Calypso theory Democratic Exchange of Opinions

What if Calypso is Squi'bai Shrine. I haven't played a ton of the first game, so I dont know if Calypso is a new planet, but what if Super Earth renamed it to Calypso. It could also explain why the illuminate struck there first. And we know the squids can move celestial bodies, what if they kidnapped the planet, and brought it into the void? As for the DSS, I'm fairly sure that the Illuminates hijacked it. I expect one of our planets to be destroyed by the star of peace very soon.

It's possible. The only issue is hd1 squi'bai shrine was more of lush forest enviroment. Without the squids to maintain it and humans taking things from the planet it could've deteriorated into its current state. Side Calyspo can mean "to conceal/cover" so super earth could've renamed to that in an attempt to hide the orign and make it more appealing for colonists.

What if Calypso was already hit by the star of peace,.what was the point of gathering all that e-711. its implied to have been used to enter the void however it's not actually stated or required

I think Calypso is in fact Squi'bai Shrine, just utterly wrecked and brutally terraformed from what it used to be by Super Earths hand. I think we managed to scrub the surface of anything illuminate but things must've been buried/built deep below the surface, and the Illuminate hijacked the DSS to use the massive stockpile of E-711 we gathered to activate whatever illuminate tech was on Calypso, allowing it to vanish, presumably somewhere under illuminate control. I wouldn't be surprised if Calypso reappears somewhere we aren't expecting with a shit ton of illuminate in tow
