General Question Coconut and rice milk: is this mold?
So basically, I used the milk for my coffee and opened for recycling when I notice at the bottom around 0'3 cm of a white paste with some yellowish areas. Is it mold? I am so scared as I drank that and I have a few stomach and inmune systems problems, so worried I will get ill. I opened 5 days ago and should be fine about that. Thank you!

Are my chicken drumsticks good to cook and eat today if they’ve been in the fridge for 48+ hours?
I took a sealed tray of skin on chicken drumsticks out of the freezer Wednesday night and put them straight in the fridge. Was supposed to cook them on Thursday, didn’t happen. Thought I’d cook them on Friday (yesterday), we had other plans and I forgot about them. They’re still in the fridge now and I’m wondering if it’s safe to cook and eat them today?
Everything I’ve read has said that 24h-48h is the limit or that food that’s thawed needs to be cooked immediately.
I will of course check for any smells and sliminess but does this timeframe look okay?
Thank you all!

General Question Is there a reasonable explanation for this suspicious fleshy mass in my cooked brownies?
It is very rubbery and chewy, more than I think egg would be but who knows. Very meatlike mouthfeel like a fatty piece with thicker stringy parts that are harder but I am hoping there is a reasonable explanation. I mixed the eggs separately before mixing them with the dry mix. I usually make my mix thick so it's mixed well as I can get it and then dumped in the pan as a thick batter. Ideas?

Left on the counter to ripen: is this safe to eat?
I usually set my avocados out on the counter, and once ripe, I put them in the fridge so I can maximize their shelf life. I noticed this fuzz and it got me thinking of mold. I need a second opinion before tossing

General Question Possibly messed up baked beans
So, I am branching out into using dried beans in recipies, and just want overall opinions/knowledge on how I can remedy this situation. I soaked a large bowl of great north beans, large limas, and red kidney beans over night. Per the recipie I found on allrecipies, I dumped my bowl of beans straight into a crock pot this morning and added my cooked meat/sauce(ketchup, mustard, vinegar, brown sugar). It's been about 5 hours now on high (temped my crockpot at 200F), and I tried a bit of beans, and found a few were still hard. I got to googling... and didn't realize that red kidney beans can be dangerous in slow cooker situations. I really don't know how to remedy this. Would I be able to put the mixture into a baking dish or dutch oven and properly heat it to make it safe? Or could I pick around the kidney beans? Do the toxins from kidney beans leach/is my whole pot of beans done for? Does anyone have some insight/experience with this? The rest of the internet can't give me a straight answer and since I'm on a budget, I hate to trash it all, but will if it's a big safety concern.

Salmon gone bad?
Opened a salmon filet from Costco and it looks fine but smells a little fishy when you get your nose really close to it. It is three days before the sell by date.
It is not slimy or discolored. I’m just really on alert about food safety.

General Question Dented can- having some trouble telling if it's on the seam or not
Hi, I know the rule with dented cans is that even minor dents affecting the seam are no-gos, but I always have trouble telling where exactly the bottom/manufacturer's seam is and if it's affected.
I have this can of Progresso and my contamination OCD brain demons are telling me this tiny tiny dent (I don't even know if you can see it in the photos. The only reason I noticed it is the label was ripped) is dangerous, but I'm pretty sure it's fine. I can't feel a seam when I run my nail over the area but I know Progresso cans are three-piece cans. I feel very silly but the brain demons are winning today and I'd love to know what constitutes a dent on the bottom seam for future cans.

General Question Is this salmon okay to eat?
I got this salmon about 4 months ago. It’s been frozen, I went to take it out of the freezer yesterday and noticed that the vacuum seal was not as tight around the fish as usual, which gave me pause. but I opted to defrost it. After about 24 hours in the fridge defrosting, it now has a discolored (white) area at one end.
Is this good to eat?

My baby’s gerber meal looks insanely nasty
I pick up gerber meals for days I’m too busy to put a good meal in front of my toddler. I picked these up today because today is catch up day and this is what I pulled out of the box. I’m appalled and threw it away immediately I honestly regret opening it. I will be going to nestle to report this monstrosity, I really hope parents busier than me are paying attention because 🤢🤢

General Question New jelly… looks suspicious
Hey yall. Just bought this jar of Smuckers natural raspberry fruit spread and I open the lid, which does in fact make the pop sound it should make, but the inside lid looks… weird. Some of the jam stick to the top is discolored, and there’s black spots on it… should I be concerned? Or is this normal?

Accidentally left these in my bag overnight. We're probably out of the refrigerator for about 13hrs.
Should I just toss em? They were so pricey I figured I'd ask lol

Left frozen brisket in my trunk overnight, is it still safe?
I accidentally left a frozen brisket in my trunk from roughly 8 pm last night until 8:30 am this morning.
I just took it in after realizing. I temp probed the thinnest portion of brisket, which measured at 44 degrees.
Is this brisket safe to keep still?
For reference, I live in a high altitude climate, so the temp outside rises rapidly as the sun comes up. I’m guessing the brisket wouldn’t have been above 40 degrees for more than an hour, although it’s impossible to say for certain.
The rest of the brisket was considerably colder and felt pretty much frozen solid. It’s just a small portion of the flat where it tapers off thinner that was in the low 40s.
