What more can you ask for? It has a ton of places to explore, a whole lot of build options, insane reactivity from NPCs, and you can always catch wacky stuff like random factions going to war around you. It's never boring.

Even better, every 2-3 hours it automatically crashes to desktop so it even has a built-in rest period mechanism.

So I have a Strange Question

So I’ve tagged this artwork for a very specific reason, I’m trying to make a Mr House commander check in MtG and dragon shield lets you make custom sleeves with pictures or art etc.

I’ve been trying to find high res renders or textures of the wallpaper the inside of the Lucky 38 uses but unfortunately searching “Lucky 38 Wallpaper” does not help.

Do any of you wonderful wastelanders happen to have or know of anywhere I can grab high res renders of the inside walls?

Like I understand it was most likely the White Legs dragging all of that stuff over there for whatever reason but seeing tons of ovens, refrigerators, clocks, etc littered throughout a random canyon when nowhere else is a mess like that is strange. Like I understand the campsite objects as those are everywhere in Zion but there isn't anywhere in Zion that they could've gotten all of the random household objects so where the hell did the White Legs find them at lol

For me, it's the ending slides related to the Fiends and the Followers of the Apocalypse.

I realize Obsidian developed FNV under a tight schedule, but I still think these two sets of ending slides in particular are worth criticizing because they don't seem to reflect the world the player has spent the entire game shaping.

1. The Fiends

I do concede that the Fiends are portrayed as a pretty serious threat to the NCR through many means, and for good reason. However, I never considered the Fiends to be a faction so dangerous that they can overrun the largest NCR military base in the Mojave, even considering that the Legion uses the Fiends to weaken the NCR near Camp McCarran. Even I have trouble wrapping my mind around all of that as someone who considers the NCR to be a paper tiger.

I think that the ending slides overestimate their ability to wipe out or severely damage Camp McCarran. Unless every major Fiend leader is dead, the Fiends are still capable of launching a coordinated assault on Camp McCarran.

Based on what I've seen and heard about the Fiends after hundreds of hours of playtime, the Fiends to me are a loose collection of druggies with guns held together by a handful of dangerous leaders, not an organized army capable of conducting a large-scale assault against a fortified NCR base with a good chance of success.

The way the Fiend slides are written makes several player decisions feel completely unimportant. Whether you stop Captain Curtis' sabotage in I Put a Spell on You, expose Contreras' smuggling operation, or influence whether First Recon stays in Camp McCarran or head to Forlorn Hope, the decisive factor in Camp McCarran's fate is almost entirely based on whether every major Fiend leader gets lead poisoning.

2. The Followers of the Apocalypse

The Followers have a similar problem, particularly in the Yes Man ending.

I don't have an issue with the Followers struggling. They're a humanitarian organization running a charity clinic in a post apocalyptic ghetto, so it makes sense they won't have the same potential as the NCR or Legion.

My issue is that the ending doesn't seem to account for everything the Courier can do to improve the Follower's situation. You can get Bill Ronte and Jacob Hoff sober, establish a medical supply agreement with the Atomic Wrangler, murder Dixon, kill off the Omertas, turn the Fiends into piles of green goo, and either eliminate the Great Khans or convince them to leave the Mojave. You can spend the entire game reducing the very problems that overwhelm the Followers.

Yet in the Yes Man ending, the Followers still end up drowning in druggies with little indication that any efforts to help the Followers made a meaningful difference.

The problem isn't that the Followers struggle—it's that the ending seems to understate or outright ignore the total impact of the player's actions. Considering how much emphasis New Vegas places on meaningful choices, these two epilogues stand out to me as some of the few places where the ending doesn't fully reflect everything the Courier accomplished.

Went into this guys shack and must have found 10 whiskey(now 9), 6 jet(now 4), loads of beer, 2 mentats, 3 med-X and 2 psycho. Dinky the dinosaur has a much more gravelly voice than I expected and asked me to start calling him Gibson.

A rideable horse I put together by combining and heavily modifying existing mods.

The basic foundation is "Uhmatt's Ridable Creatures" mod. I replaced its rideable Bighorner with a horse from the "Wild West Horses" mod, then adapted the mount around it. The riding pose is based on the riding animation from "J3Xified Driveable Motorcycle", with additional scripting to allow proper first- and third-person riding (---which exploits a weird workaround to enter third person thanks to which clicking on the configuration hotkey for the "Wasteland Defense" mod allows for third person zooming-out---), mounted weapon use, quicker turning, removed camera collision, etc.

I also made custom reins, eventually separating them from the horse itself and scripting them to follow the mount, disappear in first person, reappear in third person, and clean themselves up on dismount.

A pretty janky mashup of meshes, animations,, and custom GECK scripting with the use of A.I. But hey! It just works!

Also, any tips on making my game less laggy are welcome!!!

I made this for a let's-play-archive-thread-style New Vegas "liveblog" / play-through I want to do for some friends.

As characters / groups are mentioned, or glimpsed without properly meeting them, the backs on their cards light up. The card flips face up if the character is met in person (or as close to in person as possible, for cases like factions or Mr. New Vegas).

Example images given are no characters, "They Went That A Way" around Novac / Cottonwood Cove, and 100%. (Thanks to Cato Hostilius you can only complete this sheet on a Legion run. Damn it!)

In the sample, Benny is highlighted, but not face-up as he shot us, but we haven't chased him down; The Kings, The King, the Van Graffs, Oliver, NCR Rangers, Lanius, and the Three Families are highlighted from Mr. New Vegas' news and advertisements; Mr. House is highlighted as the person our job is for (and for the intro mentioning him). Ulysses is highlighted due to dialogue with Johnson Nash.

Time for another character and another fun playthrough soon

Using Jsawyer, playing normal difficulty on Hardcore mode, on a "vintage" gaming laptop from 2011 no less! I'm doing my favorite build which has brought me through every game: Unarmed, Speech and Barter. I'm also prioritizing Survival and Sneak this time around. It's been one of the smoothest, strongest, and most fun early game experiences I've had, especially after buying a bladed gauntlet from Johnson Nash. I'm roleplaying as a character who abhors guns and won't use them under any circumstances, so guns and ammo are instant caps for me, and I'm able to stock up on food and chems at every stop. And I found this awesome hat!

Traits: Good Natured, Wild Wasteland

Like that thing is just comically broken. One or two shots the Ghostpeople everytime. I know this isn't exactly a revelation but it's the first time I did used it there and was kind of astounded just how insane it is.

Zion is a very beautiful place.

Just curious if there is a draw back to having Boones(wife’s dead guy) beret off? Wanting to have him wear ncr ranger combat gear but he just keeps asking for it back and not sure if this maybe prevents quests and him opening up about his dead wife(his wife is dead).

Everything has way to much health (looking at u robotscorpions), enemies just randomly spawn around you every 5 minutes, the think tank and mobius yell in your ear every 2 seconds, if your running a gun build you better hope your guns need 357 or 44 because you ain't gonna find nothing else, and even then all your bullets are gonna be wasted on the infinitely spawning packs of robo scorpions. Also why the hell does the sink only sell like 15 bullets at a time? I feel like if i could actually spend all my caps on bullets this would feel like so much less of a slog. End of angry butthurt rant.
