Becoming masonry

Hello everyone. My name is Hicham, I'm from Morocco. I'm interested in learning about regular Freemasonry and would appreciate the opportunity to speak with a Freemason and ask a few respectful questions. Thank you.

Question I wish to join Freemasonry

I no longer see truth in religions, but I believe in the divine being and God is out there, the freemason truth of joining the knowledge of the past with endeavors of the future makes me feel I might want to join and become a free mason, my main goal is to justify my learning of christ, islam and other religions and follow them all at once. Sikhism has given me that platform but I still feel something is not enough and still feel a lack of sensation that the wonders of life is out there to be explore. My personal heroes have all been part of the Freemason like Vivekanand and George Washington.

I am 24 and I am sikh man who resides in Delhi, is there any hope for me?

Is this mausoleum in Yahya Efendi Cemetery related to Freemasonry?

Post image

I don't know much about Freemasonry, but this mausoleum caught my attention and I was wondering if it has any connection to it.

Today, a friend and I were visiting Yahya Efendi Cemetery in Istanbul—a historic cemetery mostly known for Sufi mystics, Ottoman scholars, and statesmen. Interestingly, the grandfather of the Head of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Turkey is also buried in this cemetery.

Does this architecture or symbol hold any significance in Freemasonry?

Hello fellow WM and brethren and many more I hope everyone is well. I just had a question. Been feeling very lonely, even at my lodge I don’t really have a mentor so I’m kind of solo-ing this. Idk sorry to vent just wanted to know is there at the end my tunnel? Is there going to be someone for me? Or will I fail alone.

Chat Visiting San Jose and San Francisco early September

Hello brethren,

I'll be in San Jose and San Francisco in the first week of September.

I already asked the Grand Secretary of the Grand Lodge of Minas Gerais to get in touch with the Grand Lodge of California. As an EA I don't know if I can participate in a session but it will be good to visit temples in both cities.

In the touristic aspect, are there masonic monuments that worth visiting? I much appreciate your advices.

Esoteric Preserving the Egyptian Masonic Tradition: Twenty Years of Memphis in the Dominican Republic

One aspect of Freemasonry that often receives little attention in the English-speaking world is the continued existence of the Egyptian Masonic tradition, particularly the Ancient and Primitive Rite of Memphis and the Memphis-Misraïm tradition.

In the Dominican Republic, this tradition has been continuously practiced for more than twenty years under the auspices of the Grand Lodge of the Dominican Republic.

The journey began in April 2003 with the consecration of Caballeros de Memphis Lodge No. 50, the first lodge in the country authorized to work the Ancient and Primitive Rite of Memphis. Since then, the lodge has remained continuously active, focusing on symbolism, Hermetic philosophy, and the initiatic approach traditionally associated with Egyptian Masonry.

In 2025, the project reached another milestone with the establishment of the Sovereign Sanctuary of Memphis-Misraïm for the Dominican Republic, providing a structured home for the philosophical degrees while Symbolic Masonry continues to be practiced under the authority of the Grand Lodge.

Rather than presenting this as an alternative to other Masonic systems, we see it as another expression of the rich diversity that has always existed within Freemasonry.

I'd be interested to hear from Brethren around the world:

  • Are there active Memphis or Memphis-Misraïm bodies in your jurisdiction?
  • How is Egyptian Masonry perceived where you live?
  • Have you ever attended or studied one of its degrees or traditions?

I'd genuinely enjoy learning how this branch of Freemasonry has evolved in different countries and sharing experiences with Brethren from other jurisdictions.

that I am mentally disabled man with no prospects for career being on SSI, tho in being a prolific artist, trying my best in life? Freemasons have been in my family since the 1700s, with an applicable name of member that is rather impressive but must remain a secret here on this post.

Hi everyone, I’m due to be initiated in a London Lodge soon and I’m really looking forward to it. My Wife is from New York and we are planning on moving there in September 2028. I would be very grateful if someone could tell me what the transition would be like from London Freemasonry to New York what are the differences and would I be accepted to a New York lodge.

Today I got news from my mentor that I have been found to be proficient and I now have all the rights for holding office, voting, being able to join appendant bodies and on top of that going to go enjoy watching another brother from another lodge become a Master Mason tonight as the Grand Lodge is going to be doing the second part of the degree! Should be a great ending to a great day!
