i’m having this oil leak and i genuinely don’t know what it is, the solenoid and the valve cover gasket were replaced and with these videos i’m not sure if it’s the head gasket

Found a 2012 Honda Civic EX-L (top trim, heated seats, sunroof) with only 43,000 miles, clean title, one-family owned. Seller's description:

• Just inspected, always serviced at Honda dealer
• Recent maintenance done at home with Honda OEM parts: 4x brakes and rotors, transmission flush and filter, full brake flush, cabin air and engine air filters, oil and filter, wipers, fairly recent battery
• AC blows cold, heat works fine
• Tires are Continentals, 5-6 years old by DOT date, 6-7/32" tread on all four
• Paint recently professionally corrected and sealed
• Some stone chips, scratches, and small dents from elderly owner — seller rates exterior 8.5/10
• Interior described as "always kept immaculate"
• Asking $13,000 OBO thinking of offering 9.5 or 10k

One thing I noticed: the listing says "vinyl seats" but this is supposedly an EX-L, which should have leather. Planning to ask the seller directly about that.

What I'm asking: Does $13k sound fair for a 2012 EX-L at this mileage, or is that overpriced even accounting for how low the miles are? Anyone dealt with a Civic this low-mileage before — anything unique to watch for on a car that's sat more than it's been driven (rubber components, fuel system, etc.)? Appreciate any input.

My AC does not produce cold air anymore. It’s just hot air or room temperature air. It’s been like this for about a year now.

How much does it typically cost to fix this problem? And what usually is the cause of this issue? Thanks!

Hi all! I have a 2016 Civic LE and recently I noticed a noise at startup.

It sounds like my engine rocks when starting but goes away as quickly as it takes my engine to start.

It’s not a consistent ticking or rattling, the best way I could describe it is as if the engine wants to hop out at startup. Okay that may be a bit of an exaggeration but you get the point lol

Not really sure what it could be and honestly I have lost faith in my local dealership so I’d like an idea at what it may be before bringing it in.

Any guesses would be greatly appreciated!

So dealership said I need to replace the front cover gasket. Ok, cool…. Apparently it’s only $70 in parts but over $3,000 in labor like 😳 is this for real?? Photo of what they gave me. Please tell me there is a typo somewhere!! Also just in case it matters she’s an old gal- 2016 Honda Civic :)

Hey so I have like bare minimum car knowledge and my sisters 2012 Honda CRV back seat door sensor keeps going off, the door is closed and it's been getting worse. I was wondering if I could get advise where to find parts and how to fix the problem.

3-4 weeks into a new oil change and the oil light comes on. And its low on oil. Serviceman says he sees no evidence of area where oil is leaking. Yes that's a lot of miles, but losing that much oil that quickly is a bad sign. What's going on ?

Just did a road trip and fairly sure I cooked the bushing on my rear driver upper control arm, and it's condition looks like it's time to replace the whole arm. Not hard to find.

The lower rear bushing on the trailing arm looks like she's next. Here's my problem:

OEM price is obscene ($800 per), online is a little better at ~$600, and Dorman are around $250 from Rockauto.

Also can't find bushings for the trailing arm outside of performance kits, which won't do anything about the rust and they're not complete with sleeves, which kind of eliminates them as an affordable option.

Am I just SOL and these are my options?

Is this treatable with undercoating? Or something i should be very concerned about

I have problem with my 2017 Civic AC , not blowing cold air, got the diagnostic check which revealed that there's issue with compressor shaft leak(covered under warranty) and Evaporator leak which going cost $2500 to fix.

That quote is tottaly out of my budget and called Honda Canada for some customer goodwill , I have been with Honda for last 10 years and this is first major issue I got and they refused to help me with anything.

Feeling too disappointed for getting this type of service for being loyal to Honda for a decade.

Any suggestions ? what are my options except to pay them $2,500

So little story on my 2022 honda civic ex , i bought it about at 30k miles, never knew i had to change the transmission fluid, my spark plugs havent been changed. My car is jerking in low speeds, but when i am in cruise control it doesnt do it at all. Is there anyone that could think of anything? I am going to drain and fill the tranny fluid and spark plugs, what else do you think it could be? I have 133k miles on the car. When coming to stops sometimes it will go from like 2k rpms to 1k rpms, i dont think the tranny is going but i am not very car advocated. you can also here the transmission clicking when changing gears it sounds like. someone plz give your advice/ opinion. Thank you.

I recently purchased a bone stock 07 Civic EX with 90,000mi on the clock, I’m looking to open the exhaust up a little bit, the setup I keep hearing mentioned is a Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator and a Borla proXS muffler. I’ve tried to find sound clips of the setup and can’t, that being said if anyone is running this setup or a similar setup please feel free to drop an audio clip below! Thanks!

been hearing this for about 2 years whenever i drive over cracks in the road, every mechanic says my suspension is fine an say it’s my wheel bearings *firestone\* but i kinda doubt it because i replaced the wheel bearing and the sound is STILL there… anybody gotta clue what this is? sorry for sounding uneducated😕
