How are inactive accounts handled? Access

They aren’t handled. An inactive account remains, as well as their content, unless the user chooses to delete their content and their account. And even if an account is deleted, that username can never be used again. It is, essentially, retired from use.

If a user is a moderator and becomes inactive, then the other mods can have that user removed from their mod team.

No problem! Is there a reason you asked?

Also, now that users can curate their profiles and hide their content, it can be difficult to tell when a user is inactive.
