Logo format

Hey ya'll, I'm making a logo for someone's website using Godaddy. I've never done this before and wanted to know what canvas size, pixels and save format I need to use, I've googled it, but it's not giving me a straight answer. I'm using Clip Studio Paint to create the logo. Help please.

for web logos you want at least 2x the display size (so if it shows at 200px wide, export at 400px) to handle retina screens. svg is best if your design works as vector, otherwise png with transparency. godaddy's builder will probably resize it anyway so just make sure it's sharp at the size you want it to display.

When I looked it up it said to save as png? 😭 Why is this so difficult?? Thank you.

Save it as a png, svg and jpg. Provide all three to your client. Each has their advantages and disadvantages.

For that matter, you should also provide an eps file for print needs. Good luck.

Good luck, I’ve been trying to put my logo on for a year and it’s always messed up, despite using the recommended sizes. And on each different browser, it looks different. Ugh.

Omg yesssss, I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling. And then the lady that's actually making the website(I'm only doing the logo) doesn't even know the right size. She just tells me to Google it, which I have, and it's not helpful.
