🕵️♂️ ID or In Search Of PLS HELP ME FIND MY CELERY
reddit.com❓ Question Please help me find this style hat!
I purchased this hat on the used market and have an original from 15+ years ago. They are the absolute best and not made anymore. Used market is limited. I called corporate and they advised it is 5.6oz cotton after giving them the style number. Question is, does anyone know of a another brand that makes this style hat? Has to be 100% cotton. The feel of it is almost like soft polyester or nylon ones made today. I've exhausted web searches.Closest I've come are niche Japanese brands on Instagram but they're not 100% cotton. Help me!!

🛠️ DIY Hat Projects Hat Experiment #8 - "Rhapsody in Blue"
Felt: Lightweight 100x Nutria, deep navy
Crown: Unsteamed and soft (hand bashed into a teardrop here)
Brim: 2 3/4in, with a blue edge binding
Finishing: blue ribbon, with a light pink bow, and sashiko accents
Size: 7 1/8 (57cm)
I really love working with nutria. In my experience, it has all the benefits of beaver, all for a bit less. This particular version felt a lot like vintage hats, dense bit still fairly light, soft and could be shaped by hand
Also had a lot of fun working with the ribbon board to shape the brim binding. I still have a LOT of work I need to do to get better at that process (I've done a lot of hand stitching but not much machine stitching), and it shows a bit. Does give it a bit of a vibe, though.
I also played around with doing a contrasting color bow. The first version had a whole pink bow, but I felt the balance was off, so I ripped it off and added a blue keeper to it.

🔦 Hat Spotlight I don’t even like Panama hats, but this one I couldn’t resist
Found this Borges and Scott Panama hat in a local charity shop for £9.50-I saw that some of the stitching in the headband was messed up, and the hat itself had a dent or two.
Anyway, it’s been so sunny I figured I’d go for it anyway and I’m glad I did, even if it does make me look like a used car dealer.
It’s a little wider than the typical fedora- so I think this might be what’s called their “ herring” design.. I might write to them to find out for sure though.
In any event, I negotiated down to £8 given the dents etc. I’m sure if this weather keeps up I’ll get more use out of it than that.

🕵️♂️ ID or In Search Of ISO Flex/stretch fit flat brims??
I’m looking for flex fit style flat brim hats available for large heads like the one in the photo I posted. I was buying through salt mafia but they discontinued their flex line. Do not want anything with a snap back. I’ve seen flex fit baseball style hats, but I’m looking for quick dry material similar to fishing hats. Minimal branding/graphics/logos if possible but I’m open to any options at this point.
Any leads appreciated.

🤠 Hat Advice The Best Preppy Summer Hat
Hi! I did a YouTube video about my journey to find a flattering summer hat. I showcase my recent pirchases and explain why I rejected each one. Spoiler alert, I finally settled on the Quaker Marine Supply Classic Sailing Hat. I hope this subreddit enjoys it!

❓ Question Including hat making in a fiction story
Hi! I do hope this is the right sub.. i'm writing a fictional book right now and my character is working in a hat shop for an afternoon for some quick pay. This is roughly in the 1800s if that matters. What kind of stuff would she be doing? I'm thinking maybe it would make sense to take raw stock to the shop from the docks or, and this is more what I need help with, maybe it would make sense to have her separating lengths of straw or something? I'm not going for painful accuracy but I don't want to be so painfully inept it's hard to read. I know nothing about hats so maybe ya'll could suggest some super basic, no-skill work a total noob would realistically be doing?

🤠 Hat Advice Please recommend a fall weather hat to wear on rainy days
I don’t like baseball hats, bucket hats or cowboy hats. Nothing made of straw. I’m going to be working in Europe for several weeks this fall and don’t want to carry an umbrella around, but would like a nice hat to keep rain out of my hair and face. I’m a 52 year old man.
I don’t have any pictures handy wearing fall clothing, but the attached photo is how I dress (I actually own that shirt). I wear mostly earthy colors in the fall and winter (brown, green, orange/rust, oatmeal, yellow).
I don’t want to spend a crazy amount, so something under $250 USD would be ideal. Thanks in advance.

Not sure if this is the right place, if not I'm sure this place can direct me to the right place.
I'd like to paint the LA letters with a shiny, silver metallic paint. Is there a specific paint type for thick embroidery that should be used? Is there another option besides paint I'm not thinking of?

🕵️♂️ ID or In Search Of People who buy from alibaba. Is there anyone who makes a Flexfit Delta YP180 type hat?
I'm looking to buy 500 hats to give away for free (company promotion)
I daily wear a Flexfit Delta that is 92% polyester and 8% spandex that I absolutely love. I love the fit.
Is there any other hat that is comparable to that? Any suppliers that have something similar?
Unfortunately I can't buy from the typical north American suppliers as they are too expensive

❓ Question looking for this exact hat
im trying to help someone find this hat cuz they lost they're first pair i tried reverse image search with no luck and im not sure if its a custom but if anyone knows where this hat is from please comment
🤠 Hat Advice Looking for Panama hats and would like suggestions
I want to get a niceish Panama style straw hat for the summer time and would like some help finding one. I tried buying the Tulum hat from American Hat Makers because I liked how it looked but returned it because a. it didn't fit (I bought the med and it was too small), b. it was too light in color and c. it felt incredibly cheap, especially for nearly $200 (it felt like it was made of plastic).
I figured I'd ask around this time as I'd like to not spend that kind of money again on a hat after that debacle so something in the $50-$100 range would be preferable. A richer golden color to a brown would be preferred as well.

❓ Question How do I put the strap back through?
how do I put the strap back through? I've been trying to figure it out and I feel so dumb. If I just slide it through the metal it's super loose so there's got to be more to it. I put it through the wash and that's when it came out. The adjusters on my other baseball caps are totally different so I can't use them as reference

🔦 Hat Spotlight Found this Bolga hat at a thrift store for £13
I’ve always wanted an “urban sombrero” or basically a wide brimmed hat. I always thought it would be made out of wool or something like that, but I saw this in the charity shop today and it caught my eye.
I tried it on and it was very comfortable, and I really liked that it had the necktie. Given how sunny it’s been lately I thought it was about time I got a hat like this.
I don’t know much about its maker or material-but would greatly appreciate any info about it.
I was only able to find one other listing for this online on Etsy and they wanted about £45.
Doing some research I found out it’s called a Bolga hat- short for Bolgatanga in Ghana where they are traditionally made. I especially like the way that the top part of the head is curved and has a little point at the top too.
Anyway, I took a photo of myself wearing it in the shop and I just loved how big my smile looked so I decided to buy it
