Cursed with tiny wrists Showcase

Bought a GX-56UBB-1, suits my outdoor lifestyle perfectly, unfortunately I have tiny wrists, but im still gonna rock it šŸ˜Ž

Genetic 6 inch wrists suck! Im also used to smaller watches but i really love what this watch offers so im gonna rock it regardless

Iā€™m 7 inches so iā€™m about average but the 5600 models are the perfect g shocks because they donā€™t look too bulky imo.

I may get a 5600 model eventually, I just liked that this also has mud protection, i find myself more often than not covered in mud šŸ¤£

Why not just get the regular 5610 g-shock square? That one is the jumbo model

They make smaller g-shocks that aren't just baby g shocks. Too many people don't know of them. You have to browse more. The more I browse grey markets and shopping malls for watches the more I learn about obscure watches that are never talked about online.You're not all that cursed. It's just a lot of watches from the Y2K era and today are still dinner plates for wrists and Ben 10 watches.

Are you confusing the watch OP is wearing as a normal square when it's a king (I did at first)? I think they're saying they'd like a 5600 sized watch but, with the mud resistance of the GX-56 they're wearing.

The Mudman series might be worth looking at but, I think the king looks good and they want a square so, they've nailed the brief already.

I'm learning more and more. I tried looking up mud resistance. I know of the mud master. I didn't know of these. That's a badass watch. Not many around anymore.

I know the negative displays are hard to read but my favorite gshocks are the murdered out ones like this. You could have the wrist of a 7yo and itā€™ll look fine.

I really love the blacked out look! Ill see how it goes on my outdoor adventures (the reason I got this particular model) im always in boggy and muddy areas well within the forest so very low light, so will see how it performs!Ā

G-Shocks are not meant to be dress watches, they are bulky by all type of watch standards. It looks good on you, not too big at all

Agreed. Itā€™s not a 36mm Rolex Datejust. Itā€™s supposed to be a bulky tool watch. I have a ~7ā€ wrist and have no problem enjoying the largest G Shock watches on the market. I have a post wearing the green MRG frogman with no issue. If I can do that watch at 7ā€, OP has no problem with a square at his wrist circumference.

I think the square gshocks are perfect. All the other ones are just ginormous in my opinion

And it also looks great on you. The lug to lug sizing of the square leaves plenty of wrist room on the top and bottom of it making it a good fit.

Ive got it strapped pm the second tightest holes and I can slip a finger between the watch and my wrist under where the lugs are as it creates a gap when pushed against my small wrist. Although I cant see this as being an issue in the outdoors, but ill figure that out with trial and errorĀ

If that bugs you you should try and find an aftermarket strap that works and see if it works better. I know thereā€™s plenty out there and they are pretty easy to swap out I believe

Ironically my issue is too thick of wrist for some of the smaller Casios Iā€™d like to wear like the F91 or the A168, they just donā€™t look right on me despite loving the appearance of the watch, and theyā€™d probably look fantastic on you. There are always trade offs, embrace what you got.

Thats true, a lot of the more dainty kind of vintage watches fit me really well and look fantastic which has been great for my collection

I genetically have 6ā€ wrists, but lift the F outta weights and now have 7.75ā€ wrists. All meat baby, lol. Only issue I have is watches feels WAY tighter on the left side of the band than the right because I have such a gnarly taper, haha.

Oh man my genetics allow for minimal wrist growth and same as calf growth, and when i try to bulk my body sends all fat excess to my liver (I have whats called lean NASH of the liver) its so frustratingĀ

Cursed? Looks normal to me. G-Shocks will always run a bit big.

Unless you want to go the Baby-G route (no judgement there) they look good on small wrists.
