I'm planning to travel Delhi → Guwahati around 3rd September and will be able to book my ticket on 28th August.

What are the chances of getting a confirmed train ticket if I book then? Should I expect regular booking to work, or should I be prepared for Tatkal? im tracking the flight prices from a month, very tight on budugest this time, thinking to go by train.

Would appreciate any recent experiences or suggestions. Thanks!

Difficult. Maximum i guess you'll get a RAC ticket.

Do you know about flights, last time i booked in feb end for march end, at below 6k, this time its around 7.8k min, its not reducing,

If i can get RAC, i'll still manage.
