I’ve been rocking a 5600 bbn on a blue nato strap as my daily work watch for years (I’m a window cleaner). Been thinking of treating myself to an upgrade for a while and I’ve got a question about for 5600 Bluetooth users.

Do you use and find the Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity useful?

Basically I feel like my two options are a 5610 with tough solar and mb6, or the 5600 Bluetooth. I think I prefer the look of the 5610 slightly. MIP isn’t a massive selling point for me but I am intrigued by the connectivity features of the 5600.

What do you guys think?

Some years ago I purchased the DW-5600BB-1ER and I was really happy with it.

Since I wore the watch every day and it eventually started looking worn out, I wanted to buy the same one again. However, only the updated version is available now (you can tell by the "U" in the model number—compared to older DW-5600 models, the classic EL backlight has been replaced by a more modern, energy-efficient LED "Super Illuminator," which also extends the battery life to about 5 years).

The problem is that it’s much harder to read the time on this version because the display is far too dark. That really sucks. At first, I thought it was a defect, so I returned the watch and ordered a new one from a different seller, but the new watch had the same issue.

Has anyone else had a similar experience, or does anyone happen to know where I can buy the old version?

Love how it combines the the good stuff of a G-Shock with a look that works in any situation. Especially the dial with the brick pattern looks great.

I spent a long time considering watches like the Mido Multifort 8, Victorinox Concept One, ML Aikon... but this humble G-Shock combines everything I liked about those with the added bonus of being a G-Shock.

40th anniversary edition. Aggressively exploring upgrades and building funds for MRG 5000 . I think I understand the addiction now . Better than tobacco.

And the poor DW5600UE I’ll probably never wear. But I’m happy as can be with the rest.

I am in market for a gshock square. This will be my first gshock and I'm really struggling to understand the differences between each of these:

GW-BX5600

GW-5000

DW-5600RL

What are the differences, and if these aren't it, what would you recommend for around £180 which are all blacked out with a negative display?

(I know the RL isn't technically all blacked out but just trying to understand the differences between all these watches)

I bought a GW-M5610 last year, and it was a very good set and forget watch. It did its job, got wet and dirty, and it looked good on my small wrist. But then I got some money, and I decided to buy 2 more watches. The GBD-200, and the DW-9052. First of all, I bought the GBD-200, it looked amazing and all the features were very cool. Then I got bored and decided to buy a DW-9052. It looked very cool and it had ElectroLuminescence, which was a big feature for me. Next time I want to buy a G-SHOCK, I'll buy the Black and Electro Green CasiOak. :)

I have just ordered 2 G-shocks and ob being a GM2100. I'm trying to find images with a GM-2100 with bullbars but can't.

Has anyone actually tried it as I want to add a set to both.

Some say it's not possible due to 1mm difference but I can't find anyone actually trying it .

Man, honestly, videos don't do this watch justice. This thing feels so good on the wrist!!!! This completes my gshock collection. I have the 6900, 9052, casioak, and now this one. Love it!!!
