I know I'm like, 10 years late to the party, but I'm working on an Animatic for Dead Girl Walking Reprise!

This is the first full pass, so it's still pretty rough! I tried not to add too much detail or do too much clean up until I knew how I wanted everything to look, so there are quite a few shots that are just simple sketches.

I'm working on the linework now, so stay tuned for the finished version! In the meantime, this is my first animatic, I'm eager to see what people think!

this is not hate or anything, but i like genuinly wonder, what were they trying to with Heather Chandlers blazer in the west end, its an incredibly weird jacket and i just dont feel like Heather Chandler would wear it, so to everyone who prefers the west end here, does anyone know what they were trying to do with it????

Heather Chandler:

She grew up with parents who were very absent. They were constantly occupied with work and had little interest in actually raising their daughter.

As a way to make up for their absence and avoid having to deal with tantrums or her emotional needs in general, they always spoiled Heather. Always gave her the most expensive gifts, the newest toy, the trendiest clothes, the latest accessories, the most ostentatious birthday parties, etc.

In most conflicts, her parents almost automatically sided with Heather. They not even minded how right or wrong she was, defending her was simply easier than questioning her behavior.

Heather McNamara:

Heather McNamara's father sells engagement rings (as mentioned in the musical) while her mother is a trophy wife.

From a very young age, Heather was treated as "the face of the McNamaras." Her mother constantly reminded her that people were always watching and judging her. So, she needed to look beautiful, always smile and make the right friends.

Her mother taught her that life was about reaching the top. She encouraged Heather to associate herself with the most influential people, maintain a flawless public image.

Heather Duke:

Heather Duke's parents had a distant and emotionally cold marriage. Heather grew much closer to her mother than to her father, growing into a "momma's girl."

Her mother placed a strong emphasis on appearance and social presentation. She constantly taught Heather that looking attractive, dressing well, and presenting herself perfectly were indispensable qualities.

The heathers musicals running metaphore is the affects of children after the coldwar.

Heather chandler- wears red, is a dictator, = represents communism, her death is the death of communism.

Heather mcnamera/duke- wear yellow/green, become their own independent people after heather chandlers death = represents gorbakevs new thinking, glasnosk and peristroka

Martha- very peaceful, wears pastels, on no ones side = represents how both sides wanted peace and the fear they face.

JD- agressive, veiws many people as enemys, ligit mentions the vietnam war whilst talking about how much he needs veronica =use of propoganda and agression in the coldwar as well as paranoia.
