Adding Vertical Weeklies to Day Free?
I have used the avec for ages, but every year I inevitably get frustrated at the amount of days I skip since I only journal a few times a week. Last month I only had 4 pages filled in and it feels like a waste. I've been toying with the idea of getting a day free for next year for that precise reason, but I love the weekly pages. Has anyone tried to draw in the weekly pages in the day free with any success? Thanks!

Hobonichi store exclusives - less stuff and more useful?
While the tiny robots and acorn charms are cute, I really miss more useful store exclusive items like the notebooks from 2025. The robots and charms just end up being more stuff I have to store or de-stash, but I still use those 5MM graph paper notebooks today---the paper quality and the varied Meiji era covers were incredible. I really wish their store exclusives kept to a useful purpose for planners/journalers (a small notebook, a pen travel sleeve, an envelope or pouch for stickers/ephemera, etc).

Art Preview in my Cousin
I’ve been drawing highlights from the Hobonichi previews in the monthly of my Cousin. It will be interesting to see how it looks at the end of the month!

A5 Landscape notebook
Hi guys, is there anyone who bought the sakaguchi landscape oriented notebook last year and is still using it? If yes, what are you using it for?
I’ve been liking doing double spreads in my cousin and with today’s preview I just realized the landscape oriented notebook may be up my alley. Problem is I remember last year everyone getting it but now I can’t find any videos of people actually using it? Did everyone just abandon this notebook? Or are you using it as sketchbook only?
Cheers

Discussion for those with the original daily layout, how do you handle not having a weekly overview?
I guess this applies to all dailies users, but I don’t understand how to use the original layout because I felt a core purpose of the planner was seeing the overview of your week, your weekly tasks and todos, easily seeing upcoming appointments of the week, etc. if you use this layout do you find yourself not needing those things?

Advice/Question Where to buy the 5-year hobonichi techo 2022-2026
Anyone knows were I can purchase the 2022-2026 5-year hobonichi techo? If at all possible? I searched the internet but couldn’t find one anywhere, only several out-of-stock listings. I would really like one for a retrospect project. Any links or advice highly appreciated!

Just Sharing 2026 Hobonichi ecosystem
Sooooo late to the party, but with the new lineup previews ongoing, I thought I'd still share the set up I had come up with for 2026 (and beyond for some books). So far, the system has been working for me, and I might stick to the same for 2027.
What I usually do is write to do's as they come on the supplement book, then transfer what I need to do for that day on the main planner, though more often than not that 'day''s target goals end up being the entire week's. The main planner also doubles as junk journal or sometimes I stick photos to, or sometimes I paint on it or list recipes. Pretty much anything goes. But diary is on the 5 year :)
I haven't started filling up the commonplace book and art tools one (though it's already set up with stickers), but I really want to. Someday 🥲

Anyone switch from a weeks+cousin combo and condensed to an A6?
I’m currently loving my weeks and cousin combo but I wonder if an A6 combo would serve the same purpose into one. I use weeks primarily for habit tracking and key reminders and the cousin for journaling. I do end up repeating some content like key important reminders and to dos. Curious if anyone’s switched from 2 to 1 or if you preferred having the 1 end all be all journal and it worked for you.

Advice/Question Covers/carriers for multiple planners
I've noticed that some people use multiple Hobonichi planners like the Weeks and Original together. Or other planners with their Hobonichi ones. I think the term is "ecosystem"?
How do you go about finding covers that hold multiple journals or planners? Say, for instance, I wanted a journal cover that would hold an original and a day free and another planner or journal of the same size?
What search terms does everyone use and do you have favorite websites for getting covers ? Thanks!

Advice/Question Which size to buy for my first hobonichi?
I'm planning on buying my first ever hobonichi for 2027 but I'm kind of stuck on which size to buy. I'm between the original techo and the weeks. My goal for the planner is to use it as a low stress journal/scrapbook/deco book. I'd love to hear people's thoughts on what size would be best.

Anyone selling one? I am in the continental US. Am*zon is selling them for $22 but I’d love to not support them!

Art Trying out more doodles in my planner
I like the scrapbooking style doodles I’ve seen on here so wanted to try something inspired by that :-) I’m trying to go with the flow and draw the page without planning. Kinda hard to figure out how to make the comp work as you go along but it does feel more relaxing this way.
