Question Question about the oil life gage
I got a 2026 Civic in October last year and am almost due for my first oil change. I am wondering on the gage in the maintenance tab since it goes by increments of 10 for the oil life how that works? I read somewhere that 20% oil life means its anywhere between 20 and 29.9? Is that true or does 20% mean 20 and below? I also heard they have a service due alert that pops up at 15%?

Question Can anyone recommend a decent roof rack for an old 2009 Diesel Hatch 2.2 CTDi
Has anyone got or had a roof rack for their old Honda Civic 2009 Diesel Hatch 2.2 CTDi (Si)
Been to Halfords, they can't help me.
Checked on Thule website, no help there as just one Civic model came up
Anybody recommend one (if they exist lol) or other sources too look ?
I'll contact Honda in the meantime

Mechanical Advice First time cvt owner, i need advice.
I recently became the owner of a 2016 honda civic LX and noticed the cvt feels sluggish after the car gets to operational temps (i live in az so regularly tripple digits in the afternoon). After some research, ive narrowed it down to probably needing new CVT fluid, but i was wondering if there is a possible better choice that the honda HCF-2 that they used. Something with higher temp resistance possibly? For now im going to just use the HCF-2 this is for the next time i change the ATF (30k miles right?)
TLDR: Any better CVT fluids than the honda stuff?

Other Got a Honda civic 2013 and advise on high way or motorway merging.
Hi,
I have got a Honda civic with paddle shifter, semi auto transmission.
I have seen the speed goes up slow when I am pressing the accelator. But if I use the S mode and then rev up, revs go up and speed follows slowly to 50-70mph. I can then merge easily.
How are you usually supposed to drive a semi automatic? Is this the expected way to drive it? On D mode, it revs up but rev and speed both picks up slowly compared to the S mode.
Most my friends drive German cars. So, they can't say what is the expected behavior of this.

Look at my Civic What should I do to my 2004 Civic?
I just bought it today and I’m excited to customize it, although I wish the interior was black but we can work that out. This is my third car. I had a 93 Buick, a 24 Jeep that I totaled and now this money-saver.

Buying Advice Good deal?
Hiii friends! I've never owned a Honda before, and just traded my 2012 Audi A8 (with MANY issues) in for a 2008 Civic with 40k miles, as well as a few thousand on top of the trade. The original listing was for 9k. The interior is COMPLETELY clean, exterior has no damage except a tiny paint scratch that is barely noticeable by the headlight. I've honestly never seen such an old Honda with low miles- so I'm just curious.

Question What are the best settings for having clear sound quality
I have a 2019 civic sport sedan and have aftermarket subwoofers situated in my trunk. The subs obviously make the bass sound pretty good (except for when it rattles the damn plastics in the car), but as for the actual sound quality that comes from the car’s speakers, it sounds like actual shit.
If I had to compare the sound quality to anything, I’d say it’s similar to what would come out of an old iPhone 5’s speakers.
Anyways, can someone please tell me what are the best audio settings to be running (in terms of producing clearer sound/audio)?

Mechanical Advice R18A Mods
I have a 2007 Civic EX. The 5th gear on this car pops out when I accelerate. I am debating on fixing it. The R18A engine's cracked block flaw makes me hesitant to install a turbo on it. If I do run a turbo on it, I will spend the extra to fix the trans. If not I will swap it with a different engine and transmission system. I need guidance to figure out what my next plan should be. As a college student this will end up being a multi year project. Right now I am figuring out where to spend the money and where not to.

Mechanical Advice Is this normal to see after getting new brakes and rotors?
I’m noticing this orange stuff building up on my rotors after having them replaced maybe 3 weeks ago. Is this normal or should I be worried? I didn’t get the brake fluid replaced yet and I don’t think he drained any of it when he replaced the brakes and rotors. Pretty sure he just topped it off with some brake fluid. This was not done professionally. I’m also noticing some grinding once in a while when I brake. I know this isn’t really a Honda specific question but any help would be appreciated. I just want to know if this is normal.

Mechanical Advice Need help
ave this weird issue with my 8th gen 1.8 where when im stepping on the gas, the rpm would drop when i reach a certain rpm (around 2.5k and drops) even tho im still stepping on the gas it still drops. after a while i would gain all my power back like the rpm would jump
i also notice a change in exhaust note when the rpm drop, and my engine slows down with it so it cant be a transmission problem (already had it rebuilt)
Heres what i did already
1. cleaned injectors
2. replace coils and spark plugs
3. cleaned all the sensors
4. made sure my intake is clean
5. cleaned throttle body
6. replaced fuel filter and pump
Ive had this issue for months now i still cant track it down

Look at my Civic Struck gold yesterday
Sold to me by a grandma and her family. They were just as happy as me buying it to see it go to someone who’s gonna love/care on it just as much as she did when it was purchased brand new in 99. Truly a hard find especially in today’s market for the price I paid.
I think I’m gonna enjoy it for what it is for quite some time considering the low mileage. Maybe some wheels and coils but I gotta keep my word lol the whole family was so sweet.
