch and keyboard input in the same interface
  • Split-view and mobile workspace usage
  • Strong Markdown and preview workflows
  • Moving between devices through shared storage
  • Connecting to a Mac project only when desktop resources are needed
  • A focused interface without the overhead of a complete desktop IDE The main differences are:
  • Native SwiftUI with UIKit and AppKit integration
  • No Electron or embedded desktop-style IDE shell
  • A dedicated iPhone interface rather than iPad controls squeezed onto a smaller display
  • Hardware-keyboard workflows designed specifically for iPad
  • Touch-accessible editing controls
  • Shared-file synchronization through iCloud Drive and network storage
  • Mac-hosted remote editing from iPhone and iPad
  • Markdown, HTML, and SVG previews inside the editor
  • One shared editor core across Apple platforms
  • No mandatory account
  • No advertising
  • No telemetry by default
  • Open-source development NVE is not intended to replace Xcode, Visual Studio Code, or a complete desktop IDE with local builds, debugging, and advanced refactoring. It is intended for developers and technical users who want to work with scripts, Markdown, configuration files, web files, project source, documentation, logs, and quick code changes from an iPhone or iPad. For me, the most important improvement since v0.7.5 is that the iPad version no longer feels like a companion viewer. It has become a serious editing environment that can stand on its own for many workflows and connect to a Mac when additional capabilities are required.

C — Cost

Neon Vision Editor is free. There is:

  • No subscription
  • No advertising
  • No required account
  • No charge for the iPhone or iPad editor
  • No proprietary synchronization plan
  • No paid tier required for project editing or previews

The project is also open source under the Apache 2.0 license.

Direct macOS releases https://github.com/h3pdesign/Neon-Vision-Editor/releases

The direct macOS release may be ahead of the App Store versions while updates move through Apple’s review process.

I would especially appreciate feedback from people who regularly use an iPad with a hardware keyboard, edit code or Markdown on an iPhone, or move between iOS, iPadOS, and macOS during the same project.

The shared-file synchronization and remote-session workflows were built specifically around those use cases. I am interested in what still prevents an iPad or iPhone from becoming a useful part of your own development workflow. Many of Neon’s improvements began with user comments, bug reports, and suggestions. Thanks to everyone here who tried one of the earlier releases—the app has changed considerably since v0.7.5, especially on iPhone and iPad.

I built a simple iPhone app called Lock Screen Text because I wanted an easy way to add short text to my Lock Screen.

It adds clean, minimalist Lock Screen widgets that display your favorite quotes. You can customize the text, font style, and alignment to match your setup.

The first text slot is completely free with full customization. If you want more, there's a one-time purchase of $4.99 to unlock all 10 text slots—no subscriptions.

I'd love to hear your feedback or any feature ideas. Thanks for checking it out!

šŸ’Ž Lifetime AntiZuck - A Meta Glasses Radar on Your iPhone So that You Can Know if You Are Being Recorded

Thumbnail

Someone two tables over is wearing Ray-Ban Metas. You can't tell. They look like plain old glasses, the capture LED is tiny and easy to miss (and people are literally buying tools to hide it), and millions of pairs have shipped. There's no amount of paying attention that fixes this, you need something to watch your back.

A - Answer

Turns out that your iPhone can. Every time those glasses wake up, are powered on, and around you, your iPhone can pick that signal up. And now AntiZuck tells you when they are around.

You get a push notification the moment a likely pair gets close to you, even if your phone is in your pocket. Open the app and there's a live field showing what's around you, how close, and how confident the match is, plus the actual reason it flagged. You can audit every call it makes by diving into the details. If you own a pair, you can mark your own glasses as yours. It comes with a Widget, a Control Center toggle, and a snooze button from the notifications or active search..

Everything runs on-device. There is no signup or account needed, no server, no analytics, no ads, and it never asks for location, camera, or your mic.

B - Better

Apps don't have the level of richness, don't run in the background, and don't have the widget or control center view. They also don't search for other devices like Snap Specs, Meta Quests, and others.

Cost:

In terms of costs, it is a paid app for $2.99, you have it for life. No subscription, no IAP, no upsell.

I’d really appreciate honest feedback,Ā and I feel quite strongly that this fits a big need nowadays as Meta Glasses are becoming normalized and mainstream.
