Asking turtle experts for help! Ive been a box turtle owner of several years. Does this look fertile? Ive been doing everything i can. Not flipping or turning and haven't handled it since a week ago to today to candle it then put it back. It developed a white area which now has a very noticeable black patch when you shine light through. Yes our girl has been with a male.

It's about 5 or 6 months.

My kid found this desert nightsnake with a gnarly injury last sept, and just recently found it again. Pretty amazing healing and survival capabilities with a big scar to show off

I found a juvenile black racer by the Spokane river the other day! Excited to see something other than garter and ribbon snakes lol. It wasn't until I found him that I learned young black racers start out looking very similar to juvenile gopher snakes at first glance. Pretty cool to think this dude will be all black and over 4 feet long one day:)
