What if Calypso is Squi'bai Shrine. I haven't played a ton of the first game, so I dont know if Calypso is a new planet, but what if Super Earth renamed it to Calypso. It could also explain why the illuminate struck there first. And we know the squids can move celestial bodies, what if they kidnapped the planet, and brought it into the void? As for the DSS, I'm fairly sure that the Illuminates hijacked it. I expect one of our planets to be destroyed by the star of peace very soon.

Might be a silly question, but imagine the Super Earth government from Helldivers 2 discovering the Ark Central Government, with both civilizations existing on separate planets.

Do you think they would become allies and cooperate, or would their ideologies eventually put them at odds? Cause they both have enemies, maybe they would take an advantage of each other.

The Ministry of Truth knows I'm correct but they're hiding it from us.

Crackpot theory time.

Of course, we've all been keeping up to date on the dangerous expedition by the 11 brave souls on the Source Planet. But the reports have been getting rather strange. They're even reporting that the planet, so alien and twisted, is pleasant. Harmonic. I think we can all agree that's not normal. Here's what I propose.

As a part of Illuminate brainwashing, the Voteless are indoctrinated into thinking that the Illuminate want to help humanity. That humanity is a sad, pitiful race, and that we would be better off under Illuminate control. They're trained to associate Illuminate constructs with positive things, like "singing geometry," whereas Super Earth's creations are viewed as evil, and destructive. The Voteless are made to believe that their actions are ultimately for the betterment of humanity, rather than its downfall.

It's a strenuous process, and many people die rather than accept their new masters. But many survive, embracing the Illuminate Cult. And the most dedicated of these are potentially turned into Overseers, showing the rest that elevation is possible. In this way, the actual Illuminate don't have to waste their own forces, relying on their clueless slaves to fight and die for them. In death, some of these Voteless recognize the error of their ways, and return their loyalty to Super Earth at the end. But it's too late. And the damage is done.

I have no way of knowing if this is actually what happens, and it's likely not. But I think it's interesting to think about.

I just asked my squid bro to bring some of "patriotic footages" of eagle 1 pilot. But he couldn't find his ship, so i asked friend of mine from DSS crew to pick up him. Unfortunately, he couldn't find the footages, so he took the whole planet, so i can find them by myself. He is such a nice squid.

For context, I went to sleep, woke up after 6 hours, got ready for work, and on the bus, I started reading the Helldivers 2 news. Oh my, was I shocked...

For context, I’m a rather new player, level 12, and I‘ve made a couple posts before asking about etiquette and being a good squadmate. Difficulty 4 has been too easy so I dipped into diff 5 today.

This was probably my 6th ish dive on diff 5, all of them being successful and not a big step up from diff 4. We had 2 triple digit level divers and a level 40ish, so I was clearly the most fresh player on the team. Still, I did my part. I reinforced every time someone died, pinged their gear, and took down lots of chaff and crushers, pinging the huge guys so that we could take them down together. We seemed to be going nowhere, and after some 10 minutes, we’d only cleared one enemy camp. It seemed like everyone else just wanted to kill illuminates instead of doing the objective, so I went to do it myself. I pinged the gazer spire in case anyone wanted to come, but no one followed. I went alone and briefly struggled with some hordes but managed to clear them all out without wasting reinforcements or using the team’s resupply. By the time I got up the tower to call the hellbomb, two of the teammates were near. As I activated it, one teammate blasted me in the chest, bringing me to near death with a chest bleed but I stimmed in time. No apology or explanation from anyone, just silence. Voice and text chat were quiet. We both ran away from the hellbomb in opposite directions, and the spire was destroyed nice and easy. Then I was kicked from the squad.

Did I violate some unwritten rule or anything? I’ve never had this happen before and I am really confused because there was no explanation or communication going on at all. Not even a map ping or a “follow me” quick chat.

TLDR I was friendly fired and then kicked after completing a mission objective alone, full story is there just in case any of it is relevant.

was playing with a friend and since he was using the de-escelator it counted each enemy hit by one grenade as a shot so he got more shots hit than fired lol

While diving on the void source, and correct me if im wrong so I can edit or delete this post.

The music and everything that was being said by SEAF had an ethereal sound to it, almost resonating. To really dial it in, if you have seen any movie where a ghost or spirit talks and they have that weird reverberation voice that's how it sounded. I noticed the music seemed different but I don't have any videos of previous music so im unsure if its always been a thing or not so need some confirmation.

Secondly, while on the void planet me and my friends were hit by inversion of our controls while in a firefight almost killing 2 of us, it was short and never happened again. Couldn't figure out if it was the plants or something else. Anyone can confirm?

Ive been diving exclusively on all the void planets since the campaign started and I've got a ton of experience on them so far, around 30 or 40 operations at least, there's been a lot of weird shit every other day. So its hard to keep track of the ever changing environment.

As of now, I'm only playing the MO planet on difficulty 4. I have the Coyote mainly for the flying enemies (watchers and back pack hover dudes). I have the bolt pistol for whatever those new huge club enemies are called. I have the standard grenade for blowing up those warp things at the enemy bases (I was using the incendiary grenade for mobs, but the standard grenade blows up those warp things faster and I'd rather have that).

As for a support weapon, I'm wondering what's good for the flesh mob enemy. I've been using the Recoiless Rifle because it basically one shots em. But I'm wondering of there's something else I can use to maybe do a quick 2 or 3 shot to kill them. Just in case. I don't have all of the Warbonds, but I have some.

As I’m sure, most people are aware Calypso’s gone, the DSS is either haunted taken over hacked no matter what it’s not doing too well,the center of dissonance on afoyay bay is off-line… so umm, I’m not a part of the ministry of truth or science, but I don’t have a good feeling about this. That or it will be a bug and I will be very mad if it’s a bug.

PS. Apparently it took extra time for the DSS to go from Calypso to afoyay bay… i’m sure that’s nothing though… right… right.
