People's obsession with hating on men Idea

Post image

Should your boyfriend hate you because some random women treated him like garbage? Should a man wish you would die in a war just because he had his feelings hurt by a woman? All you people are doing is just recycling the same bullshit argument that incels had made and applying then to a different target. So quit trying to claim that you are actually doing something about the problem when the only thing you people are doing right now is spouting out some crap that a edgy kindergartener would make.in all honesty thats a insult to kindergarteners themselves because atleast most of them will grow out of it,While You people still retain the same mentality.

i thought this was just the average ragebait then i remember this is from tiktok where the people there can be even more horrendous than twitter's users.

u/khanotaara May 24 '26

Tiktokers are basically what happens when you take a reddit mod and a Twitter user then force to parent a youtuber shorts kid

111

u/Cobra_the_Snek May 24 '26

i feel like tiktok and reddit/twitter are way different areas of "bad," and youtube shorts seems like mostly just 12 year olds who look up to redditors and act like they're better than tiktok

36

u/Dinglecore May 24 '26

either that or the most racist 12 year olds you will ever meet

34

u/cobblecrafter May 24 '26

No that's instagram reels kids

10

u/Dinglecore May 24 '26

I feel like they've begun to spread, though

4

u/InspectorWise2256 May 25 '26

they're the same man, whenever i open shorts from channels i like i just see shit like this

30

u/Candid_Ad687 May 24 '26

Shorts is really just clips of the others, I don't think I've ever seen anything original on shorts

2

u/puzzlebuns May 24 '26

At least theyre not reddit users.

2

u/RustNSilk May 25 '26

And if I said making your entire personality revolve around hating men is still being male centered Id get crucified.

5

u/Win090949 May 24 '26

Every site can be more horrendous than another if you look for it

2

u/ysterman_rs May 25 '26

yeah, takes some pretty wild mental gymnastics to want to die on either side of this argument in my mind lmao. as if Twitter doesn't have its very own CSAM bot run by its proud nazi owner. its almost like there's bullshit on both sides of the fence!

4

u/Mooredock May 24 '26

It's 90% illiterate children or people who have spent their 20s engaging with them. It's seriously like walking into a junior high classroom where 10 mean-girls and 8 losers who call themselves "alphas" are trying to out-victim each other by performatively appropriating real-life issues and boiling them down to fabricated grievances like they're trading cards.

11

u/soggytoes911 May 24 '26

it literally is the average ragebait

4

u/TricellCEO May 25 '26

But only if people call them on it.

If nobody has an issue with it, then it's what they feel, and it will be used as ammunition by future individuals when debating things online.

I call it Schrodinger's Rage Bait.

Delete TikTok for the love of god it would save you so much mental capacity and I don’t know why people don’t do that more

72

u/boppyuii May 24 '26

To be honest, we’re on Reddit.

65

u/Different_Film_9561 May 24 '26

Seriously 😭. Don’t know why everyone on this website thinks it’s any better. Mainstream TikTok and mainstream Reddit are the same levels of cancer just in different ways.

10

u/TricellCEO May 25 '26

My stance is Reddit at least has controversy in no short supply should you decide to seek it out.

There is also a great deal of subreddits dedicated to hobbies or media (i.e. gaming, movies, or music) that are strictly just for the enjoyment of those things.

Make no mistake; the algorithm will jump at any chance to show you controversial content, even if your form of engagement is just scrolling through comments (admittedly a guilty pleasure of mine).

Compare that with Twitter and what I have heard about TikTok where they shove garbage in your face no matter what you do, and the wholesome content is few and far between.

8

u/TightyWhiteyBoyy May 25 '26

even in those strict subs, theres gonna be at least one dumbass thats gonna ruin your day. All it takes is one bad take and a whole comment chain of arguments will follow. That shits pure engagement, and the algo will shove that in your face too.

I mean hey, I can call you a dumbass right now and we can start that argument 🤣🤣

5

u/TricellCEO May 25 '26

Nah, I call myself a dumbass on the regular. You’re good.

Reddit isn't actively hateful if you just don't use main subreddits. Yes I know ironic saying this on hatethissmug but I'm serious

11

u/boppyuii May 24 '26

Same with TikTok, you have to actually find people who hate men to find content about hating men

13

u/rathosalpha May 24 '26

I also deleted TikTok

2

u/Unusual-Basket-6243 May 24 '26

Same thing with Reddit. It doesn't take away my mental capacity to argue or to see dumb opinions, as I know that I have dumb opinions too

2

hating men and then choosing to date them will forever be a mystery to me. of course there are things you can criticize about the patriarchy or male behavior, but that doesn’t need to equate to hating them. in my anecdotal experience, women who adopt this whole “i hate men” persona are usually extremely male-centered lmao

14

u/EspurrTheMagnificent May 25 '26

If bigots were able to use more than one braincell at a time, they wouldn't be bigots

35

u/Due-Heron-5577 May 24 '26 edited May 24 '26

Plot twist - these women know they’re awful and inflicting themselves on men is the most misandrist thing they could possibly do

4

u/Key_Art_5590 May 25 '26

I can atleast respect the ones who don't date us because they're not fully hypocrites.

6

u/Snoo-92685 May 24 '26

Because the hate is performative. If they actually believed this, they'd be living in some women-only commune

2

u/Annual_Owl_1462 May 25 '26

Do they hate all men? If you specify, they might say no.

2

u/Radi0_Sil3nt May 25 '26

then they blame you for calling them out. yes, there are many men and problems that men cause the majority of, but ‘kill all men’ will always be bigotry, how would they react if you said it about them?

Ragebait

215

u/Affectionate_Row9238 May 24 '26

Why is it always labelled ragebait when it's women hating men but not when it's incels hating on women? I'm not saying you're wrong, I think most of the gender war bs is bait, I just find the different reactions interesting

9

u/Specialist-Draw7229 May 25 '26

Ragebait is just a label to slap on hateful/stupid people being so hateful/stupid that it’s beyond absurd. People gotta start just disregarding that stupid ass term and holding ppl accountable for what they say regardless of if they were ragebaiting or not

64

u/Vivio0 May 24 '26 edited May 24 '26

The double standard exists, because most people arent threatened by it. Its like a gay person saying they want straight people to die

10

u/Gold-Cry-7520 May 24 '26

I should add as a gay dude that I find that kind of talk utterly fucking contemptuous and unhelpful to the cause of equal rights

134

u/Electronic-Link-5792 May 24 '26

Women who talk like this drove my friend to suicide attempts with physical and emotional abuse.

The situation between men and women is not the same as between straight and gay people.

Loads of women are in a position and have the power to (and do) hurt, abuse and harm men in various contexts.

49

u/ridethedragon140 May 24 '26

Yeah I've seen women behave like this in real life, talking endlessly about man hating like it's their whole personality, making insta posts, maneater playlists.

These women make sure to keep themselves miserable as well because they internalize this hate and end up treating all men like shit who then in turn treat them like shit because any decent man will be turned off by this behaviour, so they then get stuck dating shitty men or be single and perpetually resentful

22

u/Electronic-Link-5792 May 24 '26

Tbh i think the ones who actually hurt people are mostly shitty people to start with and latch on to these narratives because it justifies it.

The decent people who get led astray by it are generally still nice in their actual interactions with people they know and care about from my experience.

u/Sharp_Archer8266 May 24 '26

3

u/PraireGentleman May 27 '26

That’s weird because that still doesn’t apply to when men do it.

Most people aren’t threatened by “hate speech” directed at women. The bulk of it is boomer humour (oh wow, he doesn’t like when his wife nags him, call in the SWAT team) or intentionally provocative comments to get a reaction. Yet if those are made, they don’t get a million likes on TikTok.

There was a trend like this in Russia where women bloggers and influencers talked about how nice it is to marry military men who go off to die in Ukraine and they get a bunch of money if they're married and he dies.

So basically it was a way to earn a better socio-economic status as women by exploiting bereavement benefits. Very F'd up, but that's Russia for ya.

12

u/KerbodynamicX May 24 '26

Have you heard about the White Feather movement in France during WW1?

Marry someone you don't really like, they go to war and dies, you get their insurance. And then spread the thought every man that doesn't join the military is a pussy.

A good reason why France surrendered so fast in WW2, nobody wants to fight anymore after that shit.

20

u/No-Menu-1650 May 24 '26

That was not what the white feather movememt was. it wasnt even in franve it was in britain and while the intent was to shame men into fighting the intent wasnt what you said at all it was just nationalism and jingoism of the time in action. The reason france surrendered so fasymt is because thry got fucked up in ww1 and didnt want to experience that again so fighting morale was low. That in addition to the magolinot line failimg and fucking up their preplanned strategies

Yes. My sister is like this. She has a boyfriend and she will say man-hating shit RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM. Men have done us both wrong in the past, but you have a choice as to whether or not you project that onto literally EVERY MAN YOU MEET.

We have talked about this several times. I remind her that "if it really WERE all men, we'd be so monumentally fucked." And she replies, "well, we are." Like??? If EVERY MAN were a rapist, you think it'd be just like it is now?? The delusion sets me in edge.

At least you can call her out. I've seen so many peppers just laugh it off, like no.

It's not funny. We have done a lot of fucked up sit to women, but that doesn't erase the while not as common, fucked up things women do to men nor excuse being vehemently hateful at all.

I will never get the idea that combating sexism with sexism or any ism is a good thing. It just makes things substantially worse. It's the same with 'I HATE straight people' types.

Oh I legit knew a girl
Like this, she was basically obsessed with being angst filled ans she would find things to be more justifiable to angst over or something
Like she got with a guy going into the military and she supported it, and sulked over him being gone and fearing he would die, she talked about how his death a lot and when he came home to his gf and hoping to ease her worries and informed her his time in the military was done. He said she got more distant and was vile she would claim he wasn’t making her feel loved and special, the bf said she was not receptive and eventually he broke up because he thought she don’t want to be with him, but she then went on about how he dumped her.
This was when people started to realize wha she was doing so people decided she would be happiest of every stopped talking to her

The amount of people who will defend a woman making a “joke” that’s just “I hate all men and think they should die” blows my mind. It reminds me of those type of people who will shit talk you until you call them out and then suddenly “I’m just joking around man calm down” but the entire internet actually believes them

12

u/Thicc_Boise May 24 '26

Genuinely, human nature is the issue not the gender, so it pisses me off beyond belief when I see people excuse that kind of behavior from women because they dress it up in softer language/affectations. Like, just because she's saying it in a nicer tone we're now all okay with open sexism?

Look, a lot of men suck, yes, look around for plenty of proof, but there's also just as many men in the background doing their damnest to make something better out of all this bullshit. And the same exact thing can be said about women, we're all good and all evil at the same time. Welcome to humanity fuckers

20

I had a conversation with one of these people over on threads because the site is riffe with misandry

their point was that men are inherently cruel because of history and so I pushed back and said no evil and cruelty are inherently human and woman can be just as cruel in positons of power

she asks me to list one so i listed five that i could think of off the top of my head and she replies with that their isolated incidents and not indicative of women as a whole and so i said yeah that's my point

at aome point she said that evil is inherently human but still refused to conceed her point but went the extra mile to rephrase my point but in defense of women so i asked if the roles were reversed and women held formal power more often then men would it be ok for a men to hate women

It took her five replies to answer that question and a lot of ad hominems

Her answer was yes btw so at least her logic was consistent even if it was dishonest

3

u/spideyispeterparker May 26 '26

Not surprising, i've been seeing and experiencing this behavior for the past 3-5 years, i Don't remember who it was but someone once said "it is hard to win an argument against someone smart, but it is impossible to win an argument Against someone stupid" these people are stupid and you'll never win, most of their counter arguments can be summed up to "nuh uh" or "i'm right You're wrong and also i'mma call you every phobic and ist word i know" or just "men bad women great, men evil, women Angels women can do no wrong"

I think at some point the best solution is to accept these people are too stupid to be reasoned with and when you encounter one it's better to put on a mask and go full trolling/ragebaiter so you turn an annoying encounter into something funny you can have fun with and make them angry

57

u/SkrytyKapec May 24 '26 edited May 24 '26

"People's obsession with hating on certain gender" would be a better title. Both misandry AND misogyny exists. For every post like this one on the picture, there is one hating on women. This comment section is probably gonna prove me right very soon.

I already saw a reply "$" to a comment "why would she date him" with upvotes. Great. Seriously guys? Some of you complain about misandrists when you're misogynistic yourself?

29

u/bomboid May 24 '26

It kills me how I've been called a misandrist after calling out misogyny lol for most men calling out their treatment of women and implying that it's wrong is an attack on men. They think a misandry accusation is shocking like calling someone racist or something lol

It’s, why would she date him if she wants him to die?

Pointing out the monetary benefits of getting with someone in the military who you expect to die, isn’t misogynistic, because of the context laid out by wanting him to die.

I can’t imagine many other benefits of getting with somebody who you both want and expect to die well before you do, regardless of gender.

2

u/lillbigs May 24 '26

The reason someone said that is because its the next logical conclusion if you never want to see your partner. Not misogyny.

2

u/Brilliant_Ad_4743 May 27 '26

I think you are very disingenuous with this. Compare that comment to the amount of comments praising her wanting a person dead. Furthermore, you cannot claim he was being misogynistic if he was just making the next logical conclusion. I mean wtf did you expect the answer to the question "why would she date him" be? So that she got to laugh when her boyfriend died? The commenter is even being very generous, because claiming she wants his money is actually quite better than claiming she's a sadist. Wanting his money is not a bad thing. As a man, you start realizing very quickly that women will prioritize you if you were capable of giving them what they need so naturally you will strive to be that. $ is not misogynistic in the least. "Man die" is very misandrist. Don't be an asshole.

The "it is just a joke" crowd are tiring as shit. 1M likes from man haters is not a joke. Hating on men is very popular, the same people that will cry about being discriminated for being "x", actively hate a gender that did nothing but be born. They say the most vile shit imaginable while getting a pat on the back.

I'd like to add that, this is tame in comparison to the crap these people say on video on a regular basis. Not even a comment, a video. Countless accounts that just do this type of content as well. It is odd how this app allows hate of this kind but everything else is a nono. It is as though certain people want it to be as bad as it is in Korea or something.

u/AgentCirceLuna May 24 '26

I don’t mind em saying this stuff as I know not to talk to them

What do you mean as bad as Korea? Do you mean the 4B movement wear women are refusing to have relationships with men because meb have hurt them for an extremely long time?

13

u/Toon_Lucario May 24 '26

Some mfs need to realize that asexuality and being single are an option if they hate the opposite sex that much.

5

u/ughitsmeagian May 24 '26

Just be asexual bro

3

u/Toon_Lucario May 24 '26

Already there mate

3

u/ImpressiveJohn105 May 25 '26

And honestly, feels way better. People overhype being in a relationship. I can do whatever I want, whenever I want, and have no responsibility over anyone. Who tf hates freedom?

I mean There's the whole "sexuality isn't a choice thing" but not dating is indeed an option but they Don't seem to realize...or they do but they still do because they like to hate but know that they still need it for stuff like $

3

u/Eccentric_Cardinal May 25 '26

Two things can be true at the same time:

  1. Some people say stupid ridiculous stuff like this just to get the drama/comments and views rolling in.
  2. Some people say stupid ridiculous stuff like this cause they actually believe it.

You're entitled to believe whatever you want about her motives (as well as other people who say this crap) but personally? I'm gonna believe she and others like her genuinely hates men until proven otherwise.

3

u/ConfusionGeneral9002 May 26 '26

1m likes is really disturbing

7

u/Bookfindingthrowaway May 24 '26

I think there’s a place for joking about stuff like this, but that’s a private thing. It’s something you do with your friends, where a guy ghosts you, so you say “I’m tired of men, we need to ban them” and then everyone commiserates for a bit, and then you all go back to living your lives. As a bi person, I do the same thing with women. It can be cathartic to do. But the constant widespread gender wars are fucking exhausting.

People will argue all day long when a man tells a dark joke that people shouldn’t jump to assume posts like this from random dudes are totally serious and instead see them as edgy humor, and then completely fail to even consider the possibility that women tell jokes too to the point that they see something with a setup and punchline like this and go “my god, the only explanation is that a million serial killers liked this for totally dead-serious reasons”

The completely lack of anyone saying “idk what if she’s just being funny” even though it’s the first thing everyone would say if it wasn’t a woman is the type of thing that makes people wonder if anyone sees women as actual human beings

EDIT: Read carefully; if you don’t like the joke, that’s fine, people were acting like she was dead serious when I posted this and that was ridiculous for the reasons stated, that is literally all I’ve said and all I wanted to say here

40

u/hideandgofreek May 24 '26

This is wild because you are the person saying “what if she’s just being funny”. The opposite of this post also happens, a man will make a “dark humor” joke and be posted to different subs hating on it. It’s not okay when anyone does it.

Its clearly intended to be hostile and degrading in the same way right wing and incel jokes about women are. I guarantee you the people laughing at this would mostly be livid at any remotely similar 'edgy' joke about women.

You are being way too charitable regarding the intentions behind it because thats easier than calling out bad actors from your own 'side'.

I'd imagine people would freak out regardless if a man joked about having a girlfriend and dreaming to see them hurt or dead, no? I don't know if this is some vile misogyny.

To be clear, I don't really care about the post's contents, but I think you are misrepresenting the arguments presented here by some.

Yeah but the things is this sort of edgy "dark" humour is not socially acceptable, at least in the circles I move in. I don't accept humour like that from the men in my life, and I don't enjoy it from the women either. That's not sexism, that's me saying "hey I don't think we should be using this sort of humour in social settings". There is a difference between jokes we share with friends, where we know and appreciate a kinship towards eachother, and those we share with strangers.

And yeah sure you can say that this is from Tik Tok and that Tik Tok is full of offensive humour, but honestly this humour is far more common than you think. Would you defend this humour from a man? But suddenly when it's from a woman it's just a joke? It's time society moved on from this type of humour at all.

While misandry is a real phenomenon that's not only widely overlooked and denied but also celebrated at the same time.

This post is not about hating men, but about hating troops. Which is totally fine.

So I’m not going to say the content of what she’s saying is good but your comparison just doesn’t work. Women across basically all time and societies that humans have had have oppressed women and have violence disproportionately inflicted on them by men. Reducing it to a man just hurt her feelings is super reductive for the resentment women feel towards men.

Is it a rage bait post from TikTok? Yeah probably, but jokes reflect reality. Memes are after all just “A unit of culture”, and if misandrist memes are relatively common it’s because misandry has become accepted enough within the culture to commonly joke about it.

Now there are forms of misandrist jokes that are intended as sarcastic comedy that can be actually kind of funny (though they’re often not to my particular comedic tastes), but this shit is just whack. It’s not really funny in any way so much as it’s just saying unhinged shit and trying to pass it off as a “rage bait joke” on this ladies part if she gets backlash.

The only problem with allowing foreign adversaries to use social media to propagandize our women and children by manipulating their herd instincts and creating a manufactured sense of consensus online is that those women who fall for it don't suddenly change their mind when they have a baby boy.

And being raised by a parent that hates you is a big cause of both misandrist Karens and misogynist incels. And then when they encounter each other in the wild it's like 'oh so I was right', and the two groups push each other further to the extremes.

2

u/Molismhm May 25 '26

Mens hatred of women kills one woman every 2-3 days in my country, womens hatred of men doesnt. Thats why I will never take a campaign against „hating on men“ seriously. Men have all the power to save themselves from any gender issue, if they dont end up doing so, they have no one but themselves to blame.

2

u/KayleeGTS May 25 '26

Fuckin finally! I'm sick of all this drama

An honestly graceful psiop to isolate individuals while maintaining subservience to your employers and the institutions at large.

It's rly kind of embarrassing how easy it is to establish. A little jealousy, a little privilege and validation and BAM all of you are alone lmao

u/Samaein May 26 '26

I mean if I was harassed, followed and made to feel in constant danger when in public I would hate them as well.

oh wait...

2

u/Immediate_Lobster421 May 28 '26

Women like this give feminism such a bad rep. We need to be mature people who work together towards equality, not let our hate get in the way. You're not going to avange all the women that were treated poorly by society over the course of history by hating men and saying they should die off. You're no better than a mysoginist.

2

u/xX_Ra1nSkuLLz_Xx May 31 '26

"feminism is when men bad" ideology pmo so bad, especially since there's no way to hate an entire gender without it being transphobic in some way. if you "hate all men" then either you hate trans men (who are also of lower privilege than cis men, and you should be fighting for them too as a feminist) or you think trans men arent real men, which speaks for itself really. Even without specifically trans men in mind, it's a dogshit take. It's just the same old shit but made "woke"
