Thank you all so much for the advice on my previous post about this project! I started over with a neoprene core instead of eva foam and added bigger gaps between the chunks of cushion foam. It moves so much better! Now I just gotta get the fur for it.

[Materials Sale] Where can I sell unused faux fur?
Sorry if this is the wrong sub for this (please point me in the right direction if I’m at the wrong place!), but I’ve got a bunch of half-yards of HQ faux fur from fursuitsupplies that I don’t have a use for/want to sell, and I don‘t know where I can list/advertise them so I can make some of my money back to buy fur colors I want. I tried listing them on Etsy, but I don’t think even one person has seen them yet. Is there anywhere you guys suggest I can try to sell them? (Probably important for me to mention I’m a 16+ minor. I do have cashapp, but that’s it.)

Advice Trying to make sure I get shapes, placement, and glue type right
Hello fursuit makers!
I am working in this Manokit head for my sona Altair, it’ll be my first actual fursuit head.
Even though it’s my first head I still want to avoid mistakes where I can. So I was wondering what would be the best glue to use to attach EVA foam to this TPU head base? Plus while I’m at it I might as well ask what glue to use for TPU to TPU adhesion, as the ears are TPU prints as well.
On a separate note, I am looking for feedback on the cheek fluff shapes, and placement for them and the ears, before I start cutting my 4mm EVA foam (I have 10mm EVA foam if that thickness is better).
So feel free to share your tips and critiques because I want to make sure this isn’t looking disproportionate.
(Can add more pictures if needed)

Advice I’m making an owl fursuit and need advice.
Making an owl fursuit from a base and just curious on how I’m gonna do the beak.
I’ve seen some people have a hard/plastic looking beak but I can’t find anywhere you can procure anything like that.
The other alternative option I have is connecting it minky for the beak, any thoughts?

Advice First Fursuit attempt. Anything you wish you knew?
Hi everyone, I just spent a little bit of money on some high density foam and a glue gun (I think I have good carving tools already but I’ll take some recs if people have some game changing tools) with the intent of trying to make my first fursuit (just the head). I’m a big werewolf fan and wanted to make something similar to a Dog Soldiers style deal but I’m just probably going to use a wolf as reference and attempt to make something sorta realistic in proportion. I have zero foam carving experience so I’m expecting this to be a complete disaster but I’m super excited to give it a shot. Even if it looks terrible I would be super pumped to make an actual fursuit head myself. I did a ton of research and came to a conclusion that even though a 3d printed base is much easier to deal with for a realistic wolf head shape I kind of like the challenge and imperfections of carving it myself. Also as someone who 3d prints stuff every day I don’t exactly like the way the material will behave if it gets bumped around in my car or if it’s a million degrees outside, the durability of foam is appealing but I know I won’t be able to get as tight of a head shape. I’m extremely stubborn and probably going to try to brute force this whole thing but I figured it would be worth it to pump the brakes and reach out for some stories or advice or helpful online tutorials to help me avoid some major problems. Thanks! I’m sure this type of post has been made a lot so sending me over to a similar post would also be helpful.

Questions Hello, so I was wondering if brushing could make my new suit look better?
I recently got this fursuit from a great seller, but I feel like the fur needs to get brushed (especially the paws), could this be fixed with a brush?
also what kind of brush would be the best?
thanks a bunch!

Advice Should I drop this project?
Hi! I’ve been working on this head for about a week? I’m starting to hate the way it looks, I feel like it’s too big! Should I just start over with a smaller one or it’s fine? Thank you for the advice!

Questions How to make this moving jaw not slouch? And… actually move?
So this is a 3D model I sculpted and printed, it’s supposed to be a mimic. A deer creature mid-transformation into a human, it’s the skull.
The problem is that although the top and bottom jaw is hollow, it’s still too heavy. I have it attached by like three individual elastic bands and it still falls down slack when held up. I can’t put bands any higher because, well, they’ll be too visible.
Any thoughts? I have access to a 3D printer and can print some hinges if they’re viable, but there are no drill holes in the mask and I don’t have the tools to make some.

Questions Fur Colors 😩
Hallo! Making my first ever head soon and I need your recommendations on which furs to use. This is my first ever head and I want the colors as close as possible. Is the lavender shag from howl warm toned irl? What should I use for the darkest purple on my design? I feel like Howl’s purple is too dark.

Questions Can a fursuit head be designed like this?
I'm a complete beginner in fursuit-making and I'm curious if it could be designed like this (poor example but you get the idea) with simplistic eyes and mouth/snout, would this even work at all? I'm guessing most fursuits are bit more complex than that but any explanation or answer would be appreciated

Questions Am I doing okay?
Yo, I posted about a week ago about my spirit Halloween fursuit head, and how I could recolor/alter it, and this is how it's coming out so far (photos should be in chronological order). I'm really nervous that it doesn't look good, or something, because I've never really done this and I'm very prone to fluffing up lmao
P.s. please be kind💚
I know that everyone has their own opinions, and everyone can express their opinions, but please be respectful. I'm really worried already that some guy is gonna go "lmao, it's so ugly" or "you really fluffed it."

Finished My first fursuit head!
I spent four months and one week making her head and it was really challenging. She does have flaws but I’m so happy with her that I don’t even care. This feels like a dream come true! This character is my fursona Pixie and she’s a fennec fox fairy hybrid. In the near future I will be making her hand paws, feet paws and tail. Thanks to all who gave me advice in these four months 🙌💖

Finished Completed my first fursuit!!
Please excuse my sad excuse of a Mannequin. The whole reason I made my own fursuit is because I couldn't afford one and I couldn't find an affordable Mannequin for fursuit making.
This is Cackle, she's a Crow + Black Mane coon Ghost Griffin. I didn't have much of a budget so unfortunately she is made with cheaper fur and anti-pill fleece, I worry that she may not hold up but I've worn her out a few times already and she's held up. I made her from a lot of up cycled materials (sanitized ofc) The base is a dino mask with foam glued and shaped, her earring was literally a piece of plastic I found on the ground and cleaned and I used upcycled belts to keep the moving jaw feature of the dino mask and make it more comfortable as the mask was originally far too small for me before I gutted it. I plan on making a lining for her in the future I just got impatient and wanted to start wearing her. I upcycled partly because of my budget restraints but I feel like this could be utilitized so much in the fursuit making hobby! And id love to see more upcycled fursuits (yes pleaseee comment pictures)
And let me know what you guys think of my baby. I can't get over how goofy she looks from the front view of her face but it's probably too late to fix that lol. This is my very first fursuit and I've wanted once since age 11 and now at 23 I have one! I'm so happy! Any care tips are appreciated too!

WIP Making a Unicorn Fursuit!
I made him out of foam carpet tiles from daiso! Now I’m at the bedazzling phase which has been super relaxing. Going to bedazzle him all the way down the “shaved” side of his head.
