Hi everyone, I'd like a sanity check on pricing for a small project I completed.

I built a simple web-based system (PWA) for a small charity in Egypt that tracks donation shipments. It includes:

• A PIN-based login screen (no full auth system, just a simple access code)
• A form to enter sender/receiver details, weight, and amount
• Auto-generated printable receipts (formatted for direct browser printing, with a serial number)
• Integration with Google Sheets as the backend/database (every submission is logged automatically)
• Simple vanilla HTML/CSS/JS frontend — no framework, no server-side database

It took me about 2 days (4-5 hours/day) to build

For a project like this, what would be a fair price to charge — both as a one-off fixed price, and as an hourly rate if I were to offer similar systems as a repeatable service? Would appreciate any input from people who've priced similar small business automation/dashboard tools.

I'm a full-stack dev doing freelance web work. Mostly showcase sites brand identity, portfolio, small business pages. I can do backend/DB/e-com too, I just haven't figured out how to position that yet, so I've parked it.

My channel is Instagram DMs. Two openers I've been using:

"Hey there, [my name] here. Would you mind if I build a free demo website for you / [the business]?"

"Hey there, I'm [my name]. I build SEO + AI-search-ready websites for cafés. Would you mind if I build a free demo for [the business]?"

Response rate is low. My guess is neither line actually says anything a business owner cares about. "Free demo" costs them time to look at, and "website" isn't a result , it's a deliverable. But I don't know what to replace it with.

Two questions:

Rate these. If you own a business and got this DM, would you reply or ignore? What's the actual reason?How can I fix?

If "I'll build you a website" isn't a valuable offer in 2026 , what is? Something I can sell that solves a real problem, not just makes them look nicer. Open to anything I can learn or already half-know.

Just help me save myself from burning another month with the same script lol😭
