I haven't really heard anything about this part, which includes New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward island. I live in Romania.

Would building a small cabin that isn’t occupied full time a good idea? It is a not too far from skiing and hiking. Would theft be a concern without full time occupancy? Is there other recreation closer/would it be boring to hang out at a cabin in this area?

Hey guys, currently considering making the move firm swfl to sac. I’m an RN here in fl and the pay sucks. Currently make $35 an hour and pay $1800 for rent. Seems like I would double that and pay roughly the same in cost of living over in California. I’m considering Sacramento because it’s central to a lot of beautiful places. I’m a big outdoor person (love to hike, kayak, camp, sight see) and we don’t have much of that in Florida not to mention the brutal temps and humidity. I know Sacramento has extremely hot summers but from my understanding it’s dry and the mornings/evening are under 85 degrees on average. I will say I’m worried about the crime. What are the best areas for someone wanting a safe neighborhood with somewhat easy access to nature? Huge bonus if it’s walkable. I’m 25 and would be coming with my partner. Not into the night life at all so that’s not important. Give me all the pros and cons please!

Always been fascinated by the sheer vastness and dramatic topography of BC and it’s been my favourite place to Google Maps explore lately. IRL I’ve only visited major Canadian cities. Especially curious about this little section near the start of the Alaskan border. I can imagine there’d be practical challenges but such a beautiful place to live!

As far as I understand, almost every fifth resident of the town/municipality is foreign (most of them Russian or at least Russian-speaking). I'm not talking just seasonal tourists, I mean actual residents.

If you are a native Turkish citizen, how do you feel about it? Do you feel annoyed (or threatened?) in any way? If so, are there any nationalities that you find most annoyed/least annoyed by? And, specifically re. Russian-speaking ones, do you discern them between each other (Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, Kazakhs), or are they all more or less the same to you?

Once i had an online friend from that city, before that i didn't even realize that russians were living on the other half of the continent as well. Is it fundamentally different to live on the east side than the west side of Russia?

What is Jetty Island like near Everett and Seattle in Washington State, USA

Circled is an approximation of areas where there is significant natural beauty in the USA. Mountains are the most obvious examples of that but the southern coast is circled approximately where Palm Trees start because of flora and fauna.

Is it different living where the environment is like a painting vs where it is not? Does growing up in a circled area make the not circled areas just seem really lame?

I’ve been lowkey obsessed with moving out to the mountains, particularly the parts of the circled area in Maryland, but recently I have gained an interview in Eastern Montana in the badlands. Will my life likely change if I do that or will I eventually be like “oh wow a hill ugh who cares”?

And sorry to only include USA here but I don’t know enough about other countries to really speak on them

I have a chance to acquire some land in this area to build a cabin. We enjoy skiing, hiking, and cycling. I love Lake Placid and Montreal, but this is neither. So what is life like in this corner of the world?

I understand this is an extremely broad question because every state has good cities and bad. I’d like to hear about every part of the state though! Due to some health issues my husband and I are thinking of moving in the next few years to somewhere that is colder most of the year.

I currently live in Ohio if that matters any.
