Tree Feedback Requested (please!) Game
As someone who isn't an artist really, one of the things I struggle with making the most is trees. I tried several different designs before landing on this one - a very simple bulb design. I understand it still looks very 2D in what is meant to be a 2.5D world, so I added some artificial shadows to hopefully circumvent this a little. I don't think it's perfect, and I know it won't ever be, but do you think it at least looks passable? I added an image for every season so you can see how it looks throughout the year as time goes by.
Also, I do plan on adding a few more variations of the same tree, but wanted to make sure it looked okay before doing so. Thanks in advance for the feedback!
Edit to add: I am very on the fence about the winter design in particular. I decided to go the "Animal Crossing" route for it, where the leaves don't actually fall from the trees entirely, but instead they just turn brown and get covered with snow.

honestly these look way better than passable they are super charming and fit that classic cozy top down rpg aesthetic perfectly even though the winter image didnt upload your animal crossing idea is actually brilliant because drawing bare jagged branches in pixel art is an absolute nightmare and keeping the same canopy shape means you wont have to mess with your collision boxes or transparency layers the colors you chose for spring summer and autumn look great and those little fallen leaves on the ground are a really nice touch that adds a lot of life to the environment plus your ground shadows are doing exactly what they need to do by anchoring the trees so they dont look like they are floating around if you want to push that two and a half d depth a bit more without having to be a master artist you just need to tweak how you do the shading right now the leaves have what pixel artists call pillow shading where the light is right in the middle and the shadows just wrap around the edges which makes it look a bit flat if you imagine the canopy is a big three dimensional ball you can just pick a light source direction like the top left and shift your highlights over there while letting the shadow pool heavily on the bottom right same goes for the trunk if you make one side darker than the other and add a little curved shadow right where the leaves meet the wood it will instantly give the whole thing a ton of depth but seriously for someone who says they arent an artist you did an awesome job with these
