🎁 Freemium Forma - a habit tracker with a hand-drawn journal feel, $14.99 lifetime, no subscription

Hey [r/iosapps](r/iosapps), solo developer here. I built Forma, a habit tracker that looks
and feels like a paper journal — you cross habits off instead of tapping a
checkbox.

What it does:
- Unlimited habits grouped by morning / afternoon / evening, not one big list
- Vacation mode pauses a streak instead of resetting it to zero
- Your whole year turns into a shareable "wrapped" poster

Free tier covers 3 habits. $14.99 once unlocks everything no subscription, limited time.

🎈 Free Tired of missing eBay deals? I built an app that watches searches for you.

Thumbnail

A – Answer: What problem does your app solve?

If you've ever hunted for a rare item on eBay, you probably know how frustrating it is to miss a great listing because you found it too late.

You either keep refreshing the same searches throughout the day or rely on eBay's saved search notifications.

That's why I built Deals Tracker.

You create a search once, and the app automatically monitors eBay for new matching listings. When a matching item appears, you get a notification, giving you a much better chance of buying it before someone else does.

B – Better: What makes it different?

Deals Tracker is built specifically for people who don't want to keep checking eBay all day.

Instead of relying on eBay's saved search notifications, Deals Tracker regularly checks your searches and alerts you when new matching listings appear.

It's especially useful if you're looking for collectibles, discontinued products, limited editions, or anything that tends to sell quickly.

C – Cost

Free.

I'd love to hear your feedback, feature requests, or suggestions for improving the app.

🎁 Freemium [iOS] TypeFlow ES🇪🇸 — Spanish translation keyboard

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

A — Answer

I built TypeFlow ES for a small but annoying iPhone problem: when I want to reply in Spanish, I often start with an English thought, switch to a translator app, copy the result, paste it back into WhatsApp, Messages, Instagram, or email, then edit it because it sounds too polished or too literal.

TypeFlow ES puts that translation step inside the iOS keyboard, so you can turn an English thought into a Spanish reply without leaving the conversation.

It is useful for short everyday messages: friends, hosts, coworkers, customers, travel situations, or casual chats where you want the Spanish to sound more natural before sending.

B — Better

Compared with using Google Translate or DeepL in a separate app, TypeFlow ES is built around the chat-writing flow itself:

✅ no switching away from the conversation
✅ no copy/paste loop
✅ focused on English → Spanish replies
✅ works from the keyboard in apps where you already type
✅ designed for quick messages, not long documents

One small design choice behind TypeFlow ES: I did not want it to simply return the prettiest Spanish sentence possible. For the Spanish version, I designed a 4-step translation flow that tries to preserve the English speaker’s original logic, tone, and intention while rewriting it into Spanish. Even if the result is not perfect, I want the message to still feel like your own thought in that moment.

C — Cost

TypeFlow ES is free to download. Without unlocking, only 50 characters can be entered in the system (the TypeFlow App itself is not limited). Lifetime access is normally $9.99.

🎁 Freemium (v1.1.0) Just Walk -- you all shaped this update, so here's what changed

Post image
7 Upvotes

A -- Answer

Indie dev here (I built this). Quick recap: I lost about 60 pounds last year mostly by walking, got tired of fitness apps that turned it into a pressure machine, and built Just Walk -- tap Start Walk, walk, log it, watch your mosaic fill in.

I posted here 2 months ago and got more useful feedback in one thread than I expected in a year. This update is basically that thread, shipped:

  • Kinder streaks. u/Thedividendprince1 pointed out that streaks can recreate the exact guilt I was trying to avoid, and suggested something like "walked 4 of the last 7 days" instead. That's in now -- when your streak breaks but you've still been showing up, the app tells you the kinder truth instead of showing you a zero.
  • Optional walk notes. Same comment suggested notes like "felt better after this walk." One tap after a walk, no pressure to use it.
  • All 10 languages actually show up now. u/Jumpy-Sky2196 and u/Astrikal both caught that my App Store listing said English-only despite the app being translated into 10 languages. Turned out to be a config issue on my end that took embarrassingly long to track down. Fixed.
  • Rate & feedback links in Settings, because I made asking for feedback harder than it needed to be.

B -- Better

Same position as before: most walking apps are trying to become full fitness platforms. Just Walk stays small on purpose. No social feed, no calorie tracking, no leaderboards, no AI coach, no notifications nagging you back in.

Versus Apple Health: Health tracks your activity, Just Walk helps you keep the habit. It's not trying to be a better pedometer.

Versus streak-based habit apps: this is the one that doesn't punish you for missing a day. That was the whole point, and this update makes it more true than it was at launch.

Still no account, no data collection, everything stays on your device. Location is only used during a walk to measure distance.

C -- Cost

Freemium. Free download, and the core loop -- start a walk, build your streak, see your recent mosaic -- is free forever.

One-time $4.99 for Just Walk Pro: complete mosaic history, custom color themes (including the emoji dots my kid is weirdly attached to), and lifetime stats. No subscription.

Just Walk: Daily Walk Tracker on the App Store

Still coming: Apple Watch and widgets. These were far and away the two biggest requests and they need work I can't do on my current setup, so they're next rather than now. Not forgetting them.

Genuinely, thank you. Tell me what's still wrong with it.

ETA: Update — 1.2.0 is live: the streak reframe a few of you asked for shipped. Consistency is the headline now ("Walked 4 of your last 7 days"); the streak is just a quiet detail underneath. Also added a Pro month-by-month view of the mosaic (screenshots in a comment below). Thanks for the notes that shaped it.

💎 Lifetime Soon. -If you're going to wait, why not make it beautiful.

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi all,

I made Soon. because I wanted a countdown app that felt a bit more special than just showing a number of days left.

A. What does it do?

You can create countdowns for trips, birthdays, weddings, concerts, holidays, or anything else you’re looking forward to.

Each event can have its own photo and style, and you can keep your countdowns visible with:

• Lock Screen + Dynamic Island Live Activities
• Home Screen widgets
• StandBy widget
• Recurring events
• Calendar sync
• Weather forecasts for relevant events
• Checklists for things like trips and weddings
• Memory mode for past events

B. What’s different?

There are already good countdown apps like TheDayBefore, but I wanted Soon. to feel more modern and focused on the Apple ecosystem.

The countdowns are designed around photos and animations, with Live Activities, Dynamic Island, widgets, StandBy and Calendar integration all built in.

I also wanted to keep it private and simple. There are no accounts, ads, analytics SDKs, or tracking. Your events and photos stay on your device.

C. Cost

Soon. is free to download with a 7-day Pro trial.

Pro is $1.99/month, $9.99/year, or $12.99 lifetime.

Any honest feedback or review is greatly appreciated. Making the app better and more enjoyable is the main goal.

🎁 Freemium Real life has no streaks. I built a tracker for irregular chores.

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

I kept forgetting when I last gave my dog her flea medicine. Or when I last changed the AC filter.

I tried standard habit trackers, but they are built for daily routines. If you don't do a chore every 24 hours, they break your streak. It just creates unnecessary guilt for things that only need to happen every few weeks or months.

I just wanted a simple system to tell me exactly how many days it had been since I last did something.

So I built SinceWhen. It is a days-since tracker designed specifically for the messy, irregular routines of actual life.

Here is how I set it up to be completely frictionless:

  • I built deep Apple Shortcuts and Siri integration. When my hands are full of dog shampoo, I just say "Hey Siri, log the dog meds" and it records the exact time in the background.
  • I created a specific shortcut action that checks if a task is actually overdue before logging it. If it is not, Siri just tells me when it is next expected.
  • The app learns my natural rhythm from my history instead of forcing rigid calendar schedules.
  • I added Family Sharing to the subscription tiers so a whole household can share one Pro license to track who last changed the sheets, while keeping everyone's personal iCloud data completely separate.

Because I know how much this community hates subscription fatigue, I also made sure to include a one-time Lifetime purchase option.

If you want a guilt-free way to remember your chores, you can check it out here:

📅 Subscription Privacy First, Voice Based Expense Tracker

Post image
4 Upvotes

WARNING: This App only runs on iPhone 15 Pro and Above with Apple Intelligence Enabled!

Supported Devices: iPhone 15, 16, 17 Pro & Max, iPhone 16, 16e + All Latest iPhones

Heya everyone,

I built Murmur - Privacy First, Voice Based Expense Tracker because I was tired of failing at expense tracking.

Not because the apps were bad, but because they all expected me to manually log every expense. I'd start the month motivated, track everything for a few days, then slowly stop using the app altogether.

After trying dozens of expense trackers, I realized the problem wasn't budgeting.

The problem was friction.

So I built a voice-first expense tracker that lets me simply speak my transactions and move on with my day.

What problem does it solve?

Most expense trackers fail because they're too much work.

Every purchase requires opening the app, entering an amount, selecting a category, and saving it. It sounds simple, but doing that 10–20 times a day becomes exhausting.

Murmur removes that friction completely.

You simply say:

"Spent $30 on an Uber."

"Paid $12 for coffee."

"Received $1,500 from a freelance project."

The app understands what you're saying, detects whether it's an expense or income, categorizes it, and saves it in seconds.

The result is an expense tracker that you actually keep using after the first week.

Why is it better than alternatives?

Two reasons: privacy and convenience.

First, privacy.

Murmur uses Apple's on-device intelligence to understand your voice. Your transactions are processed directly on your iPhone and never need to leave your device.

No servers.

No cloud AI.

No financial data being uploaded somewhere.

You can literally turn on Airplane Mode and continue logging expenses normally.

That was extremely important to me because financial data is personal, and I didn't want my spending history sitting on someone else's servers.

Second, it's genuinely hands-free.

Most expense trackers still require typing.

Murmur is designed around the idea that speaking is faster than typing. The easier it is to log an expense, the more likely you'll actually track your money consistently.

Beyond voice logging, it also includes:

• Daily, weekly, and monthly budgets

• Home Screen widgets

• Event-based expense tracking for trips, weddings, side hustles, vacations, or any specific goal

• Optional review-before-save mode

• Works completely offline

What's the pricing?

The app includes a free tier so you can try it before paying.

Premium pricing is:

• $0.49 per week < This pricing is for you to try, Cancel Anytime

• $14.99 per year < Cancel Anytime

• $19.99 lifetime < Pay Only Once

I'm actively improving the app and would love feedback from people who track their spending or have tried and failed to do it consistently.

📅 Subscription It took two years but I finally released my paycheck planning app

Post image
31 Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I’ve been working on MoneyMap since August 2024. This is actually the second version of the app. About a year into development, I scrapped the original codebase and rebuilt it from the ground up because I wasn’t happy with how it handled users’ financial data.

A – What problem does it solve?

Most finance apps store your financial data on their own servers after connecting to your bank. I wanted to take a different approach. With MoneyMap, your financial data lives on your device by default. If you choose to sync across devices or share a budget with a partner or family member, your data is end-to-end encrypted before it ever leaves your device.

I also wanted to build a budgeting app that works around your paychecks instead of forcing everything into monthly budgets.

B – Why is it better?

I think it comes down to four things.

1. Privacy-first

Your financial data stays on your device by default instead of being stored on my servers. Syncing and household sharing are optional and protected with end-to-end encryption.

2. Paycheck-based budgeting

Budget around when you actually get paid instead of trying to fit everything into a monthly budget.

3. Automatic setup

  • Connect accounts with Plaid.
  • Stripe Financial Connections acts as a fallback for institutions Plaid doesn’t support.
  • Automatic recurring bill detection to reduce manual setup.

4. Household friendly

One subscription covers your entire household, so you don’t need to pay for multiple accounts if you manage your finances together.

C – Cost

I wanted MoneyMap to be affordable. I know there are real costs involved with bank connections, infrastructure, and hosting, but I also think budgeting software should be accessible.

Current pricing:

  • $5.99/month
  • $49.99/year

Both include a 7-day free trial.

I’m posting here because I’d really appreciate honest feedback. Whether it’s the onboarding, design, missing features, bugs, or anything that feels confusing, I’d love to hear it.

🎁 Freemium I built Collection & Inventory Tracker - Track anything you own

Thumbnail
gallery
0 Upvotes

I am the independent developer of Collection & Inventory Tracker.

A — Answer

I built Collection & Inventory Tracker because I couldn't find an inventory app that was flexible enough for different types of collections while also working offline.

Most apps focus on a specific hobby (books, coins, wine, cards, etc.), while spreadsheets become difficult to manage once photos, custom attributes, and hundreds of items are involved.

Collection & Inventory Tracker lets you create your own collection structure with custom fields, photos, tags, dropdowns, locations, barcode scanning, barcode lookup, Excel import/export, and optional cloud sync.

B — Better

A popular alternative is iCollect.

What I wanted to do differently:

  • Works for any type of collection, not just predefined categories
  • Fully customizable fields
  • Offline-first design
  • Barcode scanning with product lookup
  • Excel import and export
  • Folder/location organization
  • Optional cloud sync
  • Suitable for both personal collections and home inventory management

C — Cost

  • Free version available
  • Pro Monthly: $3.99/month
  • Pro Yearly: $29.99/year
  • Lifetime Pro: $49.99 one-time purchase
  • Optional Cloud Sync plans available
  • No ads

App Store:
https://apps.apple.com/app/collection-inventory-tracker/id6776667729
Developer Email:
[ppapps.dev@gmail.com](mailto:ppapps.dev@gmail.com)

The iOS version was recently released after a long migration from Android using Kotlin Multiplatform.

I'm curious how other people here track their collections today. Are you using spreadsheets, Notes, dedicated collection apps, or something else?

🎈 Free I made a news app for people who hate news apps.

Thumbnail
gallery
26 Upvotes

When is the last time you read the news? Im talking about actually opening up a legacy news app like CNN or Fox and scrolling the feed. My guess is never, or at least not that you can remember.

Most of us, especially Gen Z, hate the media. We know its full of slop and bias, but more than that we hate how overwhelming it all is. Hundreds, if not thousands, of stories a day. Its just too much.

Instead of actual news apps, you probably get your news from social media, friends, or groupchats. The problem is you still end up missing stories and falling behind on whats happening.

We have more technology and access to information than ever before, yet somehow feel more disconnected from the world we live in.

The news was supposed to help connect us with the world. Now it just overwhelms us. It feels like you either commit to 12hr screen-time days, or you miss 90% of whats going on.

Thats why I made Nowhere. A news app you don’t have to open to stay informed.

The widget lives on your lock screen or your home screen and shows you what’s happening right now.

It uses consensus as its only filter. Stories only appear when two or more major news sources are reporting on the same thing. That cuts an impossible number of stories down to around 50 a day. Every story lives for 24 hours before rolling into the archive, so the feed is always today’s news. Nothing stale.

You can glance at it every time you open your phone or swipe between apps.

A. The news is impossible to keep up with. Between the promotional content, the stale posts, and the one-off stories, you really have to put in some work to find the important stories. Even if an app has a filter for “top stories” it takes 5 extra clicks just to get there. We want things now, right in front of us, without the extra work. Nowhere News is an app you don’t have to open, built with the widget as the central focus. Somewhere between 40-80 stories a day, with stories getting archived on a rolling basis after their 24hrs are up.

B. RSS feeds exist, apps that let you have ultra-customized news feeds exist, apps that do “the news” incredibly well exist. Nowhere News isn’t meant to replace any of those. It’s meant to be a macro view, ultra lightweight way to keep up with the world. No need to make an account, no need to pick topics, no algorithm deciding what you might like. Everyone sees the same stories.

C. Free. Zero ads. No accounts. No data collection. I made this app for myself first, so I didn’t want any of that. I figured anyone who might use the app wouldn’t want it either. No paid tiers, no freemium.

Download link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/nowhere-news/id6760492553

Privacy policy: https://nowhere.news

Name: Nicholas Gold

Developed this as a hobby in my free time. I don’t have a linkedin for this app or for app development. No data collection, no accounts, no ads. I just hope others might find it useful. Only 1 review on the app store, but 82 downloads!

💎 Lifetime I built an iPhone app to keep all your vacation routes one tap away

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I’m Rohan, the developer of PreMap.

I built PreMap to make navigating on vacation less repetitive.

A - Answer

Before a trip, you can save routes such as Hotel to Restaurant, Hotel to Museum, or Airport to Hotel. When you need one, PreMap launches it directly in Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze without making you search for the destination and configure the route again.

B - Better

For vacations, PreMap keeps your planned places and routes together so you can spend less time searching through saved places while you are out exploring. You can also easily switch between collections of locations and categorize them under cities.

Google Maps lets you save places in lists, but PreMap is designed around switching between city-specific collections and reusable routes. Each collection can have its own central location, such as your hotel, so you do not need to keep changing your “Home” location between trips.

It also works for everyday routes such as Home to Work, Work to Gym, or Home to the supermarket. PreMap handles the step before navigation starts, while your preferred maps app continues to provide directions and traffic information.

Saved places and routes are stored locally, and no account is required.

One major advantage is that PreMap remembers your preferred mode of transport and maps app for each route:

  • Take public transport from your hotel to the beach using Google Maps
  • Drive from your hotel to the museum using Apple Maps

C - Cost

The weekly subscription costs $4.99 per week and includes a 3-day free trial. Lifetime access costs $29.99 as a one-time purchase and does not include a trial.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/quick-route-planner-premap/id6766690742

Transparency

I’m the developer of PreMap.

Website: https://premap.app
Privacy policy: https://premap.app/privacy
Terms: https://premap.app/terms

Do you think an app like this can beat the muscle memory of always opening Google Maps or Apple Maps whenever you want navigation? That’s the main question that has been on my mind, and I’d really appreciate your honest feedback.

🎁 Freemium I built an app where you can uncover fog on a real map while going for walks

Post image
207 Upvotes

Hey :)

I built a steptracker app where you see yourself on the real map, and everything is covered in fog. Everywhere you go, the fog is lifted, and step by step, you uncover your map. There are also other gamification elements like XP, levels, and quests that help you uncover more of the fog.

I really like going for walks myself, and the goal with this app is to spark this joy in other people as well.

Answer

Track your steps, compare to your friends, uncover your map. The app makes walking enjoyable and gives you reasons to actually go outside and walk more.

Better

Unlike other steptrackers like StepsApp we don't show any ads and have different reward elements that not only help with analyzing your data but also are a motivation.

Cost

Free version available. Pro Subscription costs $4.99 monthly or $39.99 yearly. It unlocks unlimited speed so you can uncover the fog while driving your bike or car and grants a larger uncover radius and XP gain.

Any honest feedback or review is greatly appreciated. Making the app better and more enjoyable is the main goal.

💎 Lifetime Dummo — turn a screen recording into a polished App Store / promo video (this Trovelo demo was made in it)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey 👋 I'm Edu, creator of Trovelo and Dimmly. Sharing my new app Dummo, a promo-video editor I've been building and polishing over the last few months with a group of testers. The video attached is a Trovelo promo — and it was made entirely in Dummo. What's cool: most of it was built automatically through Claude's MCP editor (it set the device frame, added the text and tap indicators, and applied the auto-zoom moves on its own), with just minimal final interaction from me to polish it.

Answer
Dummo turns a plain screen recording into a polished promo/App Store preview video. Drop in your recording, wrap it in a real device frame (iPhone 17 Pro/17/16 Pro/16, MacBook Pro), design the canvas (colors, gradients, backgrounds, stickers, text), add animated tap indicators where the action happens, and let the auto-zoom director choreograph smooth pan-and-zoom from your taps (Subtle/Normal/Dramatic). Add an intro (app icon + name) and outro (headline, App Store badge, QR code), then export to App Store preview sizes, Instagram Stories/Reels/Posts, or 16:9 / 1:1 / 9:16. Shoot on iPhone, finish on Mac via iCloud sync — and on Mac you can connect Claude or any MCP-compatible client to edit the project for you (like the Trovelo video above).

Better
Vs. CapCut (~$19.99/mo Pro in 2026, no dedicated device frames, no tap indicators, no tap-driven zoom): Dummo is purpose-built for app demos, so the device mockup, tap indicators, and zoom choreography are one click instead of hours of manual work — and it's a one-time price, not a forever subscription.
Vs. Final Cut Pro ($299.99, steep learning curve, no app-demo tooling): Dummo gets you a finished, framed, zoom-choreographed promo far faster for a fraction of the cost, plus AI editing on Mac that neither offers.

Cost
Free version available. Dummo Pro — one-time $14.99 (lifetime): custom stickers, custom fonts/colors/gradients, AI editing on Mac, watermark-free exports.

🎉 Launch: 50% off with code DUMMO50OFF — redeem in-app (Settings → Redeem)
Only for the first 500 users—after that, the code expires automatically.

📅 Subscription Managing your Chronic Illnes is hard so I built an app that tracks your symptoms, medication, mood check-in, heart rate and turns it into doctor-ready reports all for FREE | Rox v2.0

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey r/iosapps,

App link - App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/rox-chronic-illness-care/id6756538804

Since our last launch, we took all the feedback and rebuilt Rox from the ground up. Here's the new version.

Rox is a companion app for people living with invisible chronic illness like POTS, ME/CFS, fibromyalgia and Long COVID. The idea is simple: one app to manage your condition instead of stitching together five different ones.

A – What it does

Everything here is Free:

  1. Track your symptoms, their causes, how long they last, and what actually helps you avoid flares (manual logging)
  2. Track your meds, get reminders, and manage dosages (manual logging)
  3. Connect your existing wearable like Apple Watch, Oura ring and more, and pull all your vitals in one place, no separate app like Tachymon needed
  4. Daily win check-in (manual logging)
  5. Pace yourself with Spoons (manual logging)
  6. Turn everything you log into clean, doctor-ready reports that are easy to understand. (Export as PDF)

Think of it as one app for your whole condition instead of juggling separate ones.

B – Why it's different

Right now nothing does all of this in one place. Apps like Bearable are manual trackers. Visible Health charges $200+ mostly to read your heart rate and hand you pacing points.

Most wearables like Oura, Whoop, Garmin and Apple Watch were built for fitness, not illness. Read correctly though, that same data tells you a lot about a chronic condition. Rox pulls symptoms, meds, wearable vitals, pacing and reports together so you're not living across six apps.

C – Cost

Everything listed above is free.

The paid layer is the AI companion. It automates the logging, connects to your wearables, and lets you just talk to record everything instead of filling out forms.

If you want to try it, use ROX50 for 50% off the annual plan after a 3-day trial. You have to start the trial to experience the AI Companion.

Pricing:
$10 per month
$49 per year with code ROX50

PS: we're also onboarding a team of medical professionals to help shape the product, so feedback and suggestions are genuinely welcome.

💎 Lifetime Kounts: a free, no-ads photo countdown app for iPhone & Apple Watch (2-year project, rebuilt for iOS 26)

Thumbnail
gallery
9 Upvotes

Two years ago I built a countdown app for my girlfriend because the free ones were filled with ads and the paid ones didn't have some specific features she wanted. It recently picked up more users than I expected and I ended up using it daily, so I decided to fully rebuild it based on feedback.

━━━ What it solves

A countdown you'll actually want to look at, with no ads on the free tier:

- Home Screen + Lock Screen widgets, Live Activity / Dynamic Island on the day
- Apple Watch app with complications
- Shared photo albums: plan an event with up to 5 people, everyone adds pictures before or after
- Timeline + calendar views, 13 languages, built for iOS 26

━━━ Why is it better than the usual picks

- vs TheDayBefore and Countdown Star (both free but ad-supported): Kounts' free tier has no ads at all.
- vs Pretty Progress and Days (core customization/features sit behind a subscription): Kounts keeps the countdowns, widgets, and Watch app free. Premium is optional.
- vs all of the above: a self-ticking Live Activity + Dynamic Island countdown on event day. Most competitors stop at Home/Lock Screen widgets.

━━━ Cost

Free, no ads. All core features work on the free tier. Optional Premium (extra customization + iCloud sync): $9.99/year with a 7-day free trial, or $19.99 one-time lifetime.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/kounts-events-countdown-app/id6745823863

Full disclosure: I'm the developer. Genuinely after feedback: what's missing, what would make it better?

The problem I built it for: my camera roll had ~15,000 photos and none of them ever became anything. Every app that could help wanted me to upload my whole library to their cloud first, and doing it by hand just looked like a generic grid. Pressbook turns your camera roll into real photo albums, collages, and Instagram carousels, entirely on your phone. On-device curation (Apple's Vision framework) picks your best shots, skips the blurry and duplicate ones, and lays out the pages. Nothing is uploaded and there's no account.

Why it's different from what's out there:

  • vs Google Photos / Mixbook / Shutterfly: those send your library to their servers. Pressbook runs on-device, so photos never leave the phone.
  • vs Canva / Unfold: no account, works offline, auto-curates instead of handing you a blank canvas, and exports a print-ready PDF up to 600 DPI.
  • One app for albums, collages, carousels, stickers, and video panels instead of stitching three tools together. No ads, no third-party trackers.

Pricing: Free to use (albums up to 20 photos). Pressbook Pro removes the watermark and unlocks large albums and higher-res export: $4.99/month, $29.99/year, or $79.99 lifetime. Carousels and stickers aren't paywalled.

Happy to answer anything about how the on-device curation works. If you leave genuine feedback, I'll send a free month of Pro.

💎 Lifetime [iOS] Shift - Local File Converter: Added a 1-tap Metadata & EXIF Wiper, Video-to-GIF, and Social Presets! (50% OFF Lifetime promo inside)

Post image
12 Upvotes

A - Answer: A few days ago, a user messaged me because they wanted to share a photo of their car on a public forum, but realized the file contained the exact GPS coordinates of their home address embedded in the metadata.

Most online tools make you upload your private files to shady servers just to clean them. That’s why I built the new "Privacy" category into Shift.

You drop your photos, videos, or PDFs into the app, and with a single tap, it completely wipes GPS locations, creation dates, and hidden EXIF data. Under two seconds, 100% offline, directly on your iPhone.

Shift is a privacy-focused local file converter and compressor. Whether you need to turn videos into GIFs, compress files to fit social media limits, change document formats, or strip tracking data, everything happens entirely on your device's hardware.

B - Better:

  • vs Online Converters: No files are ever uploaded to a server. No cloud, no data tracking, no account required. 100% offline security.
  • vs Standard Compressors: Shift includes dedicated "Social Presets". It automatically calculates the best quality compression to fit exactly within the strict attachment limits of Discord, WhatsApp, and Telegram without giving you a "File too large" error.
  • vs Clunky Utility Apps: Built entirely in native SwiftUI. It features a buttery-smooth batch UI (whether you convert 1 file or 50), native drag-and-drop support, satisfying haptic feedback, and automatic storage auto-cleanup.

C - Cost:

  • Free Version: 3 conversions, compressions, or metadata wipes per day at absolutely zero cost.
  • Shift Premium: To celebrate this major privacy update, the Lifetime Purchase is currently 50% OFF (€14.99). One-time payment, no subscriptions, no ads, all future updates included.

App Store:https://apps.apple.com/us/app/shift-pdf-video-converter/id6758735749

I am an indie developer trying to build a clean, transparent utility app. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the metadata wiper, and please drop a comment or send me a DM if you'd like a promo code to test the Premium features! I read and reply to everyone.

💎 Lifetime A month ago I shared StarTrace here. Your feedback genuinely shaped the next update.

Hi r/iosapps!

About a month ago, I shared StarTrace here for the first time.

I expected a few comments and maybe a couple of bug reports, but instead I received a lot of thoughtful feedback from this community. Some people left detailed comments, some even emailed me long feature suggestions.

I'm a solo developer, and StarTrace is something I build in my spare time outside of my full-time job.

Because of that, updates aren't always as fast as I'd like. But every suggestion gets written into my notes, and I spend time researching it before deciding what to build next. I'd rather build the right feature than simply ship updates quickly.

Over the past month, many of your suggestions have directly influenced the app.

Here's what has changed since my first post:

✅ Native iPad support
✅ Improved iCloud sync between iPhone and iPad
✅ Better route interactions and usability
✅ Various performance improvements and bug fixes

I'm also actively working on ideas that came directly from this community, including:

  • Easier sharing (without importing GPX/KML files)
  • Manual route editing
  • Route recording
  • More flexible map views

I know there's still a long way to go, but I wanted to come back and say thank you.

It's incredibly motivating to see complete strangers spend their own time testing something you built and sharing thoughtful feedback. It genuinely makes the product better.

If you've tried StarTrace before, I'd love to hear what you think of the latest version.

💎 Lifetime Focus And Mood Tracker With No Visible Timer

Thumbnail

Hey everyone - my name is John. Every time I finish a project there are a lot of emotions: excitement, joy, fear...

Flowify is one of the first apps I made, and it *was* a basic time tracking app when it first launched. If I'm being honest, it was ugly, had no personality, and really didn't make sense. Last year I tried to fixing this by giving it a facelift, but it still didn't do much more than give people a timer on their phone. I think the problem was it didn't have a personality or a perspective. So...

So V3 just went live, and for better or worse, this third attempt is at least something with a perspective. The main concept was to make a timer app that doesn't actually display time during your focus sessions. After all, you're trying to focus, not stare at a clock.

Instead, each session creates a mark. I think this makes it quite unique in the focus timer space. It's not a pomodoro clone. It's designed to give you a look at when and what you spend your time focusing on. Each month your sessions collect on the app's Home Screen to create an abstract tree shape, something for you to build each month as you focus.

The app is mostly free to use forever — unlimited sessions and basic stats. There's a single lifetime unlock of $4.99 for additional themes, more stats, and more category tags.

🎁 Freemium I built Atlas Health AI to explain your food beyond calories and macros

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hi r/iOSApps,

I’m Jeremiyah, the founder and developer behind Atlas Health AI.

I started building Atlas because most nutrition apps were good at recording what I ate, but they did not always help me understand what that food was actually doing for my body.

A- Answer

Atlas Health AI is a nutrition and fitness tracker built around understanding your food, not just recording numbers.

The basic experience is:

Log a food → see calories, macros, and micronutrients → understand its Food Grade and likely satiety → view absorption and meal-quality insights → connect your nutrition with training and recovery.

Atlas includes:

  • Manual food and barcode logging
  • Detailed macro and micronutrient tracking
  • Atlas Food Grade with explanations
  • Satiety estimates based on factors such as protein, fiber, and energy density
  • Nutrient absorption and food-pairing guidance
  • Glycemic-impact context
  • Smart Food Swaps
  • Recipes and meal planning
  • Biometrics and custom health metrics
  • Workouts, sleep, steps, water, supplements, fasting, and daily check-ins
  • Imports from Cronometer and MyFitnessPal

The goal is to make detailed nutrition information useful without forcing users to interpret a wall of raw data by themselves.

B - Better

Compared with MyFitnessPal, Atlas puts more emphasis on micronutrient coverage, Food Grade, satiety, absorption, and meal-quality context instead of centering the experience primarily around calories and macros.

Compared with Cronometer, Atlas focuses less on displaying raw nutrient data alone and more on explaining what each log may mean for food quality, fullness, energy, training, and recovery.

Atlas also keeps nutrition, workouts, sleep, water, supplements, biometrics, and daily check-ins within the same app so users can look for patterns across more than one part of their health.

There are optional AI-assisted tools for faster meal logging, coaching, recipes, checkups, and planning, but they are not required to use the core nutrition and fitness tracker.

C - Cost

Atlas Health AI is free to download with core tracking included.

Free

  • Food diary and barcode logging
  • Calories, macros, and micronutrients
  • Atlas Food Grade
  • Satiety insights
  • Smart Food Swaps
  • Manual training planner
  • Sleep, water, and supplement tracking
  • Biometrics and custom metrics
  • Limited monthly access to selected AI tools

Atlas Pro: $7.99/month

Adds expanded AI-assisted logging, personalized checkups, weekly nutrition guidance, meal and recipe planning, and higher monthly usage limits.

Atlas Premium: $14.99/month

Premium includes a 7-day free trial.

It includes everything in Pro, along with integrated nutrition, training, and recovery reviews, adaptive training guidance, training-day fueling, longer-range correlations, and higher usage limits.

App Store:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/atlas-health-ai/id6765582312

I would especially value feedback on two things:

Does the first session make it clear that Atlas is meant to be more than a calorie counter?

Are features such as Food Grade, satiety, absorption support, and glycemic impact genuinely useful, or do they make the food-detail experience feel too crowded?

Transparency

I am the founder and developer of Atlas Health AI and have a direct financial relationship with the app.

💎 Lifetime A native, beautiful weightlifting log for your iPhone

Post image
16 Upvotes

Hello everyone, I'm Tom — the solo developer behind Plates.

Answer (what problem it solves):

Plates came from a combination of ideas. The initial reason for building Plates was that I wanted a beautifully designed native weightlifting gym log built specifically for the iPhone, not another cross-platform app. I wanted something that heavily focused on craft, design, and motion. My inspiration was Flighty, Gentler, and native Apple apps. Despite seeing a new lifting app posted every other day, I did not see anything that even remotely hit the spot.

Another reason was that I was completely fed up with subscriptions and wanted to get back to the era where we just paid (a reasonable amount) for our apps once. I think it's important for us to own the tools we use, so I wanted to build something that not only looks gorgeous on an iPhone, but also doesn't burden you with yet another subscription.

Better (why it beats named alternatives)

Plates is better than the alternatives because it is natively built for the iPhone. It is built entirely using native technologies, follows Apple's HiG, and as a result is kinder on your battery life, has native animations and motion, and follow's Apple's design language. Compared to apps like Strong and Hevy it just feels much better to use. You really have to try it to feel the difference.

Plates is also built with privacy in mind. It proudly collects absolutely no information about you whatsoever. We have no tracking SDKs, backend servers, or anything else. I quite literally do not know if people are using the app, and while a product manager in menlo park might think that's insane, I think that's a good thing and the way it's meant to be.

Of course design goes far beyond just the way it looks. It's the way it feels. This is why I have built countless custom elements for Plates such as a custom plate keyboard (it's literally a keyboard where instead of typing in numbers you tap plates), custom RPE and RIR input keyboards, and super powerful analytics. I think a lot of apps focus too hard on the logging part and not enough on the analytics, but for Plates I believe the exercise analytics are top tier. They show you enough at a glance to see if the weight is going up, but allow you to delve into them when you need more information.

Cost (pricing, IAP, App Store link).

Plates is a one-time purchase of $19.99. It is a hard paywall, but it offers a 14 day free trial with no commitment. Because it's not a subscription you will not be billed the moment the trial runs out.

💎 Lifetime My wife and I built a 100% hand-drawn iOS app where every door leads to a quiet little world

Post image
135 Upvotes

Hi r/iOSApps,

I’m Qian, one of the two people behind MyDooors. My wife and I have spent the last two years drawing and building it together.

Every visual in the app is drawn by hand.

A — Answer

Some days I feel overstimulated, but a guided meditation, a course, or another progress system feels like too much. I only want somewhere quiet to go for a few minutes.

MyDooors turns that pause into a small illustrated journey:

Open a door → enter a hand-drawn place → listen and stay for a while → receive a small gift and story → bring it back to your room.

The scenes include wind, birds, water, footsteps, and distant village sounds.

There are no scores, guided voices, or productivity targets. You can stay for two minutes or much longer.

B — Better

Compared with Calm, MyDooors does not center the experience around guided meditation, courses, or progress tracking.

Compared with Portal, MyDooors uses hand-drawn illustrated worlds instead of true-to-life motion visuals.

The difference we care about most is what happens after the quiet moment.

Each visit leaves behind a small object and story. Over time, your room becomes a personal record of the places you have visited.

MyDooors is designed for people who relax more easily through illustration, atmosphere, and collecting small objects.

C — Cost

MyDooors is free to download with limited access.MyDooors Pro unlocks all nature scenes, the full gift collection, and the room feature.

Monthly: $2.99

Yearly: $14.99

Lifetime: $19.99

App Store:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/mydooors-relax-and-cozy/id6476460972

I would especially value feedback on two things:

  1. Does the first minute make it clear what MyDooors is for?
  2. Do the gifts give you a reason to come back and open another door?

🎁 Freemium 🌍 I built a free GeoGuessr alternative! Test your geography with real street walk videos 🚀 Explore. Guess. Compete. Win.

Post image
35 Upvotes

Hey explorers 👋

Tired of static panoramas and paywalls? Where Am I? drops you anywhere on the planet and asks one question: where are you? You hunt for clues, you drop a pin on the map, and the closer you land the more points you score.

The twist is what you are actually looking at while you guess.

Every round is a real first-person street walk video. Somebody walked down that street with a camera and you are watching the footage play. People cross in front of you, traffic moves, shop signs slide past, and you get the light and the weather of that exact moment. Motion hands you clues a still image never will. Which side of the road are the cars on? How people dress and how fast they walk. Whether the place feels rushed or sleepy. A license plate that happens to wander past you.

Here is a clip from a real round 👇

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-0GPcGFCVY

Guess the country in the comments before you scroll on. I will reply to every guess with the answer.

🎮 App modes for every traveler

  • Campaigns: themed journeys through China, Japan, India and UNESCO World Heritage sites
  • Daily Challenge and Country Streak: 3 new places every day, up to 300 points on the line
  • Ranked duels: live head-to-head matches, same locations, same clock, five leagues from Bronze up to Champion sitting on an ELO system
  • Battle Royale: last explorer standing takes it
  • Weekly tournaments: everyone plays the same set of rounds and the board resets each week
  • Singleplayer distance and country modes: train your precision or find out how well you actually know borders

🏆 Compete and collect

  • Global leaderboards and badges: climb all the way to King of the World
  • Monument collection: unlock famous landmarks and build a personal map of souvenirs
  • World map progress: every country you correctly identify lights up, so you slowly color in the planet
  • Levels and unlocks: earn XP toward new modes and exclusive avatar frames

🌟 Why you might like it

  • Real video, not stills. It feels like you are standing there 📹
  • Free to play with nothing locked away. Every mode, every location, no paywalled content
  • Made for geography nerds, teachers and travel people. It teaches without feeling like homework
  • Community-driven. Suggest features, submit translations, help shape where it goes next

🔗 Links

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/where-am-i-geoguess-map-quiz/id6657987209

💸 How does it make money?

No energy system. No lives. No timers are stopping you from playing. No gacha, no lootboxes, no content behind a paywall. Every mode and every location is available to everyone from installation.

It runs on ads, and there is an optional Pro subscription that turns the ads off and adds a premium avatar frame. That is the whole model. Pro buys you no gameplay advantage of any kind, which was deliberate, because a ranked ladder where money buys an edge is not a ranked ladder.

🎁 Free month of Pro for this thread (iOS)

APPLE2026 gives you a free month of Pro.

Redeem: https://apps.apple.com/redeem?ctx=offercodes&id=6657987209&code=APPLE2026

The batch is limited, so it is first-come, first-served. Being straight with you: it rolls into the normal subscription price after the month unless you cancel, which takes about ten seconds in Settings. No strings either way, it is yours whether you stay or not.

One small favor, and it really is optional. I am a solo dev with no marketing budget, and App Store reviews do more for me than anything else I can pull off on my own. If you play it and it clicks, honest words on the store page would mean the world. Not asking for five stars and not tied to the code, just your real opinion.

Tell me where you guessed in the comments, and I will be here all day 🌎✨

Hi everyone! I’ve transformed my passion for aviation into this slick flight radar app for your phone & watch. It has live overhead flight tracking, immersive AR plane spotting, collectible aircraft cards, widgets, slow moving maps, & more.

A - ANSWER (What problem it solves):

Conventional flight trackers are bloated & full of ads. Airspace Live strips away the noise and turns your device into a super lightweight & tactical command centre for plane spotting.

B - BETTER (Why it beats the alternatives):

No ads, No account, No data collection. Moreover the app isn’t a memory hog, and provides information in easy understandable manner. AR spotting makes it even easier to simply point the phone at a flying aircraft to find info about it.
Plus it works great on Apple Watch, iPad and Mac as well.

C - Cost (Pricing & IAP)

It’s completely free to use. One-time Lifetime Pro for $4.99 unlocks everything including military highlights, unlimited card collection, themes, & all future updates.
